Calumo has amazing analytical capabilities, the efficiency is high and the reports we generate play an important role in projections and decision making within the organization. It is amazing how useful it is for tracking KPIs, financials and other important aspects of our business. I like the monthly rolling forecast and budgeting processes that this tool integrates, it allows us to have more control of income and expenses. The presentation of data in tabular form as graphs is another quality that I liked about this software. **What do you dislike about CALUMO?** It is software that involves a fairly steep learning curve, but at the same time fair for all the benefits that can be obtained once it is overcome. It is not the most dynamic software on the market. Its user interface does not have the best design. **Recommendations to others considering CALUMO:** It is a tool with amazing qualities when analyzing data, generating reports and forecasting multiple facets of your business; from KPI to financials and much more. It includes a fair learning curve, it takes a little time to adapt but I assure you it will be worth it. The impact of this software in my organization has been positive and we are happy to make it acquired. **What problems is CALUMO solving and how is that benefiting you?** Calumo has helped us to better visualize and understand the functioning of our organization and the results obtained over time, always basing its results on the collection and analysis of data from our systems. Calumo has also helped us to have a broad projection of our business finances thanks to its monthly rolling forecast function and the interpretation of data in the reports it generates, allowing us to get a step ahead and devise the right strategies for improvement. Calumo's customer service team is good, showing a lot of responsiveness when required. Monitoring KPIs, financials and other aspects of our business is now much easier and faster, it is a must-have software for our organization today. ### 2. Dynamic reporting tool. Driver-based forecasting is critical in organisations, but a full excel-based model, pulling data from various systems, running the calculations within Excel to arrive at metrics for forecasting is heavy in performance and data, prone to errors and easy to get corrupted. Calumo facilitates this, running the calculations within the data warehouse and pulling the pre-calculated metrics and KPIs for easy reference and use in a rolling forecast. In addition, there were pre-set reports enabling what-if analysis in test databases, pulling in actual historical data, allowing for dynamic business modelling and strategic partnership with the business units. **What do you dislike about CALUMO?** Creating new reports in excel is heavy in syntax and there is a fair learning curve. If certain dimensions are missed within the syntax, depending on the complexity of the report, they are hard to locate and rectify. Similar market tools are significantly more dynamic when it comes to creating your own excel reports for ad-hoc, quick financial modelling and analysis. **Recommendations to others considering CALUMO:** Assess integration of Calumo to new BI tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, significantly powerful in the fast evolving Data & Analytics space. True integration of ERP, reporting and BI tools are critical for succesful digital transformation. **What problems is CALUMO solving and how is that benefiting you?** Throughout 9 years in my prior organisation, Calumo was the primary reporting tool for all finance-related reports and insights. EOM P&L and Balance sheet reports were used. With its ability to drill through individual revenue and expense lines, connected to the organisations accounting ERP, it provided quick insight into critical details. The monthly rolling-forecast and yearly budgeting process were also done in Calumo, which in my view was its best attribute. An easy to run driver-based rolling forecast, enabling collaboration and participation from business units and a true partnership between finance and business for strategic reviews. ### 3. We are able to report daily and monthly on financial and non-financial indicators. Able to perform fast ad-hoc self service queries and generate standard reports where other users can refresh as needed. Reporting is able to be combined with excel, making results more powerful. **What do you dislike about CALUMO?** Nothing, other than at first the number of measures and data fields can be a bit overwhelming. However after more familiarity with these, ad hoc data queries are extremely simple and fast. **Recommendations to others considering CALUMO:** The team at Calumo are very responsive and always keen to implement enhancements and improve the user experience. **What problems is CALUMO solving and how is that benefiting you?** More insight to root causes of issues. Go to a Club Calumo event and talk to other users. When you consider the costs of alternatives, look carefully at the costs to administer, the training required, the licensing model that allows you to get the benefits out to all your people, and the flexibility in the presentation layer to do precisely what you can imagine you will require. We looked hard, Calumo came up as the correct answer, and that has been borne out in 2 years hard usage. Look for a vendor whose Consultants can contribute to your business - in our business, Calumo Consultants are invited to project and team meetings from time to time, and are a hugely valuable sounding board for everything from metric design and usage, to change management. **What problems is CALUMO solving and how is that benefiting you?** Daily Operational and periodic interactive (commentary capturing) Reporting Planning Performance improvement. ### 8.
