Cala HQ Reviews & Product Details

CalaHQ is straightforward leave and absence management software for small, growing and remote teams. It gives employees a simple way to request vacation, sick leave, PTO and other types of absence, while managers can review and approve requests without relying on emails, spreadsheets or unnecessary back-and-forth. Each company can define its own leave types, allowances and rules to match the way the business actually works. Employees can see their available leave balance, submit requests in seconds and keep track of their upcoming time off. Managers get a clear overview of requests and team availability, making it easier to approve leave fairly and avoid scheduling problems. The shared team calendar shows who is away and when, giving everyone a reliable view of upcoming absences. This is especially useful for remote and international teams working across different countries and public holiday calendars. CalaHQ replaces scattered processes with one clear system for managing leave requests, approvals, balances, public holidays and team availability. It helps businesses move away from manually updated spreadsheets while avoiding the cost and complexity of a large HR platform. The product is designed to be easy for both employees and managers. Setup is quick, the interface is clear, and teams can start using it without lengthy implementation, training or a dedicated HR department. CalaHQ is a good fit for small and medium-sized businesses that want a proper leave management system without adopting a full HR suite. It provides the structure teams need to manage time off consistently while remaining flexible enough to support different policies, countries and ways of working.
