  ### 3. Effortless and Reliable Scheduling for Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett E. | Chief Operation Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Simplicity and reliability. Makes the process of managing my internal team's schedules seamless.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Currently cal.com has a recurring meeting feature that we use regularly, and it can sometimes schedule meetings on weekends/holidays, etc.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly, we had a heck of a time connecting calendly to all of our apps, go high level, typeforms, etc. and it was getting really chaotic. Cal.com has made it much simpler to have everything connected, and also for me on the ops side, organizing meeting availability and roles for meetings has been great as well.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> Thanks for the review Brett! Happy that we could make connecting to apps easier for you!

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I like how easy it is to manage team scheduling. The round-robin and pooled availability features save a lot of time and keep our team organized.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Some of the advanced settings can feel a bit complex at first, and it takes time to learn all the features.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves the problem of manual scheduling chaos. Instead of emailing back and forth to find a meeting time, we share a booking link — and meetings get scheduled automatically. That saves time, reduces confusion, and keeps our team more organized.

  ### 7. Versatile Scheduling with Flexibility and Power

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I find Cal.com to be an exceptionally powerful and user-friendly scheduling platform. It has made managing appointments incredibly smooth and efficient. The flexibility is impressive—whether it’s creating different event types, setting buffers, managing team availability, or offering round-robin scheduling, everything feels thoughtfully designed. The clean and intuitive interface is not only easy for me to navigate but also for my clients. Automated reminders significantly reduce no-shows, and I appreciate its open-source nature and strong integration capabilities. The ability to embed booking pages, customize workflows, and even self-host adds another layer of control. Cal.com combines reliability, customization, and a modern user experience, genuinely improving my productivity. I really enjoy how it manages to be both highly customizable and easy to use, turning scheduling into a professional and stress-free experience. Its strong integration ecosystem effortlessly connects with video platforms, CRMs, calendars, and more, making the entire process seamless and efficient. Developer-friendly features like a well-documented API and active community support are a huge plus. Lastly, Cal.com’s emphasis on privacy and data control gives me a sense of trust that many other platforms lack.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

While Cal.com works extremely well overall, there are a few areas where it could improve to create an even smoother experience. The initial setup can feel a bit complex, especially when configuring advanced event types, routing rules, or workflows, which may require more time and familiarity with the platform. I also feel the visual customization options for booking pages are somewhat limited, and having more control over branding, layouts, and styling would make the interface feel more personalized. The mobile experience, though functional, could be more seamless, as managing settings or adjusting availability on a phone isn’t always as smooth as on desktop. Some of the more powerful features—like API usage, self-hosting, and advanced integrations—tend to feel developer-oriented, making them less accessible to non-technical users. Additionally, team and enterprise-level features can become more expensive as you scale, which may be challenging for growing companies.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cal.com to automate meeting bookings, eliminating back-and-forth scheduling and preventing double-bookings by syncing with my calendar. It customizes events, manages team availability, and sends automated reminders, making scheduling smooth and hassle-free.

  ### 8. Streamlines Team Scheduling with Powerful Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I love how Cal.com is flexible and powerful for team scheduling. The meeting routing system is particularly impressive as it automatically assigns bookings to the right team member based on availability, skills, or workload, which removes a lot of manual coordination. I also appreciate the level of customization it offers. You can tailor booking pages, workflows, and automations exactly to your team's needs. The admin controls and user management features make it easy to manage permissions, set up routing pools, and maintain a consistent structure across the team. Another highlight is the overall automation—everything from generating video meeting links to sending reminders and syncing with calendars happens instantly. Once it’s set up, the system saves a huge amount of time and makes scheduling feel effortless.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

While Cal.com is extremely powerful, there are a few areas where I think the experience could be even better. The first is the initial setup for teams. The platform offers a lot of advanced configuration options—routing rules, workflows, and permissions—which is great, but it can feel a bit overwhelming for new team members. More guided onboarding, step-by-step setup wizards, or interactive tutorials would make the learning curve smoother. Another improvement area is native integrations. Cal.com integrates with many tools, but expanding direct, built-in connections with more CRMs, communication apps, and project management platforms would reduce the reliance on Zapier or custom API setups. This would be especially helpful for teams that want everything running in one ecosystem without extra configuration.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com solves our scheduling challenges by managing team availability, automating meeting bookings, preventing double-booking, and streamlining workflows. It improves team coordination and client experience, saving time and making scheduling efficient by integrating calendars, generating video links and reminders, and centralizing tools.

  ### 9. Streamlines Appointment Scheduling with Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I'd be happy to provide a review of Cal.com!

Cal.com is highly regarded as a modern, flexible, and open-source alternative to established scheduling tools like Calendly. It has quickly become a favorite for both individual freelancers and large enterprises, largely due to its commitment to transparency and customization.

One of the biggest advantages is its generous free plan, which often exceeds what competitors offer. Users get unlimited bookings, event types, calendar connections, and workflows without paying, which is a major draw. For paid tiers, pricing is competitive, and the platform offers more features for team collaboration, including robust collective and round-robin booking options for automatically distributing leads or meetings among team members.

Flexibility is a key theme. Cal.com is built with an API-first approach, making it easy to integrate into existing applications and CRMs. Its open-source nature means that developers can self-host the solution, offering unmatched data privacy and control, which is particularly important for compliance-focused sectors like healthcare (it supports HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance).

While the initial setup is simple, some users note that accessing and utilizing the platform's more advanced customization features—like complex routing logic or certain integrations—might require a slight learning curve compared to simpler tools. However, the overall user experience is consistently praised for its clean, intuitive interface and quick, responsive customer support. The platform is continuously adding innovative features, such as AI scheduling assistants and a variety of video conferencing integrations. In short, Cal.com is an excellent choice for anyone prioritizing flexibility, extensive features, and data ownership in their scheduling infrastructure.

Cal Review: The Best Calendly Alternative? is relevant because it provides a direct comparison and feature overview of Cal.com against its main competitors.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

The menus fill and putter and take a moment to find; setup takes around ten minutes to fully complete, which I believe can be cut down. Analytics could be more detailed.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com organizes my appointments, saving me time by eliminating back-and-forth scheduling. It auto-syncs with my calendar apps, managing time zones and updates, so I don't worry about overlapping meetings.

  ### 10. Effortless One-Click Scheduling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

- Scheduling with others is much simpler now, requiring just a single click instead of typing out many words.

- Have insights dashboard for tracking bookings

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

When I attempted to create a new Cal.com account using my Google account, I discovered that I couldn't change the username. As a result, I ended up registering with my email address instead.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rather than having clients send emails, they can simply book a paid call with me, which helps avoid spam.

  ### 11. Effortless Scheduling and Smart Team Collaboration with Cal.com

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

What I appreciate most about Cal.com is how it streamlines scheduling, making the process both simple and intelligent. The Instant Meetings feature allows you to generate a meeting link immediately, eliminating the need for setup or endless back-and-forth communication. With domain-wide delegation, admins can efficiently oversee everyone’s scheduling while still respecting individual privacy. The member attributes feature enables you to include helpful information about each teammate, such as their skills or languages spoken. Attribute-based routing then leverages these details to automatically connect people with the most suitable team member. Altogether, Cal.com feels quick, adaptable, and truly designed to support effective teamwork.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

What I find less appealing about Cal.com isn’t anything major, but there are a few minor issues. The sheer number of features and customization options can make it feel a bit overwhelming at first. Setting up some of the more advanced configurations also requires a bit of technical knowledge to get everything working smoothly. Occasionally, the user interface seems to lag behind the platform’s impressive capabilities. Still, none of these points are deal-breakers for me—they’re just minor inconveniences in an otherwise excellent tool.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Here’s a concise and straightforward response:

Cal.com addresses the most frustrating aspects of scheduling, such as endless back-and-forth, confusion, and manual coordination. It provides me with instant booking links, intelligent automation, and routing that automatically directs people to the appropriate person.

For me, the main advantage is clear: I spend less time on logistics and more time on meaningful work. It streamlines the process, keeps everything organized, and makes scheduling truly effortless.

**Official Response from Susan Moeller:**

> I'm glad you like instant meetings! It's one of our favorites, too!

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

LOOKS GREAT, and easy to install & Customize.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

I run a small agency and have been recommending your services to my clients. However, I have been waiting for support for five days without a response.

This delay is quite disappointing, as the ability to provide timely support to potential clients is often a key indicator of success in converting new customers.

I hope this issue can be addressed promptly, as I value the potential of your platform and would like to continue recommending it with confidence.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy scheduling for clients

  ### 26. One of the Best Free Scheduling Tool with Minimalistic UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aiman H. | Business Development Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I really like that its completely free, and the design is really nice to look at. The flexibility and intuitiveness of the product also allows me to have a likeable degree of control over my events and schedule, and the fact that I can trigger webhooks with the system allows me to incorporate it with other applications. Whenever I'm facing issues, the customer support will always get back to me within the day itself, and the issues I face is usually resolved as well.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

I guess the only thing I dislike is the fact that some details in the form for my customers to book is locked to being required to be filled up, which in some cases I don't really need. E.g. Name, Email, and I think contact details are required as well, I know most cases we do need these details, but it would be nice if I can have the option to remove them

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly my clients whenever they want to schedule a meeting with me they would just text me about it and all I have to do is just give them a link and they have the freedom to choose which day/time they want. I've also helped some of my client to integrate cal.com with their own existing pipeline.

  ### 27. Not Ready for Prime Time

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 🔥 Robert M. | Co-Founder & CEO (NOT looking for software developers, thanks!), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Their booking UX is really well designed, and it is cheaper per-user than Calendly.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Their core problem is that they are so focused on their own UX that they are not paying attention to the UX that 99% of people that interact with them will use: the calendar invite. It's not customizable at all, is super-basic, and looks terrible on Microsoft 365. They want to be used by businesses, but the experience they give my customers is really bad, and has caused more problems than it solves.

Their focus on open source means they leave it to other people to solve their problems for them, and it shows. Customer support has not been responsive, and fixes my well-documented issues have been pushed out for 4 releases, without so much as a plan to fix them.

They also will not fix their booking UI snippet integration so it fills 100% of its container at all times, meaning my website is at the mercy of their Tailwind implementation.

This product has a long way to go before it can compete with Calendly or Chili Piper.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted a solution that was visually-attractive and user-friendly to help us book sales appointments on our website.

  ### 28. Free service that exceeds expectations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

This service takes the low bar set by the "free" or entry tiers of competing services and goes so far above, it's out of sight. Cal.com can be self-hosted (amazing), but even without doing so, their free, hosted plan does everything you would need for basic calendaring/availability-based scheduling. It doesn't feel like anything is limited. Customer support is friendly and helpful (even to free users). Easy to implement with several calendards to create combined availability.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Only room for improvement, in my opinion, is more clarity on custom fields that are end-user facing. The options are all there, and the default layout is sufficient for most, but I would be a little confused with making customizations to them, as the UI shows all options for various different user-facing screens. It's not obvious how to show certain fields on certain end-user pages.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is addressing my needs for combining my availability from multiple calendars, and providing a public page with a custom URL, with the ability to create several different types of appointments, all for free. Where other platforms would heavily restrict you on free/entry level plans.

  ### 29. Not for B2B Scheduling

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

The Cal.com team is responsive to the many issues on the platform.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

It doesn't connect to Salesforce and struggles to successfully scheule meetings with the correct person.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It creates more problems than it solves but scheduling inbound prospects when able.

  ### 30. The best scheduling tool around

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tejas K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Leaving a 5-star review here is a no-brainer: it integrates seamlessly with my existing calendars to prevent double bookings, gives me friendly, memorable links to share with people, all while streamlining my other workflows and with an incredible pricing model at a fraction of the costs of the competitors.

Combine this with their talented team led by their meme-posting CEO Peer and you’ve got a winner. I am eternally grateful for this tool and my decision to switch to it from Calendly.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Nothing at all. I've thought long and hard about this and I dislike nothing.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preventing double bookings, finding times to meet, streamlining business workflows

  ### 31. Cal.com Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aikeem J. | CO-Chief Executive Officer / Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

I like the idea of the scheudling and Open technique of the scheduleing methods being used for the platform is a great feature that it has for the opportunity that it presents for the user usage.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

I think more features compared to its competitors needs mor functionality and more attributes should be added to give the user more choices and better feel and look of the platform.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its helping to solve scheduling and meeting with schduling and helping to keep track of the calendars that it provides that the user uses and helps you keep track of when there is open to be booked and to know the flow of things within the scheduling. It ensures that a person is never overbooked and provides you the flexiability to keep things in a orderly condition. You can share your links and sets zoom meetings that are to be scheduled and set the location of the meeting as well in the country that the user provides. A timer and connection with others is also a usable feature of it.

  ### 32. I'm using the free version, Cal.com is the best scheduling tool I've ever used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohamed A. | Project Manager & WordPress Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

The free support. I've had an issue, and one of the team sent me a screen record in which he re-preduced the issue and show me what I missed and explained how it works. Which was amazing!

Not to mention the neat interface and everything just works together in a perfectly integrated piece of software.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

The fact that they have a plugin system (Apps) is amazing, yet there are, relatively, a small number of Apps. There are apps that will cover almost all the essential use cases though.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating my Google Calendar, MacOS Calendar, and Gmail. Everything is automated!

  ### 33. Easy to use, great features and good price point

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Onkgopotse K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

Upsides: Great workflow tools, attentione to detail, features such as "impersonate team member" to make updates on their behalf as admin are super helpful. Great customisation options. Customer service is epic

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Downsides: Not yet fully integrated on Zapier (ie. only triggers no actions) and with other payment platforms outside of Stripe and Paypal. Really looking forward to updates that include other payment gateways more commonly used elswehere in the world ie Paystack, Flutterwave.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling for a team of independent contractors and standardising workflows, user experience etc.

  ### 34. Has tons of great features and looks beautiful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

We moved from the incumbent to Cal.com 1.5y ago for our sales and marketing efforts because the design is much better, and we wanted prospects to have a better experience.

After moving, we realized there were a lot of useful hidden features, my favorite being the ability to create links that combine the availability of multiple people, by doing cal.com/name1+name2+name3. This is a lifesaver when you would otherwise have to maintain 30+ links to include all permutations of client success and engineering across all timezones.

Onbaording took less than 5 minutes, and support responded pretty much instantly, so we never looked back.

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Not much outside of my frustration about not being able to use cal.ai with everyone because it's not fully socially acceptable, which is a shame because having an AI schedule calls makes complete sense and saves a lot of time.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatically scheduling calls with prospects, teammates, partners and clients, and routing calls to the right person(s).

  ### 35. Ease of use & clean UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karan N. | Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

1. Scheduling of calls without manual intervention - google and apple calender sync
2. Multiple options of video call - zoom, facetime, gmeet

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

Too many steps/clicks to reach the final dashboard. Maybe all the steps in one form would be easier and faster

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Automatic scheduling of calls based on linked calendar
2. Automatically adding of relevant video platform links
3. Selecting time slots for each day enabling simplicity when dealing with cross timezone meetings
4. Integration of multiple calendars (helps with enabling no meetings on holidays - in case have a separate holiday calendar)

  ### 36. Hands-down the best scheduling tool available as of April 2024

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

- gorgeous interface
- full-featured (does everything Calendly can do, plus a lot more, even on the free version!)
- scheduling pages look sleek
- ongoing development

**What do you dislike about Cal.com?**

- round robin scheduling is a paid feature
- they don't have an actual iOS app yet (although their workaround is perfectly fine)
- honestly basically nothing else

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Candidate call, sales, etc. Efficient scheduling.

  ### 37. Amazing Scheduling Service

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathryn R. | Revenue Officer, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Cal.com?**

The inconvenience of using Cal.com to set up appointments with its AI powered system. Its disappointing that not everyone fully embraces this technology yet. Having an AI handle call scheduling would make sense.

I have encountered many problems with the platform so far. The interface uses some improvement. It lacks the ability to apply rules to calendar links not providing me with flexibility.

**What problems is Cal.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cal.com provides limited features, for scheduling appointments and meetings there are drawbacks that are frustrating. The interface while visually appealing lacks navigation. Confuses first time users.
