"Cake is easy to use and feels more like an active job-search community than just a resume tool."
What do you like best about Cake?

Cake makes resume writing much easier with its well-designed modules and plenty of real, successful resume examples. The platform also feels truly alive—experts and career advisors are active and genuinely helpful, which makes it more than just a traditional resume site.

Overall, Cake really feels like a social network for both job seekers and recruiters, and that’s very motivating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake?

Some resume editing features could be a bit more intuitive—for example, figuring out how to add sub-bullets under an item took me a moment, and occasionally the line spacing behaves a bit unexpectedly. Nothing major, but small UX tweaks would make it even smoother.

One area that could be improved is PDF export. It can be a bit tricky to control page breaks, and sometimes section headings or tables end up split across pages. It would be great to have a simple page-break feature—similar to Word—or the option to download the resume in a Word format for finer adjustments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the friendly and effective job search platforms in late 2025"
What do you like best about Cake?

I came to Cake with a fairly comfortable mindset, but also a bit worried because this is the end of 2025, it might be very difficult to find a new job. However, Cake helped me discover that I have a lot of untapped potential. Cake suggested directions and solutions suitable for my current situation. From there, I learned from experience, as well as had the opportunity to get closer to potential businesses that are suitable for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake?

Regarding Cake’s shortcomings, I really haven’t found any. However, if I had to point out something, I think it would be that Cake is not yet very popular in the Vietnamese market. This also somewhat limits the job opportunities for the majority, especially young people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"HR professional with experience in recruitment, HR operations, and cross-border collaboration."
What do you like best about Cake?

This resume builder stands out for its high level of customization and attractive visual design. It is particularly well-regarded within the tech and startup sectors, and its portfolio integration features are excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake?

There are noticeably fewer job postings here compared to larger platforms such as 104. Additionally, the platform offers limited transparency regarding who has viewed your resume and the level of employer activity. Overall, its market reach is smaller, which may affect the number of opportunities available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Platform with Potential Notification Improvements"
What do you like best about Cake?

I appreciate how user-friendly and easy to use Cake is. The layout of the resumes generated is visually pleasing and easy on the eyes, which significantly enhances my editing tasks. Communicating with others on the platform can allow for seamless networking and messaging, but you really need to utilize it and visit the site more to stay on top of things. Cake is charming, offers a friendly yet professional feel that caters to my needs. Overall, I give my appreciation for its functionality and catering to design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake?

I did encounter an issue with the notification system on Cake. The subject line of the emails I received didn't clearly indicate when I had a message. Instead, it only mentioned when someone viewed my profile. As a result, I missed important messages for months, which led to missed connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Resume Creation with Vast Template Choices"
What do you like best about Cake?

I appreciate Cake's wide variety of resume templates, which provide me with numerous styles and blocks to choose from, ensuring that I can always find a design that perfectly fits the role I'm applying for. The clean and simple interface of Cake makes the initial setup incredibly easy. It allows me to create clear and professional resumes without the usual hassles. Even though a paid plan is needed for fully useable resumes, the platform's offerings in terms of design flexibility and user-friendliness make it a tool I enjoy using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake?

I find the job matching experience in Cake lacking, as I mainly use it just to create a resume. Additionally, creating a fully usable resume seems challenging without upgrading to a paid plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I primarily use Cake for job searching and improving my CV. I love how user-friendly it is, making my job hunting process smoother and more efficient. The CV refine page is extremely helpful because it directly highlights where I should improve my resume. It includes keyword detection, which noticed I had omitted some important issues. I find the CV correction tools invaluable for refining my resume effectively. "A great and easy-to-use tool for job seekers with helpful AI features."
What do you like best about Cake?

The process of importing a profile from LinkedIn is fast and easy. The AI Resume Checker offers valuable recommendations for tailoring a resume to a specific job description, and the AI-drafted cover letter is a great starting point. The portfolio feature is also useful for showcasing projects. Additionally, the AI Certification Challenge, in partnership with AWS, was a fantastic experience, providing useful seminars and a supportive learning community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake?

The platform seems to be more focused on industry professionals and lacks a dedicated section for academics to list their publications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI-Powered Résumé Tool with Minor Glitches"
What do you like best about Cake?

I have been using Cake since August 2022 for job searching and have been thoroughly impressed with its capabilities. The tool allows me to effortlessly create multiple versions of visually appealing résumés, not just in PDF format but also as web links, which I can easily share across various job platforms. I am particularly fond of the new “AI Résumé Analysis” feature, which is a game-changer for me. By uploading a job description, the AI evaluates how well my résumé aligns with the position, offering valuable feedback on the level of detail and pointing out any grammar errors. This feature is incredibly helpful, especially in today’s job market where many companies utilize AI to screen résumés. It significantly boosts my efficiency and reduces anxiety during job applications by ensuring my résumé is likely to pass AI filters. Additionally, I find Cake to be user-friendly, considering the initial setup was quite straightforward. This overall positive experience with Cake makes me likely to recommend it with a confidence score of 9 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake?

I've been experiencing some frustrating formatting glitches with Cake's résumé builder. While editing, everything appears flawless, but the moment I upload or export my résumé, the layout often becomes messed up. This issue diminishes the overall quality of what would otherwise be a perfect résumé. The problems manifest in specific areas like font sizes, bullet lists, and indentation. It's particularly confusing because not all elements are affected simultaneously; only certain parts break, making the issue even harder to pinpoint and resolve. The text editor can have more features, you can refer to Canva's editing features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless resume making & Job searching & networking platform"
What do you like best about Cake?

I like how you can easily modify your resume through the platform interface, and it would recommend job opportunities that suit your background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cake?

Although it can be easily modified it can't do delicate adjustments. When moving the block of particular section in resume it can often disrupt the whole format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
