What I like best about Cake is its clean and intuitive interface. The minimalist design makes it easy to navigate and focus on what truly matters—discovering opportunities and showcasing professional profiles. It strikes a great balance between aesthetics and usability, creating a smooth and enjoyable user experience.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

At the moment, I don’t have any particular dislikes. My experience with Cake has been smooth, and the platform feels well-designed and user-friendly. I appreciate the overall usability and clarity it provides.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake simplifies the job search process by presenting opportunities in a clean, profile-driven format that highlights skills and experiences more effectively than traditional resumes. It reduces the friction of navigating cluttered job platforms and makes it easier to connect with relevant roles and companies.

For me, this means I can focus more on showcasing my strengths and quickly identifying opportunities that align with my background, saving time and improving the overall efficiency of my job search.

  ### 2. AI-Powered Resume Import That Saves Time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doris K. | front-end engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Cake?**

The AI-powered resume import feature is absolutely fantastic. It saves me so much time by automatically extracting my work experience and descriptions—you simply upload your resume file, and the system handles the rest. I highly recommend this feature to anyone looking to streamline their application process.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

As a new user, the job matching mechanism is still a bit unclear to me. I would love to see a more intuitive onboarding process or clearer guidance to help users master all the platform's features more quickly.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve noticed that the projects and portfolio items I update on Cake actually receive real views. This gives me a lot of confidence that there are active recruiters and genuine opportunities in the industry. It makes me even more excited about the prospect of finding an international career opportunity through the platform.

  ### 3. Simplifies Resume Creation with Powerful AI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Azam H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Cake?**

I use Cake for creating resumes, and it solves the problem of formatting and helps me write better content. Cake saves my time with its many resume and cover letter templates, and I can create ATS-friendly resumes that increase chances of getting noticed by recruiters. What I like most about Cake is how it combines simplicity with AI suggestions, making resume creation fast and effective. Furthermore, the initial setup of Cake is so easy.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

Some aspects could be improved that restrict advanced formatting options and some useful features that are behind paywalls. Cake uses drag and drop with preset structus, which limits precise spacing and section positioning. It can be improved by manual spacing controls. There are limited font library, which could be enhanced by adding more professional fonts and typography controls. Premium templates and many high quality designs are locked behind paid plans. Multiple resume creating feature may require premium.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cake for creating resumes. It solves formatting issues, provides templates for resumes and cover letters, and helps create ATS-friendly resumes. The simplicity combined with AI suggestions improves content quality and speeds up resume creation.

  ### 4. Comprehensive Job Platform with Direct Employer Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando W. | Inventory Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Cake?**

I love that Cake provides a lot of job opportunities that are more professional in nature compared to other platforms. The detailed job descriptions are great because they list all the necessary details an employer might need. I appreciate being able to reach out directly to hiring teams, making the process more personal and direct. The translation to English is also better than other services I’ve used, so it’s been particularly helpful since I can't read Chinese. The clear notifications about whether my application has been read or replied to are extremely useful. The initial setup was quite easy, and navigating the website is a breeze. Plus, the AI integration really helps me optimize my profile effectively.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

The translation is already good but it still needs improvement. Some pages can't be translated.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cake for job searching as it offers professional opportunities, detailed job descriptions, notification on application status, direct contact with hiring teams, and improved English translation.

  ### 5. Clean recruiting platform that makes hiring more organized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elena G. | People Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Cake?**

What I like most is the simplicity of the platform. It is very easy to post jobs manage candidates and track progress without feeling overwhelmed. The interface is clean so I can focus on hiring instead of figuring out the tool.
The candidate profiles are also well structured. I get a clear view of skills experience and portfolio which helps in shortlisting faster without going through too much back and forth.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

Some advanced filtering options are limited for very specific hiring needs.
I also feel integrations with other HR tools could be improved.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier managing candidates across emails and spreadsheets was messy. Now everything is in one place which makes the hiring process more organized. It helps in tracking applicants communicating with them and making quicker decisions. This saves time and improves overall hiring efficiency.

  ### 6. Cake is easy to use and feels more like an active job-search community than just a resume tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil P. | 襄理, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

Cake makes resume writing much easier with its well-designed modules and plenty of real, successful resume examples. The platform also feels truly alive—experts and career advisors are active and genuinely helpful, which makes it more than just a traditional resume site.

Overall, Cake really feels like a social network for both job seekers and recruiters, and that’s very motivating.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

Some resume editing features could be a bit more intuitive—for example, figuring out how to add sub-bullets under an item took me a moment, and occasionally the line spacing behaves a bit unexpectedly. Nothing major, but small UX tweaks would make it even smoother.

One area that could be improved is PDF export. It can be a bit tricky to control page breaks, and sometimes section headings or tables end up split across pages. It would be great to have a simple page-break feature—similar to Word—or the option to download the resume in a Word format for finer adjustments.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake makes resume writing much easier with its well-designed, modular structure and a rich collection of real, successful resume examples. The modular approach is especially helpful—resumes often start with a rough structure and evolve during the writing process, and being able to quickly rearrange or adjust sections makes editing fast, intuitive, and stress-free. The platform is easy to get started with, yet offers enough features to support frequent use and more complex resume needs.

What also stands out is the human side of the platform. Career advisors, recruiters, and headhunters on Cake are genuinely active and open to connecting, which creates a supportive and motivating atmosphere rather than a static, one-way tool. Overall, Cake feels less like a resume builder and more like a social network for job seekers and recruiters. As a user, I did find myself wondering how to best approach membership planning during a single job-search journey, and some additional expert guidance on this would be helpful.

  ### 7. Streamlined Resume Editing with Easy Mobile Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Cake?**

I find Cake easy to use for editing resumes, especially on my phone, which makes it very useful. I can easily choose a format that I like and make edits, log in from my phone, and quickly print my resume as a PDF. The interface is quite easy to navigate, and you don't need to download an app; just use a web page. This simplicity and ease of access are what I really appreciate about Cake.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

I think it would be helpful if Cake could notify me about how many pages I've done. Like, if I go over three pages, I need to reduce the lines or the number of words to fit within the range of just two pages.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake provides a simple format for resume editing, allowing me to choose the style I like. It's easy to edit, even from my phone, and offers clarity and simplicity in structuring my resume.

Centralized Job Sourcing: It bridges the gap between large corporations and startups, saving me time by consolidating top-tier opportunities in one place.

Precision Filtering: The advanced filters (especially for remote work) solve the pain of searching through irrelevant roles, allowing me to find the perfect fit for my lifestyle.

It's a simple yet incredibly effective way to navigate the app. Also, the display of Cake is brilliant and easy to use, which makes my initial experience quite pleasant.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

I would like to know about how the process goes after I applied the job, and would like to have reply from the company if I get rejection or not.

Cake AI assisted me to update my resume. It's easy to use and offers opportunities for remote jobs.

You can create your own resume page, similar to LinkedIn, but it feels like a lower-quality version.

  ### 14. One of the friendly and effective job search platforms in late 2025

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiet D. | Tour Operator Assistant/Tour Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

I came to Cake with a fairly comfortable mindset, but also a bit worried because this is the end of 2025, it might be very difficult to find a new job. However, Cake helped me discover that I have a lot of untapped potential. Cake suggested directions and solutions suitable for my current situation. From there, I learned from experience, as well as had the opportunity to get closer to potential businesses that are suitable for me.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

Regarding Cake’s shortcomings, I really haven’t found any. However, if I had to point out something, I think it would be that Cake is not yet very popular in the Vietnamese market. This also somewhat limits the job opportunities for the majority, especially young people.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a dynamic individual and I am confident that I am superior to my peers in terms of practical work experience. This makes me urge myself to find big and reputable companies to apply for. Cake is charming, offers a friendly yet professional feel that caters to my needs. Overall, I give my appreciation for its functionality and catering to design.

I have been using Cake since August 2022 for job searching and have been thoroughly impressed with its capabilities. The tool allows me to effortlessly create multiple versions of visually appealing résumés, not just in PDF format but also as web links, which I can easily share across various job platforms. I am particularly fond of the new “AI Résumé Analysis” feature, which is a game-changer for me. By uploading a job description, the AI evaluates how well my résumé aligns with the position, offering valuable feedback on the level of detail and pointing out any grammar errors. This feature is incredibly helpful, especially in today’s job market where many companies utilize AI to screen résumés. It significantly boosts my efficiency and reduces anxiety during job applications by ensuring my résumé is likely to pass AI filters. Additionally, I find Cake to be user-friendly, considering the initial setup was quite straightforward. This overall positive experience with Cake makes me likely to recommend it with a confidence score of 9 out of 10.

Cake is also very easy to use with everything clear, making it a better choice compared to other tools I have used.

Everything is already good, just hopefully Cake can be more aggressive in job searching for its users.

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

I like how you can easily modify your resume through the platform interface, and it would recommend job opportunities that suit your background.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

Although it can be easily modified it can't do delicate adjustments. When moving the block of particular section in resume it can often disrupt the whole format.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can adjust the resume quickly to suit for different companies. The combination of job networking platform and resume producing function really help me with acquiring ideal job opportunities.

  ### 30. Easy-to-Use Platform with Timely Reminders and a Clean Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chien-Chieh H. | 補教, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Cake?**

It's a platform that's very easy to use overall, with a user-friendly interface. It provides timely reminders, and the clean interface makes the otherwise tedious delivery process much more relaxing.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

The job posting update speed seems rather slow; it often just shows the same old ones after scrolling through the page.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because it also gathers many small companies, it helps me to learn about many smaller companies and has more opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

The headhunting function is inadequate, making it difficult to quickly match suitable job opportunities.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JYuan C. | エンジニア, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Cake?**

I like the aesthetic layout of Cake on templates, and applying various resume templates is very quick.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

When exporting to PDF, although there is an A4 separation line, it is still not very easy to adjust the template. It is also not very convenient to create resumes in different languages with one account. It's okay, but the template functionality explanations are relatively few and require some exploration.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cake to create resumes, which solves the problem of aesthetic layout and allows me to quickly apply various resume templates.

  ### 34. Neat Tool But....

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LH C. | Senior Program Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

There is an English interface which is extremely helpful for those who do not read or write Chinese. I find the job application process easy to use, as the input can be in English, unlike your competitor products which required it to be in Chinese.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

After applying for jobs, we at least expect a read tick, where this feature is available in your competitor products. I am not sure if it is me, but jobs that I had applied for more than 2 months, the application had yet to be read by the employer ! On the other job bank tools that I used, the employer usually read them within a few hours or at most two days later. My conclusion is it is a neat and user-friendly tool, but an unproductive tool. It is a waste of time applying for jobs on this tool if we are not even sure if the employer read any of the applications. And worse, even if it was read, there is no email notification to alert us !

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a guest user, I did not use any of the services. My only objective, one and only objective is to land a job, which till now has been extremely painful and frustrating, despite my rich experience in soft skills, particularly in communication, collaboration and cross-functional and cross-geographic coordination. So tell me, do you have a job for me? Are you able to solve it for me?

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Franz R. | Tax Expert, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

I was pleasantly surprised to discover a format that blends a sneak preview of projects with more conventional information. As a designer, portfolios are often seen as essential by many employers, so including a project preview within the résumé feels logical and serves as an effective introduction to a full portfolio review.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

When I was searching for companies, I found that both my location and field offered only a limited number of options.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It encouraged me to reflect more deeply on how I present myself to potential employers and to think critically about the impression I make.

  ### 38. Helpful AI tools for job seekers - Saved me time on resumes and cover letters

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 華展 . | Senior Frontend Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

As a job seeker, I love how Cake makes the application process easier for me. The AI cover letter generator is a huge time saver and gives me a good first draft to customize. The free resume builder also helps me create a clean, one-page resume quickly. Recently, I’ve also started using the AI resume check feature to spot areas I can improve before submitting.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

Sometimes the AI-generated cover letters sound too generic, and I need to adjust the tone to make it feel more personal. I also wish the resume builder had more design template options.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Cake, writing cover letters and editing my resume took me a lot of time and effort. Now, with the AI tools, I can complete applications much faster and with less stress. It helps me stay more focused on preparing for interviews instead.

The app is really user-friendly — it’s easy to browse job listings, and the matching suggestions are surprisingly accurate. I also like that I can apply directly and track my application progress in one place.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

Sometimes notifications are delayed, and a few job listings seem outdated. It’d be great if the update frequency could be improved.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me time by collecting relevant job openings in one place. I don’t have to switch between multiple platforms, and I can easily filter jobs that fit my experience and salary range.

  ### 40. Efficient Resume Builder with Startups Focus

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

I really appreciate Cake's resume builder, which saves me time. The platform also offers a good selection of startup positions. The initial setup of Cake was quite easy, and I recently tried their AI tool, which was fun, although it doesn't support multi-language use.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

I don't like that it becomes a combination of English and Chinese when I try to write my profile in English. It would be better if there was a language setting.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake provides good resume designs and offers many startup job positions. I like the resume builder as it saves my time.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Cake?**

The AI Resume Checker is simple and gives clear suggestions. The CV templates look modern and professional, which saves me some time.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

The job categories and filters feel limited, so sometimes it’s hard to find more specific roles. It would be more useful if there were more detailed job classifications and a wider range of listings.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake helps me quickly identify weaknesses in my CV and suggests improvements. This saves time and makes my job applications look more professional without needing to hire a career coach.

  ### 45. A valuable tool for career preparation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phuong H. | College lecturer, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

As a college lecturer helping students prepare for the job market, I’ve tried a bunch of tools to teach them how to write resumes, prepare for interviews, and build their confidence. Out of everything I’ve used, Cake has been one of the easiest to introduce in the classroom. Most of my students are creating a resume for the first time, and Cake makes the process feel so much comfortable and less stressful. They also love the drag and drop features--very useful in inserting elements like images and videos, save them so much time to instead focus on the content. CakeResume also has a collection of career tips and guides that I trust and often encourage my students to use as references. Whether it’s advice on writing cover letters, prepping for interviews, or just figuring out what kind of jobs to explore, my students find it practical and relatable. I just figured that they released new mobile app--CakeMeet--which works similarly to "dating app" but for networking. I love it! And will introduce to my students soon.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

Some of the cooler features, like advanced templates and resume analytics, are only available on the paid plan. That’s understandable, but it would be great if there were more approachable pricing options for students.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a few of my students try Cake AI to help them improve their resumes, and the results were impressive. The tool gave them clear, actionable feedback they could understand on their own, which made it easier for them to revise and strengthen their CVs without relying entirely on one-on-one sessions. It’s a great way for students to self-assess, track their progress, and build confidence in presenting themselves professionally. Another feature they found especially helpful was the AI-powered job suggestions, which recommend roles that match their skills, experience, and interests—making the job search faster and more focused.

  ### 46. Efficient, User-Friendly Platform for Job Seekers and Professionals

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ALAN L. | Product/Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

I like how clean and well-designed the site is — the UI/UX is one of the best I’ve seen in job platforms. The online resume builder is super easy to use, even if you’re not tech-savvy. There are tons of templates and components you can mix and match to create something that fits your style and background. Also, the quality of employers on the platform seems higher-end, which makes it feel like a serious place to find solid opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

The biggest downside is that responses from employers can be low. The majority of the applications have heard nothing back. It would be great if the platform added an incentive or follow-up system to encourage hiring teams to respond, even if it’s just a quick “no.” That would improve the experience and keep job seekers motivated.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake is solving the problem of outdated, one-size-fits-all resumes and the overwhelming process of job searching. Traditional resume tools can feel rigid and bland, but Cake makes it easy to build something modern, clean, and personalized — all online, with no design skills needed. That helps me stand out to employers and feel more confident when applying. It also connects me with quality job listings, especially in the tech and creative industries, which saves me a lot of time compared to scrolling through generic job boards.

  ### 47. Effortless Career Tracking with Fantastic Tagging Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 家銓 . | 前端工程師, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I can record my companies and jobs from when I first entered the workforce until now, and it's very easy to edit. I can also use tags to record the technologies I know, which is fantastic for me.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

When I log in to other companies or other people's resumes, it will be detected.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can research the skills companies require based on my desired salary, allowing me to focus on improving myself and more easily identify my weaknesses.

  ### 48. User friendly with great AI features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Hardware | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

Setup is easy, just a few clicks to create an account and start building, without any frustrating tutorials or hidden fees eating up your time. But the real standout is the in-depth CV review feature: it scans your resume against specific job descriptions, highlighting exact matches, gaps, and keyword tweaks to boost ATS compatibility.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

One minor frustration so far has been the limited number of job matches that align perfectly with my skills and preferences. That said, I don't see this as a flaw in Cake itself—it's more a reflection of the current job market, where opportunities can be sparse in certain niches.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It offers a deep-dive CV analyser that compares your profile against specific roles, it spots keyword gaps, suggests precise edits, and even scores your match level—turning a tedious chore into a quick, data-driven win. For me, this has been a huge time-saver.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandra S. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Cake?**

Intuitive software. easy to get started and a lot of ways to adjust and tweak manually. That is a big plus. Also, like the ATS-scanner that helps you see how ATS-optimized the CV is. More affordable and easier to use than many other similar CV-builders that I have tried.

**What do you dislike about Cake?**

The ATS-scanner gives you different answers. You change something, and then when you do a new scan, new things come up that where marked as "great" the first time.

**What problems is Cake solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me create ATS-optimized CV-s for my job search.
