## About Brew TV
Brew TV is a filmmaker-first film distribution platform that helps independent filmmakers, producers, and rights holders release, monetize, and market films with more control. Unlike traditional VOD platforms that often offer weak revenue share, limited analytics, and slow onboarding, Brew TV is built to serve creators more transparently. Films can go live in as little as 48 hours, creators keep 80% of revenue by default, and earnings can go up to 97% when they bring their own audience. The platform combines distribution, monetization, audience analytics, and content protection in one place. Filmmakers get access to real-time performance tracking, clearer audience insights, and DRM-based security to help protect their content. Brew TV also supports marketing and distribution efforts, helping films reach audiences instead of simply sitting in a catalog. Brew TV was shaped by real filmmaker pain points. Its founder, Ankur, is also an independent director who made the Indian indie film Ghich Pich and experienced firsthand the common challenges of film distribution: slow platform processes, limited visibility, poor access to audience data, and weak economics. Brew TV was built to solve those issues with a faster, more transparent, and more creator-friendly model. Today, Brew TV is designed for independent filmmakers, producers, rights holders, boutique distributors, and production companies looking for a better way to distribute and monetize films.

## Brew TV Reviews
  ### 1. I went from no distribution to earning globally in two days

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Brew TV?**

Honestly, the onboarding. I had never distributed a film before, and I was terrified of the technical side. DRM, encoding, payment gateways, none of it made sense to me. Brew TV's team walked me through uploading my debut short, helped with metadata, and the film was live in under 48 hours. The 80/20 revenue split was the clincher, though. I spoke to people using Filmhub and Vimeo OTT, and the economics just didn't work for a first timer like me. Brew TV treats new filmmakers the same as established ones, which is rare.

**What do you dislike about Brew TV?**

A built-in trailer cutter or preview generator would be amazing for first-timers who don't have an editor on call. Right now, I have to make my own trailer before uploading.

**What problems is Brew TV solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had no distribution deal, no festival circuit connections and no idea how to reach an audience outside my college friends. Brew TV solved the entire distribution problem in one go. I set TVOD pricing, made a coupon for my Instagram and started earning from viewers in India, the US and even a few in Europe within two days of going live. The real-time analytics let me see exactly where viewers were coming from, which helped me double down on the channels that worked. As a first-time filmmaker, having global payments handled and a 97% take rate when my own followers watched felt unreal.

  ### 2. Documentary Production House, US "Feels like a distribution partner, not just another software tool"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohd H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Brew TV?**

The team genuinley understands film marketing because they are filmmakers themselves. On platforms like Uscreen or Filmhub you kind of upload and figure it out yourself. Brew TV's team helped us think through our release stratgy and connected us with influencer campaigns. Felt like a film distribution partner not a software tool.

**What do you dislike about Brew TV?**

More templates for filmmaker landing pages would be nice. Current setup works but more customisation would help.

**What problems is Brew TV solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We distribute documentaries internationally and payments used to be a nightmare. Different gateways for India vs US, currency conversion issues. Brew TV handles global payments out of the box. Our audience in Mumbai and Chicago both pay seamlessly. Saved us weeks compared to what we were doing before.
