## About Brainner
Brainner is an AI-powered resume screening and applicant fraud protection platform designed to help recruiting and talent acquisition teams review applicants faster, reduce manual screening time, and identify the most relevant and trustworthy candidates with greater consistency. Built for modern hiring teams, Brainner analyzes resumes against recruiter-defined job requirements and provides clear, explainable candidate evaluations. Instead of relying on generic keyword matching, Brainner allows teams to define the specific required and preferred criteria for each role, then automatically evaluates how well each candidate matches those criteria. This helps recruiters prioritize qualified applicants, focus their time on high-value conversations, and maintain control over the hiring decision. Brainner is especially useful for teams handling high applicant volumes, remote roles, technical positions, staffing processes, or recurring hiring needs. The platform helps streamline candidate screening by surfacing fit, gaps, strengths, and relevant experience in a structured way. Recruiters can customize candidate views, filter results, shortlist applicants, and collaborate with hiring managers while keeping the process transparent and human-led. Brainner also includes fraud protection capabilities through its Identity Check feature, helping teams detect potential fake applicants, suspicious candidate profiles, and inconsistencies earlier in the recruitment process. Identity Check can flag risk signals related to candidate authenticity, such as suspicious profile patterns, resume inconsistencies, recently created emails, limited public profile history, or other indicators that may require recruiter review. This is particularly valuable for companies hiring remotely or managing large volumes of inbound applicants, where fake candidates, misrepresented profiles, and applicant fraud have become growing concerns. The platform integrates with a wide range of Applicant Tracking Systems, including Lever, Greenhouse, JazzHR, Jobvite, BambooHR, Zoho Recruit, Workday, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, Recruitee, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS, and others, allowing teams to incorporate AI resume screening, candidate evaluation, applicant prioritization, and applicant fraud detection into their existing recruiting workflows. Brainner is built with explainability, recruiter control, and responsible AI principles in mind. The platform does not make final hiring decisions. Instead, it supports recruiters with structured insights so they can make faster and more informed decisions. Brainner’s approach is criteria-driven, transparent, and designed to keep humans in control throughout the recruiting process. For companies looking to improve hiring efficiency, reduce time spent manually reviewing resumes, protect their hiring process from fake applicants, and bring AI into the recruiting workflow without replacing recruiter judgment, Brainner provides a practical and scalable solution for AI resume screening, candidate evaluation, recruitment automation, and applicant fraud protection.

## Brainner Reviews
  ### 1. Brainner Streamlines High-Volume Hiring with Smart, Flexible AI Screening

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jehann L. | Talent Acquisition Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Brainner?**

What I like best about Brainner is how much it streamlines and accelerates our recruitment workflow without completely removing the human element from hiring. As a Talent Acquisition Manager handling high-volume and niche hiring for a fully remote global company, the platform has significantly reduced the time we spend on manual screening while still helping us maintain quality standards.

One of the most valuable features for us is the AI-assisted candidate evaluation and ranking system. We use Brainner to assess resumes, portfolio alignment, screening question responses, and overall job fit based on customized criteria per role. This has been especially helpful for hard-to-fill positions such as UI/UX Designers, Motion Designers, Developers, and Partner Growth Managers, where traditional keyword screening alone is not enough. The ability to tailor must-haves, bonus qualifications, and weighted scoring gives us much better filtering accuracy.

From a workflow perspective, Brainner has improved our recruiter efficiency significantly. Instead of manually reviewing every application from scratch, our team can prioritize stronger candidates faster and spend more time on deeper evaluations and candidate engagement. It also helps create more consistency across recruiters when evaluating applicants, especially in remote and asynchronous hiring environments.

The UI/UX is straightforward and relatively easy to navigate, which made onboarding smooth for the team. The learning curve was minimal compared to other recruitment AI tools we evaluated. We also appreciate that the platform allows flexibility in how we structure evaluations instead of forcing a rigid process.

Another strong point is the AI intelligence itself. Unlike some screening tools that feel overly keyword-dependent, Brainner does a better job understanding contextual alignment and transferable experience. It has helped us uncover candidates we may have otherwise overlooked manually while still filtering out clearly mismatched applicants efficiently.

In terms of ROI, the platform has been very valuable for reducing time-to-screen and improving overall hiring throughput. It’s particularly beneficial for teams handling multiple open roles simultaneously or operating with lean recruiting teams.

Overall, Brainner has become a meaningful support tool within our hiring process by balancing automation, structure, and recruiter judgment in a practical way.

**What do you dislike about Brainner?**

One area where Brainner could improve is the depth of its AI evaluation explanations. While the scoring and ranking are helpful, the reasoning can sometimes feel too general for nuanced roles such as UI/UX, creative, or sales positions, where human judgment is still essential for assessing communication, strategy, and creativity.

The platform also performs best when the role setup is carefully configured. If the criteria are too broad or too strict, strong candidates may occasionally be underrated or over-filtered. More AI guidance during setup would help improve accuracy.

From a workflow perspective, additional dashboard customization, bulk actions, and deeper filtering options would make managing high-volume recruitment even more efficient. Stronger ATS integrations would also help reduce manual administrative work.

That said, Brainner still provides strong overall value by significantly improving screening speed, consistency, and recruiter efficiency across multiple hiring pipelines.

**What problems is Brainner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Brainner, our recruitment team spent a significant amount of time manually screening large volumes of applications, especially for niche remote roles where resume quality alone was not enough to determine fit. This often created bottlenecks, inconsistent evaluations across recruiters, and slower turnaround times in moving qualified candidates forward.

Brainner helped solve this by automating the initial screening and candidate ranking process using customizable AI-driven evaluation criteria. We can now assess resumes, portfolio alignment, screening responses, and overall role fit much faster and with better consistency across the team.

The biggest benefit has been efficiency and scalability. Instead of reviewing every application from scratch, recruiters can focus their time on high-potential candidates and deeper evaluations. This has significantly improved our screening speed, reduced manual workload, and helped us manage multiple hiring pipelines more effectively without sacrificing quality.

It has also improved standardization in our hiring process by creating more structured and objective evaluations, while still allowing recruiters to apply human judgment where needed for nuanced roles.

  ### 2. Efficient Resume Ranking, Needs Enhanced Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya K. | Human Resources Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Brainner?**

I like that Brainner shows me a heat map style, indicating the criteria the candidate fulfills, and it gives me a score. I'm also able to really customize and dive into the specifics of what I'm looking for. Brainner makes it much easier to surface the 20 to 50 candidates that I need to pay the most attention to out of over a thousand applicants. This easier way of surfacing resumes that are a better fit than others is really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Brainner?**

As good as the tool is, there's quite a bit. First thing is that the criteria does not have reasoning capability. It's strictly seems like it's based on keywords. The second thing is I'm not able to use a not function. Like, if I want someone has, let's say, Java, not JavaScript, that doesn't work as well. Any kind of not function, like, if I want people not from defense companies or something, and I just wanna focus on tech companies. That criteria doesn't work very well at all. And so I end up getting out of a thousand applicants, maybe a 100 that have a score of 100. But that also tends to be because of my criteria where I don't wanna get too specific to filter out good candidates.

**What problems is Brainner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brainner helps me rank resumes based on criteria and surface better-fit candidates among thousands of applicants, making the process much easier.

  ### 3. Streamlined Applicant Screening —Fast, Customizable, and Affordable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Brainner?**

Brainner has helped us streamline and speed up our application review process tremendously. It helps us find that top 10% of highly qualified candidates so we aren't wasting our time reviewing candidates that don't meet the criteria we need. Additionally, in a world where fake candidates are becoming more and more prevalent, Brainner helps us weed those out so we can focus on the candidates that really deserve our attention.

Brainner is also very easy to use and setup, super customizable, and affordable!

**What do you dislike about Brainner?**

It's hard to think of anything we dislike about Brainner. We've provided a few ideas to the founding team about even deeper customizations, and they are building those in (i.e. being able to filter on specific identity verification criteria). The founding team are the actual people you get to work with, which is rare and so amazing.

**What problems is Brainner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled so much with spending hours and hours reviewing resumes that weren't qualified, and also had a hard time identifying the top group of the thousands of applicants. Brainner has helped the best candidates rise to the top. Brainner has saved us SO much time, money, resources, etc.

  ### 4. Efficient Resume Screening and Robust Fraud Detection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thayná R. | Support Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Brainner?**

I really appreciate how Brainner solves the bottleneck of reviewing thousands of resumes manually, ranking candidates quickly based on our criteria. This allows us to focus on the strongest profiles. I also value the identity verification and fraud detection features. They're great at flagging suspicious patterns early, saving us from costly mistakes and giving us an extra layer of confidence before submitting candidates to our clients. I like that everything works well, especially the new features, which indicate they're always trying to improve. The initial setup was super easy, making it convenient to get started.

**What do you dislike about Brainner?**

Nothing so far.

**What problems is Brainner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brainner solves the manual bottleneck in resume screening, letting us focus on top candidates. It flags fraudulent applications early, saving us from costly errors and gives us confidence in identity verification and fraud checks with high volumes and fraudulent attempts.

  ### 5. Easy to Use, Great Value, and Seamless Lever Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaime F. | Global Head of Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Brainner?**

It integrates really well with Lever, and the platform is easy to use. It also provides solid insights, and the value it delivers feels well worth the fees. On top of that, the owners are genuinely helpful and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Brainner?**

The only downside is that it seems a bit too optimistic about candidates’ scores. Still, I can accept that as a reasonable, positive bias.

**What problems is Brainner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fasten elevates CV reviews to a level of quality that, not long ago, would have been difficult to imagine.

  ### 6. Wonderful UX and Easy Access to Best-Aligned Candidates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bradley H. | Talent Acquisition Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Brainner?**

The ease of use, the UX is wonderful, and you can easily see the best-aligned candidates for the position I am hiring.

**What do you dislike about Brainner?**

The ability to go into the ATS from a candidate's profile.

**What problems is Brainner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of review in a less UX friendly ATS (Greenhouse)

  ### 7. Cuts CV Screening Time Considerably

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Brainner?**

Cuts down CV screening time considerably

**What do you dislike about Brainner?**

I did not come across anything significant that I dislike

**What problems is Brainner solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped cut down our CV screening time considerably, especially for new roles where we’ve seen an influx of CVs. It’s also useful being able to quickly score and filter out CVs where candidates have the wrong salary expectations or are in the wrong locations.
