I connected it to our GitHub and Slack in one sitting, no back and forth with support needed. The interface is simple enough that I just describe what I want tested in plain English and it builds the test case. The self healing part has genuinely saved me hours. Before, every small UI change meant going back and fixing broken tests. Now it just adapts and keeps running. Test runs are fast since everything executes in parallel, so I'm not sitting around waiting for results before a release. Support has been quick every time I've reached out, usually same day. And for what we're paying, the coverage we get without hiring another QA person makes it an easy call. **What do you dislike about BotGauge?** The only thing I'd mention is the notification settings could use a bit more granularity. Right now I get alerted for every test run, and I'd prefer to only get pinged when something actually fails. Not a big deal, I just mute it during heavy testing days and check the report later. **What problems is BotGauge solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before we started using BotGauge, regression testing ahead of every release took up a huge chunk of our sprint. We were manually clicking through the same flows over and over, and issues still slipped through because nobody wants to hunt down every edge case by hand at 6pm right before a release. Now, most of that work is handled for us. We provide our key flows, and it keeps testing them without us having to rebuild scripts every time something in the UI changes. That alone has significantly reduced the time we used to spend on regression, and we’re catching bugs before they reach production instead of only hearing about them from users. The features I most resonate with: - Super easy test creation. I see an opportunity for product folks to become the main power users of this platform. - Robust API integration to make requests and assert network responses to your APIs or externally. - Easy CI integration - Integrations with device farms like Browserstack/saucelabs for cross-browser needs - Best debugging features I've seen across any test platform I've used. Precise highlights on where the tests failed - completely solving for flaky test challenges **What do you dislike about BotGauge?** Only one slight caveat - the scripting is proprietary and not exportable to top frameworks, eg. Cypress, Playwright. While I think the ease of creating and maintain tests make this less of a concern, I can see it be an initial point of friction. Be it AI test case generation by taking PRDs and Figma files as input. Then making the AI LC-NC test script ready mentioning even the functions that we should consider having to have modular and clean tests. This is a game changer. I have come across a few more tools that use AI but only up to the level of writing test cases for a feature, and not automating/scripting at all. Moreover, the split screen live interaction with the remote machine and stepwise validation of AI steps is also commendable. Becomes very easy to make little tweaks and fill in the blanks left in AI generated steps. Also, their in-house algorithm for element detection can do wonders in saving the maintenance time. Knowing the fact that they don't rely solely on CSS selectors, DOM elements, XPath, etc. and detect the correct element every time gives you peace of mind. **What do you dislike about BotGauge?** In our case, our product is quite resource demanding, we required GPU support in the VM for it to run smoothly. BotGauge team tried their best to help us with better remote machines but it didn't work well. We have faced similar issues with other cloud based testing platforms as well, hence, we were looking for an on-prem deployment on our local machines, which is not available yet. Furthermore, there is no trial option. They would prepare an in-house POC first, then demo and later we can experience the solution, if it works. An open trial could have been better. **What problems is BotGauge solving and how is that benefiting you?** BotGauge is making the life of SDETs easier, helping in AI test case and automated test steps generation, reducing a lot of manual testing effort. Furthermore, anyone can write low code - no code automation steps with BotGauge, no need to be an SDET or Automation Engineer, even manual testers, designers and PM teammates can feed the PRD, Figma design and generate automation tests at ease. Having self healing, it is capable of drastically reducing the maintenance too. ### 10.
