## Boords Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI

Is Boords free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, Boords does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

How much does Boords cost in 2026?

According to G2 data, Boords pricing in 2026 starts at $19.00 and can reach $99.00 depending on the selected plan. Pricing may vary based on billing terms or usage, so users should review the Boords's official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is Boords pricing best suited for?

Boords's pricing is best suited for small animation studios, motion graphics agencies, and video production teams running frequent collaborative pre-production workflows. G2 reviewers are overwhelmingly small businesses across animation, marketing, film, and education — most extracting peak value from the Standard or Workflow tiers where versioning, guest commenting, and animatics are available. The Workflow tier fits busy creative teams needing project-based access and unlimited collaborators. The Lite tier suits individual freelancers with low storyboard volume, though G2 users in that segment flag the $19.00/month cost as borderline for occasional use. Mid-market HR and compliance teams also appear in Boords's G2 review base.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Boords?

Boords offers no free tier. The entry point is the Lite plan at $19.00/month, capped at one user and five storyboards with 50 AI image credits — suited for evaluation or minimal freelance use. Boords's Standard tier ($49.00/month) removes the storyboard cap, adds versioning, guest commenting, animatics, and sharing links, supporting up to three teammates. Boords's Workflow tier ($99.00/month) unlocks unlimited teammates, unlimited AI image credits, customizable templates, project-based access controls, two-factor authentication, and a custom subdomain. G2 reviewers highlight versioning, frame-level commenting, and animatics as the features most driving upgrades beyond Lite.

Is Boords considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers rate Boords 4.5–5.0/5 across animation, marketing, and film industries, signaling strong satisfaction relative to cost. Multiple G2 users cite significant time savings in pre-production, reduced revision cycles, and streamlined client approvals as concrete ROI drivers — one motion graphics studio logged 590 storyboards over five years. However, G2 reviews of Boords consistently flag pricing as a friction point for solo creators and occasional users, with freelancers noting the cost feels high for light usage. For teams running frequent storyboard-heavy workflows, Boords's pricing delivers clear value; for low-volume independents, the return is less certain.

"Boords Streamlines Storyboarding with an Intuitive, All-in-One Workspace"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Boords?

Boords has made storyboarding significantly faster and more organized by bringing scripts, scenes, feedback, and revisions into a single workspace. Before adopting it, planning visual projects meant juggling multiple documents, images, and feedback threads, which slowed collaboration and introduced unnecessary revisions. The intuitive interface makes it easy for both creative and non-technical team members to contribute, while smooth performance keeps large storyboards responsive. Flexible export options fit naturally into existing production workflows, reducing manual effort and improving communication with stakeholders. The time saved during pre-production has delivered a strong return on investment, and the short learning curve allows new team members to become productive quickly. AI-assisted capabilities also help accelerate brainstorming and storyboard creation, making the creative process more efficient without limiting creative control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Boords?

While Boords is easy to use, some advanced collaboration and project management capabilities are still limited compared to larger creative platforms. Large storyboard projects can occasionally become harder to organize as the number of scenes grows, and I'd like to see more integrations with production and editing tools. Pricing may also feel high for freelancers or small teams, especially if they only need the platform for occasional projects. Expanding AI-assisted planning features and offering more customization options for workflows would make the platform even more valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Boords solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Boords, storyboard planning was spread across presentation slides, image folders, and lengthy feedback threads, making revisions difficult to track and slowing project approvals. Boords centralized the entire pre-production process into a single collaborative workspace where scripts, scenes, comments, and revisions are managed together. This has reduced review cycles, improved communication between stakeholders and creative teams, and shortened the time required to move from concept to production. The streamlined workflow has eliminated unnecessary back-and-forth, increased team productivity, and made project planning more predictable and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Storytelling with ease"

4/5

What do you like best about Boords?

I’ve been using Boords.ai to storyboard my short film based on my solo travel experience and honestly, it’s been a game changer.

The UI is clean, intuitive, and perfect for beginners who are new to script visualization. I just upload my screenplay, add scenes, and the flow feels cinematic straight away.

The best part? It fits perfectly into my AI-based workflow. Would definitely recommend Boords to independent filmmakers, YouTubers, and solo creators in India who want to turn their story ideas into visual storyboards fast.

Excited to see more India-based features or community examples soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Boords?

While Boords drastically sped up my storyboard process, as a solo creator I found the cost a bit high for my usage. Also, when I tried pushing for very detailed scenes (cliff-jump, wave crash in Varkala style), I wished for more illustration control. And since I like working sometimes from beach cafés with spotty wifi, the web-only access was a minor snag Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Boords solving and how is that benefiting you?

Traditionally storyboarding meant juggling scripts, PPTs/PDFs/slides, images, then emailing feedback. Boords claims to unify script → storyboard → review in one tool.

boords.com. You get real-time commenting, version tracking, sharing links instead of sending files back and forth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
