  ### 1. Bold Loyalty App has been down for five days now!  Support is non-existent

**What do you like best about Bold Commerce?**

I am the CTO of  Trainz.com, a retail e-commerce company with an annual revenue of approximately $18 million, and an Enterprise level user of the Bold Loyalty Points and Rewards App.  We have approximately 65,000 users in our Bold Loyalty program.  It has it's flaws, but we have been able to grow a significant loyalty program, and using their Recurring Membership program have over 1000 Private Car members who pay for a premium membership.  It's a key part of our business.

**What do you dislike about Bold Commerce?**

The Bold Loyalty app has been down for approximately five days now, since Thursday October 12th.  Most widgets on the Administrative console are inoperative and show only spinning "loading" indicators.  We believe we need to upgrade to the next tier, but are unable to do so.  As a result, our end-users cannot redeem their points, which is causing us to hemorrhage loyalty members and premium memberships.  Our business is being materially damaged by this outage.

Our I.T. staff member contacted Shop Circle support about this outage on Friday October 13th, and has followed up more than ten times since then, but there has been no discernable progress on fixing the outage.  The typical response he has received is "We are working on it" and "We will refer this to the development team."  Attempts to escalate to a manager have been rebuffed or ignored.  It is now the evening of October 17th, five days since this outage began. 

We have made our business dependent on the Bold Loyalty Points and Rewards  and this is turning out to be a terrible mistake.

Providing a points-based Loyalty program and administrating our recurring-billing premium membership program.

**What do you like best about Bold Commerce?**

I love how easy it is to use bold, and they have great customer service. Their subscription was easy to integrate into our store. We use it on a daily basis and really on it.

**What do you dislike about Bold Commerce?**

I don't like the new payment update feature that leaves it in the customer's hands.

It solves the issue of customers having a monthly standing order that we don't have to bother with.

Not much to be honest. It looks ok but the integration is not pretty UI.

Don't care about your site is not working.They just collect money and don't care. It's a scam!

The transaction is not working and they claim to have a fix but it didn't work. You don't hear from them about updates any more. They just collect money and don't care.

**What do you like best about Bold Commerce?**

Bold Commerce, specifically Bold subscriptions is great for retaining customers, especially in the healthy industry, allowing them to receive their supplements exactly once the other finishes.

**What do you dislike about Bold Commerce?**

There is still room for improvement, I don't dislike anything in particular, does everything I need it to do so no specific complaints, maybe making the process of installing even more simple might be good.

**What problems is Bold Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For supplements, it's important for someone that enjoys that particular supplement to receive it on time every month or every two months so they never run out. Bold makes it easier for the customer by removing the barrier of having to order every time on time to receive it at the right time.

Integration with our Shopify website is simple and updating the store locations is easy and instant (as it should be)

Since we operate two websites (one US and one Canadian) we have to have two separate directories of stores

Allows us to easily post store locations and export data as well as customize the fields to post the relevant information we want to communicate

**Describe the project or task Bold Commerce helped with:**

I contacted this company to create an e-commerce skincare company. they were missing deadlines about 20 percent of the time but finished the product under the Enterprise account. I decided to continue working with them to get the Landing page and marketing done ( due to me having two other businesses I run) and upgraded to the ADV. within two weeks they had no idea what account was mine and had done no work. when I contacted them asking what was going on they started putting completion dates on the Monday.com account they manage projects. over the coming weeks, they completely forgot about my project and were missing all of their own deadlines. i had to constantly remind them and unfortunately, they almost completely stopped responding to my messages asking for updates and verification on things being done. Then when I finally said enough was enough and requested a refund, they told me they were processing it and I would receive an email( which i never received) and completely blocked my account. 

They do not allow you to call them through the process to get clarification and force the whole interactions to be done through text.  I will be reporting Bold business group 2021 to the better business bureau but I'm pretty sure they are not an established and legal business.

the most helpful part was the use of Monday.com/ I think that is a good company

**What do you dislike about Bold Commerce?**

everything that had to do with the actual business. They constantly missed deadlines, very unresponsive, no contract, and won't allow you to talk to anyone on the phone unless you are in the "mentor phase" which doesn't help if you have questions about what's happening in the creation of the account since that phase doesn't happen for months. so essentially you cant talk to anyone over the phone for months while they "make" the account

The product is simple to use, and the team is really helpful! I've used the support, and jordan and Julian help me to resolve an issue that was not even due to bold options!!

None, always happy to pay for good services!

made my life easier while adding options to the product page and upsell made me win a lot of money every week.

i used Bold Subscriptions to set up a new subscription service with my shopify cart.

**What do you like best about Bold Commerce?**

it was easy to set up.....but, what i thought was set up turned into a fools mission of runaround garbage

**What do you dislike about Bold Commerce?**

1) the customer service can take 3-5 days to get any response and believe me you will NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE
2) if the app worked i would not need customer service but the app is totally unreliable and has screwed up our launch multiple times
3) weekly people are being charged weekly.  every other week people are being charged weekly.  (?) yup,, no matter what we set people up with and confirm it, the following week almost everyone is set to be charged again.
4) a week after we setup they dropped 119 of my 132 subscriptions and gave me some lame excuse
5) sign up someone new on a monday? careful, because the app might charge them a second time that Tuesday
6) want to know when someone's credit card bounced?  hope the customer is honest, because the app does not tell you.
7) want to change payment frequency?  there's a spot to do it, but no buttons to actually do it.
in short, because i could keep going.. this app is worthless beta dribble.  anyone who allowed this to launch, and especially the Shopify team that allowed this app to be used as a service along with shopify should be fired.  total garbage

Customer service team is the BEST...timely responses, efficient, and they help and teach me how to work with the Bold Apps. I am not tech savvy, but the team at Bold never made me feel that way. Bold agents were professional, courteous, and helped me with the set-up, all of my redundant and crazy questions, and never let any case go without proper and final resolution. Very happy with their response time. Amazing customer service with a hands-on approach that keeps us assured and confident that our web site with recurring orders, Bold Brain, Upsell, Product options, etc. is humming along perfectly!

Can't state any dislikes, no problems at all.

Tiered pricing for our online shop

**What do you like best about Bold Commerce?**

Being able to set specific prices at different tiers for each individual product was a must for us and this app has allowed us to do just that! It is simple to use but provides a high quality result. The fact that it lets us decide how we want to set up the pricing as well for each product is very helpful, whether it is a percentage discount or a fixed amount which is necessary for our different products. Also the support is great, when we ran into a small problem they were quick to get back to me and get the issue resolved (thanks Bhumi!). Very happy we found this app.

I ran into one small issue that was able to be resolved quickly so I don't have any complaints.

We are moving from one subscription box platform that was not very user friendly to another one.

**What do you like best about Bold Commerce?**

This app is so perfect! Our web developers added another app to manage our subscriptions and while it was pretty simple to use, it was visually awful and lacked a lot of the features we wanted. I am a HUGE fan of Bold and have had five of their apps on my other store since 2015. I reached out and had a couple of live video chats with Peter. He literally held my hand and walked me through setting up the box. Then when it was time to migrate the original customers over from the other app, Alysha and Ashley were beyond amazing. Unfortunately, I have had to do everything myself because paying the developers gave me results I was not happy with. I used their live chat feature for a lot of little questions (how to manage customers accounts on the back end, how to offer discount codes, etc). Daniel was BEYOND patient with me and answered every question with detail for me to understand. I honestly don't know what I would have done without the four of them. The app is worth every penny. The customer service they gave me was truly going above and beyond. And the cool thing is that they each independently helped me. I don't know how to thank them enough.

Loved everything. There honestly wasn't anything I disliked.

Our customers are able to easily manage their accounts.  Most importantly, the app plugs in well with our site and is aesthetically pleasing.

Use the app on two of my stores now and plan to use it on two more that I am working on. Always prompt, great, customer service. One of the reps, Raphael, solved my latest install request quickly and to my satisfaction. Great app with lots of customization. Helpful staff and prompt responses to all requests. I tried other apps out there and as they almost have the same features Bold seems to be on top of things and will respond quickly whenever I have a question or modification request.

The fact that their team would respond to my concerns quickly and tweak the code to my satisfaction without asking for additional money for customizing it.

Nothing. Everything worked to my satisfaction.

Their apps mostly work great out of the box and in those instances where there are any issues they have been very prompt in solving them for me without asking for additional money to do so.

This app is really easy to implement. It's almost a plug and play type of app. Easy upsell and cross-sell that will help you position products on the frontline while the customer starts the checkout process. Just installed it on our boot store and planning to sell boot care kit and boot jacks as cross-sell. Pretty sure this app will help sell those products or at least a lot of customers will not be able to view them if not buy them. Not to mention Rajni is great, she helped me troubleshoot a minor issue and she knew everything about the app which makes her Support Rockstar.

It's been a month we implemented this app and I am not sure what I dislike, but if there was an option to extend the available options on the cross-sell window that would be great. I think right now only 6 items are allowed.

Highly recommended if you want to see that boost in orders for items that are often ignored.

**What problems is Bold Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There were a few add-on items we been trying to sell and we were getting orders rarely for those items. As we implemented this app we are seeing a boost in those items being ordered.

The Product Options app gives me a great amount of flexibility when it comes to adding variants to my store. It is simple to use and there are endless ways to configure the options.

Nothing. So far, I've had nothing but a great experience.

Shopify is pretty limited when it comes to out of the box options. Because a large part of my business is engraving jewelry, I wanted an app that allowed me to add options for text, along with other upsells like charms. This app does it all for me without being confusing or "too much".

The results that Upsell consistently improves our sales, at least several increased sales a week!

We are able to increase our sales using Upsell prompts at checkout. We are able to charge the same price for a product for multiple countries, removing the auto currency conversion. We are able to provide many options for some of our more complex, specialized bags. There are so many benefits!

I was setting up an eCommerce market place for my mother. She was moving from selling some things from our house to set up a formal online store. 

**What do you like best about Bold Commerce?**

I like the way it gives you a breakdown of all the different apps that we have synced with bold. Since the primary user of the back end is my mother, the easy interface helps her a lot. 

**What do you dislike about Bold Commerce?**

There is not much I dislike. It is easy to navigate, easy to use and has a simple colourful interface

**What problems is Bold Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were going from having no store to set up a brand new eCommerce business. It was difficult for my mother to navigate these times and Bold was a great resource. It especially gave easy guides and tutorials for imperitive tasks such as billing.

We needed a way to add extended warranty to our products, and this was the best solution available.  It increased our online warranty sales and the cost of the app is worth the money

**What do you dislike about Bold Commerce?**

Its a little difficult to set up, and you are only able to add twelve products per upsell, but we found a work around.

If you need help, reach out to Bold.  They will provide excellent service!

here is no app on Shopify that allows a company to sell extended warranty and add bonus items that works half as good as this one.

Very easy to install, quick customer support, generous free trials to see if an app will work for my needs.

Some apps are a little expensive, but on the whole they are well worth the cost.
