"Keeping IT Support Organized"
4/5
What do you like best about BMC Helix ITSM?

What I like most about BMC Helix ITSM is having incidents, service requests, and change management in one place. It makes it easier for me to track tickets and follow their progress without switching between different tools. I also find the customizable workflows useful for fitting the platform into the way our team works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BMC Helix ITSM?

What I dislike most is that some of the customization can be difficult to handle without technical knowledge. Even small changes can take extra time, and the documentation isn't always easy to navigate when I'm trying to figure something out. The interface can also feel a little complicated during everyday use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful ITSM Visibility and Automation, but a Complex Interface for New Users"
3.5/5
What do you like best about BMC Helix ITSM?

What I like best about it is its centralized approach to managing IT service requests, incidents, changes, and assets. It offers clear visibility across the overall service lifecycle, helps automate repetitive tasks, and makes it easier to track, prioritize, and resolve issues efficiently. The customizable workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities are also valuable for improving IT operations and keeping a close eye on service performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BMC Helix ITSM?

One area I find challenging with is that the interface and configuration options can feel complex, especially for new users. Some workflows require multiple steps to configure or customize, and navigating through different modules can take time. The platform could also be more intuitive and user-friendly for simpler day to day tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifying Day-to-Day Service Management"
4/5
What do you like best about BMC Helix ITSM?

I like how Helix ITSM helps keep our day-to-day service management organized. I can manage requests, check ticket statuses, and use knowledge articles to find information when I need it. The automation and customization options are also helpful for reducing repetitive work and making processes more consistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BMC Helix ITSM?

The learning curve is one of the main things I find frustrating. There are many features and settings to get familiar with, so onboarding new team members takes time. I also feel the reporting and analytics could be more useful out of the box, without needing as much additional setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized ITSM with Great Automation but UI Needs Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about BMC Helix ITSM?

I like how easy BMC Helix ITSM makes it to manage incidents, service requests, and changes all from one place. The interface is fairly straightforward, and I appreciate features like automation, ticket routing, and notifications which reduce a lot of manual follow-up. Having a centralized view of ticket status and history is also really useful for my team to efficiently track and resolve issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BMC Helix ITSM?

One area that could be improved is the user interface. Some screens and workflows feel dated and can take time to get used to, especially for new users. Reporting and dashboard customization could be more intuitive, as some configurations require additional steps or technical knowledge. Performance can occasionally be slower when working with larger ticket volumes. Some commonly used options are not always where I'd expect, making navigation between screens or finding specific ticket information time-consuming, particularly for new team members. Creating reports with multiple filters or customizing dashboards involves several steps, and I'd prefer a more straightforward, drag-and-drop approach with ready-to-use options. These aren't major blockers, but they add time to routine tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Enterprise-Grade ITSM That Scales for Complex Processes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about BMC Helix ITSM?

What I like best about BMC Helix ITSM is its balance between flexibility and enterprise-grade functionality. Having worked with different ITSM platforms, I've found that Helix does a good job of supporting complex IT processes without forcing organizations into rigid workflows. Its automation, service request management, and change management capabilities are mature, and the platform scales well for large environments. I also like that it integrates well with other BMC Helix products, making it easier to build a connected IT operations and service management ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BMC Helix ITSM?

One of the biggest drawbacks for me is the user interface. Compared to many modern ITSM platforms, it feels dated and isn't always intuitive. Common tasks can take more clicks than expected, and navigating between different modules isn't as smooth as it could be. A more modern, streamlined UI would make the overall experience much better. "Intuitive UI, But High Costs and Complexity"
1/5
What do you like best about BMC Helix ITSM?

I find the user interface of BMC Helix ITSM to be quite intuitive. The DWP catalog has also been easy for users to navigate and use. On top of that, the updates have been stable and reliable so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BMC Helix ITSM?

It wasn’t easy working with the developers. The “upgrade” from Smart Reporting to Dashboards actually felt like a step backward and required a lot of knowledge and experience to use effectively. On top of that, the cost increased significantly, and we ultimately weren’t able to continue the partnership. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BMC Helix ITSM?

BMC Helix ITSM could be improved on performance under heavy loads, reporting flexibility, and ease of customization and integrations.
