"Streamlining the Global Payroll party!"

What do you like best?

For me as a user in a global software company, it was Blue Marble's ability to allow me to have one interface for all regions and countries. I was able to report in local currency, aggregate reporting or have it country specific. The fact that I can interface with ICP's in one, central interface was game changing!

What do you dislike?

For me this would be more about the one partner in one of our countries, I think we can do better with the one particular provider. Blue Marble however is committed to making sure that the relationship works or they are committed to making it better. That's just one local provider out of 10 that we use through Blue Marble.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Efficiency of process. No more file share dashboards. One interface for 10 countries is amazing...just amazing. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate. Not too shiny but not dull either.

"Supercharged Global Payroll"

What do you like best?

Working with Blue Marble Payroll has been one of the most refreshing experiences that I have had with any payroll company. The staff are incredibly competent, from the sales team, all the way through the project implementation team. The software is intuitive, easy to use, and well supported. Basically, you're never left wondering "what's next?"

What do you dislike?

I have had such a positive experience with Blue Marble Payroll that I can't think of any areas of dislike. Some countries take a little longer to get started than others, but I imagine that this is mostly country compliance related, and not a reflection of the company's ability to complete them faster.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Understand the global compliance landscape as best you can and know that you are the start to a smooth implementation. If you don't have your company formation in place then you aren't a legal employer in that country.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I've been in global HR for nearly 20 years and have worked with numerous payroll providers. Blue Marble Payroll has provided the first experience where I didn't have to go to another provider for one country or another. They cover the world! This seems trivial, but being able to see all of your payroll from a single platform is invaluable. It ensures that the payroll reporting is produced consistently and on time. I also like the direct access that I have to the in-country providers. I've worked with other "global" solutions that hide the fact that they use local providers, rather than having their own brick and mortar offices in each location. This is by far the better model.

"Adequate- will do the job"

What do you like best?

It allows me to pay non-US employees via a web based system

What do you dislike?

Reporting is not useful. You cannot see a pre-process register that shows the gross to net checks. No where can you find the employer liability for taxes. You must wait an entire day before you receive back your payroll reports, and these come via email, not the payroll system. If you find problems with the payroll you have run you then have to wait another day or two after you have made changes to see if it is then correct. If, not another 2 days, and on and on.....

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Go direct to a local provider. Blue Marble is just a middle man for the local provider anyway.

"Great experience for global payroll"

What do you like best?

I've had a great customer service experience with our reps. The system is very easy to use and allows you to run very efficient reports.

What do you dislike?

Although easy to navigate, the platform looks slightly outdated. An upgrade here could better the product.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Customer service needs, cost, and who they would partner with. The size of company is very important as well. If you are a company of around 50 or so employees, it makes sense. If you are a company well over 100+ employees, it might not be the best fit.

Blue Marble allows us to easily run payroll for our employees in Singapore. We are also able to track employee data and changes efficiently in the system.

"Falls Short"

What do you like best?

Nothing. We only use it as it would be too time consuming to change right now. We will be dropping it at the first available opportunity

What do you dislike?

Just about everything.What you get is nothing like you are told during the sales process. BlueMarble is not a payroll processing company. All they do is process your payroll though their website with a third party processor. Why not go straight to the processor and save all the additional fees? All the reports are useless. All they show is the gross salary being paid. No taxes, employer or employee. No way to know cash needed. You have to wait until the next day to see if the payroll is correct as there are no real-time reports available

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Don't do it. Either go direct to the local payroll processing company or find a different service

"Global Payroll Solution"

What do you like best?

Providing a user friendly system for all globe payroll in one place. Ability to provide input on process and system improvements. Very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating payroll partners around the Globe.

What do you dislike?

One payroll expert for all countries, this is an impossible request but still a wish.

Having one system for all international payroll. Better consistency and reduction in processing time.

"Great partner for global expansion"

What do you like best?

The sales pitch I received matched the service and implementation 100%. There are honest about what they can and cannot do. The model of having direct contact with local payroll provider saves time and provides great service to our employees.

What do you dislike?

There is no dislike. We had a few bumps in the road, but the team partnered to quickly get resolution without finger pointing. They are very accountable as a company.

We had partner with a previous global payroll provider and they were terrible. Blue Marble helped us convert in record speed and provided transparency to the process.

"Customer Service Centered Approach with Easy to Use Technology"

What do you like best?

All information for all companies are housed in one system, including reporting capabilities. The process for submitting payroll and pulling reports is standard across our international entities and saves us time. Both the in-country service providers and Blue Marble employees are extremely responsive and helpful. It is helpful to be able to access both levels of service.

What do you dislike?

Webportal is constantly being updated but some features are a little "clunky" to use.

Synchronize payroll schedules for all entities.

Flexibility and responsiveness to ideas and updates

What do you dislike?

Some of the processes are a little behind - they are coming along though!

I think the flexibility is really good - when we were considering options this and the technology were the items that stood them apart.

Before implementing Blue Marble we were using 11 separate payroll providers, all with their own deadlines and formats so streamlining it to one umbrella has been useful

"Insightful Portal"

What do you like best?

From the system / provider we used previously, Blue Marble Payroll is very insightful and provides us with details of our payroll transactions.

What do you dislike?

I haven't found a con using the system.

Employees and employers have access to the payroll information once it's submitted. Allows employees to have access without going through employer. Especially helpful with former employees wanting access to their payslips.
