Setting up recurring payments is straightforward and helpful for our business context. The customer service team is also top-notch. They are very thorough and kind in their approach to each issue.

**What do you dislike about Blackthorn Payments?**

I don't like that you are forced to only accept 1 discount code. I think it should be up to the business to decide. However, the customer service team was able to help me workaround that issue.

Collecting recurring payments from our members - we have tried other applications but this one is the most seamlessly integrated within the Salesforce system, making it easy to use.

This app allows my current company to streamline immediate payments for potential clients. When a system-wide error occurred, their support team took immediate action and responded to my ticket within a matter of hours.

Their customer support team went above and beyond to troubleshoot with me, even offering up live 'office hours' via Zoom for additional help.

The issue was resolved in a business day and allowed our company to continue utilizing their pay services.

I truly don't see a downside to using Blackthorn!

**What do you like best about Blackthorn Payments?**

What we love most about Blackthorn payment is its seamless integration with Salesforce. The ability to manage payments within the Salesforce platform has truly elevated our payment processing system. The customization options are outstanding, allowing us to tailor the payments to our branding and client requirements. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it easy to add a payment method and process payment. Additionally, the responsive and supportive customer support provided by the Blackthorn team ensures a smooth and  timely support.

I couldn't think of something we dislike with Blackthorn payments.

Blackthorn payment help us streamline and optimize client payment processes to ensure smooth and efficient transactions with our clients.
The secure paylinks helped us to protect us and our clients from fraudulent activities.  It has enhanced the overall user experience during the payment process, and helped improve our lead conversion rates, which resulted to an increased in  revenue.

The main problem is the disconnect between payments and contacts/opportunities inside of Salesforce. This is the main painpoint that this software solution provides.

Our old event management tools had reached end of life and we needed a new solution to suit our sports industry business. We were already an existing Stripe customer and after an extensive search we decided on Salesforce with Blackthorn Events and Payments which seamlessly connected to our existing account. We could not be happier with our new platform and the support from the Blackthorn team.

Happy with the platform and any minor specific customisation we required we have found a solution for. They continue to reach out for feedback on enhancing functionality.

**What do you like best about Blackthorn Payments?**

The app met all requirements and was a wild success for our implementation.  The tight integration with Stripe makes it even better than we imagined.  Everything we need to know about our payment processing is in Salesforce through this app.  The implementation support we received from Ashley was world-class.   Ashely is technically proficient, well versed in this app and Salesforce, punctual, and well organized.  Could not have asked for anything more.  Superb.

We haven't found anything that we dislike yet.  It's been an overall positive experience.  No complaints.

We needed a payment gateway between Salesforce and our credit card processor (Stripe).  Blackthorn provides both the user interface where credit card information is entered, as well as the data integration with our credit card processor to store all the info we need about payments in the Salesforce Opportunity.

**What do you like best about Blackthorn Payments?**

All of the overhead of building and maintaining a direct integration with Stripe has been completely handled by Blackthorn. The amount of bandwidth this frees up alone can't be understated - the way everything's been made to feel native to Salesforce without ever having to touch Stripe is beyond the extra mile. From their documentation, regular monthly updates, public roadmaps, the quality of support - shout out to Grace and Spencer most recently, you guys were fantastic (thanks!) - I really could go on just about the softer stuff which is something I don't think I've ever said about an ISV. 

I'm not sure if I'd know where to even start when it comes to the standard of engineering. As a Salesforce dev currently working solo, I spend a lot of my time scratching my head (putting it mildly) handling all of the legacy declarative and programmatic 'features' we've gathered over the years. Seeing so many design patterns, best practices and generally the feeling of quality and consideration that permeates through the entire package is a breath of fresh air, and is what developing on the Salesforce platform should look like.

**What do you dislike about Blackthorn Payments?**

Dislike is a strong word, but if I had any comment whatsoever it would be that Blackthorn Payments covers integrations with all payment service providers/gateways you could reasonably expect, and Blackthorn's other offerings extend much farther beyond that.

In another world, I'd be curious just how many QOL features or other optional extras, akin to the newer Manage Subscription screen flow off the top of my head, would have the time to be developed if the focus for instance was narrowed to a single payment gateway (Stripe in our case). 

I say in another world because, quite frankly, nothing is lacking, and I don't half enjoy seeing all of the work Blackthorn's doing. Selfish desire from me to see more fantastically engineered things that I get to interact with day-to-day.

**What problems is Blackthorn Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a Salesforce native integration with Stripe, the right way. I think I've likely gushed enough about Blackthorn, but the time and stress that's bypassed not just for myself as 'the' Salesforce developer for our team, but everyone and everything that interacts with Stripe cannot be understated.

Our entire onboarding experience, from start to finish, was incredible. We had tremendous support from our onboarding director, Ashley. She never failed to get us the answers we needed to make this a successful transition for our organization. We're looking forward to learning more about the app and taking advantage of the features to push our organization forward!

**What do you dislike about Blackthorn Payments?**

We currently do not have a way to turn off the CVV or Postal Code validation at the virtual terminal level. However, it is already on the roadmap for the June release!

Fully integrated payment processing between Salesforce and Stripe and automated credit card updater services.

**What do you like best about Blackthorn Payments?**

Installation is a breeze, connecting to STRIPE - seamless, and syncing of historical data insanely straight forward.  For standard users  the base modules can be quickly deployed and you can start taking payments immediately.  For Salesforce Admins or organizations with a more customized flow you can integrate the product into Screen Flows, managing payment plans, send pay links to clients and so much more!!  Total ultimate control.

**What do you dislike about Blackthorn Payments?**

I would like a few more screen flow options; but honestly there isn't anything that would block me from using Blackthorn Payments.  The app is great and provides all you need to collect payments.

**What problems is Blackthorn Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackthorn Payments really resolves payment processing in Salesforce  while also connecting payments processed outside of Salesforce which happen through the connected Merchant Account.  

I've used the product in conjunction with zapier to process sales and payments happening in ClickFunnels, Shopify, PayKickstart and WooFunnels.   The system allowed me to confirm that all processed payments were connected to the client's purchase, payouts are balanced and clients can reuse payment methods in the future.

The product has truly helped me align internal payment processes with core Salesforce functionality.  The flexibility is just amazing!

Covers end to end requirements including a range of addtional functionality, whilst always advancing their products. Also a great supportive team with you can see have an excellecnt culture.

Integration with Field Service is still a retively new part of their business, but optismitic that more native functionality will come to the mobile app, especially as FSMA gets more LWCs.

Being able to collect payments whilst Service Resource is out in the field.

**What do you like best about Blackthorn Payments?**

Blackthorn Payments has been very helpful for our users to help run paid events.  The checkout process is very intuitive for anyone registering on the front end.  The back end allows us to track payments and quickly generate reports to share with stakeholders and department heads.  Paid events have enabled our institution to find new and creative ways to grow programs and host conferences.

We haven't had anything about payments that disklike at this time.

The main thing Blackthorn Payments solves for us is that we can easily collect payments and generate new revenues.

We run two online brands that natively process / collect 3 fiat currencies via 6 payment gateways.  (This number may increase in the future.). After doing a fair bit of research, we couldn't be happier with our final outcome and can fully trust Blackthorn to help us scale as our business grows.  The onboarding and constant contact with their team has also been fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Blackthorn Payments?**

I'm not big on reading documentation so this isn't a fair criticism but finding a few of the options and reports could have been a bit cleared but that is probably more on me then them.

**What problems is Blackthorn Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackhthorn probably saved us from hiring at least 2 more bodies and has allowed us to centralize all of our multi-national payments in one location.

Payments, collections and AR automation have been a big pain for us for a while. We looked at nearly every payment processor and integration layer available for our existing Salesforce setup. Blackthorn was far and away the most flexible, straightforward and easy-to-implement solution we found, and we're extremely pleased with the results. It makes integrating Stripe a breeze, while allowing us to tailor our payments to work with our existing AR workflows and reduce the administrative burden on our finance and sales teams.

**What do you dislike about Blackthorn Payments?**

Blackthorn is powerful and straightforward out of the box, but it does require you to configure a decent amount of automation around it if you deal with large price books, detailed quotes or collections in arrears, like we do. That has certainly taken the most time for us to implement, but it is less a reflection on the product and more a reflection on the general challenges of centralizing our business processes around Salesforce as our CRM and CPQ tool. We think Blackthorn has definitely been a step in the right direction for us in that journey.

We collect payments from B2B customers on annual subscriptions for a wide variety of software products. We use Salesforce CPQ to generate our quotes, contracts, renewals and subscriptions, but we were lacking an integrated way to turn those into automated invoices and collect payment using the wide variety of supported credit card and ACH payments from Stripe. Blackthorn has given us the ability to do so, and will definitely allow our team to focus more on winning new business rather than managing AR and duplicating invoices in our bookkeeping platform.

The only downside for me is the flexibility of their Virtual Terminal. I had one instance where I wanted to customize their payment terminal to have different settings per scenario. That's is currently not live, although I've had discussions with their support team to enable that. Looking forward to seeing what we can come up with.

When we needed an additional requirement for our implementation case, Blackthorn prioritized it in their backlog and would almost always be able to provide the feature to us for their next release date. As they released updates monthly, it was always timely.

Blackthorn Payments offers a relatively easy product to integrate with Salesforce as long as it's for internal Salesforce Users. The Payments experience within Communities was a little more complex to implement and could use some finessing; however, they continue to improve Payments for communities. I'm excited to see what their future releases will bring.

Our use case with Payments was to allow payment acceptance from users via a Salesforce Community experience. Blackthorn has allowed us to connect every Stripe customer with their respective SFDC account for visibility across departments. Total gamechanger.

There were some challenges getting onboarded, but this was primarily due to our data structure. Their support team was incredibly helpful and responsive through it all.

Once the solution is set up and Stripe is connected to Salesforce, the access levels and setup one can put in place makes it super easy for sales reps to create or update subscriptions without the need to actually login to Stripe (a security risk).

I think blackthorn is easy to use and efficient. In payments, you can see what fee has been processed and what fees have failed. I use the tools to edit in subscriptions the most and I find it very user friendly. I haven't used another service and am unsure how they would compare to one another.

The least helpful thing is that the tax isn't automatically added. I have to adjust it with each new subscribtion but it's quick to do so it's not a big deal at all.

Blackthorn payments offer a user-friendly and no-code experience enabling payment processing with our customers. I have experienced no major difficulties with this product and it has fit the needs of my organization. One of the highlights of this product is not only the product itself but the people offering support, each time I reach out to their support staff I receive prompt and direct responses allowing me to resolve issues quite quickly. Given the nature of business these days, being able to fix an issue promptly is key to our success.

Some components of Blackthorn payments conflict with other Salesforce modules, so I would complete extensive testing on a module prior to releasing it. Fortunately, support has provided the assistance needed to address these conflicts when they arise.

They were small and would listen to feedback when we used them.The basic necessity of integrating Salesforce and Stripe was accomplished, and we were able to process payments with our customers via invoices triggered from Salesforce. Great price as well for what we were getting.

Being a small company, they did not have all the features out of the box that we were looking for in a payment processing system. We had to find some workarounds for specific functionality and client-side user interface. We had an issue with recurring payments early on, but that has since been resolved.

They had good customer support and feature releases to help their customers. I love that in a company, and if they continue to do that, they would be a good solution to roll with.

Blackthorn has made it much easier for our salesmen to take payments in Salesforce.  Everything is right there on one screen, so they do not have to switch between Salesforce and another app to take payment.  The connectivity with Salesforce and Quickbooks is also a huge help for the finance department.

We have had no issues with Balckthorn so far.  From set up to going live has been a very smooth process.

I actually don't dislike anything. I think the Blackthorn team did an amazing job of making the app simple and easy to use for everybody!

**What do you like best about Blackthorn Payments?**

Most of the Stripe Billing use cases are synced and replicated within Salesforce, helping users leverage Salesforce tools with the information from Stripe.

If you were to build this from scratch, it would take several months or even years, which Blackthorn will save you.

**What do you dislike about Blackthorn Payments?**

So far, the only downside I've found is the synchronization time for some use cases, since it can take several minutes to see data reflected in Salesforce, which is an issue for call center agents who need to be able to see information in real-time.

Additionally, the support you get when you're blocked or find a bug is not as quick as you'd expect. A potential improvement opportunity exists here, in my opinion.

We are using it to consolidate multiple Stripe accounts into one Salesforce org.

I'd say the terminology is a little difficult to train users as we build contacts and gateway customers (duplicates use of two objects). It's get easier once people understand terminology. Not dislike but would love the ability to use existing contacts as gateway customers

Automated payments, reporting, relation to data in CRM, one single platform (built inside CRM), sending links for payments, etc etc etc. many benefits

Our onboarding specialist was amazing! She was so honest and helpful and answered all of our questions and made sure that it was truly the best solution for us!

**What do you dislike about Blackthorn Payments?**

It would be really nice if you could customize what objects and fields it maps to. Also the setup for updating a payment method doesn't really work if you have more than one stripe customer associated with a single contact and there's no way to change that, so that's unfortunate.

**What problems is Blackthorn Payments solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great to be able to use Stripe Billing as a non-profit.
