Setup is simple (Tracker version) and you can go from zero to actively using the software within a week. **What do you dislike about BlackCurve?** As a first impression, there is not much to dislike - Any issues we have had have been amended swiftly causing no issues, the team is willing to work with you to fix any complications. **What problems is BlackCurve solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have solved the issue of spending tons of time looking at competitor pricing manually, now all competitor data is in one place immediately on the dashboard, with pricing updates daily. From the very beginning with the onboarding process, the team at Blackcurve has really pushed for the success of their software with our business. This is not a company that sets up its system and walks away which was vital in the early days to give us the confidence to move from micromanaging pricing to letting the software run itself. Blackcurve has completely changed our approach with growth; we have more confidence in continuing to expand our catalogue now we can let Blackcurve handle pricing changes within custom rules we have set. **What do you dislike about BlackCurve?** There is nothing I dislike as Blackcurve is always improving based on user feedback. Since we have started with them, there has been such positive progression on the dashboard and their roadmap is very exciting. **What problems is BlackCurve solving and how is that benefiting you?** We immediately solved the time-consuming task of manual pricing, which by the time we were finished we often were no longer competitive. One of the best benefits we have realised is that Blackcurve not only reduces the price to be competitive but increases it, we were apprehensive that a pricing software would have a hard hit on our margin but in reality, this has been the opposite in many cases and in such a competitive industry this is always a win! ### 3. Every business has different challenges with regards to pricing and I feel that they listened and understood ours. As well as this there were suggestions from their side to help maximise profit whilst increasing sales which was great to hear. **What do you dislike about BlackCurve?** So far I can't say there are any. They have been extremely agile and any challenge that has been thrown their way they have dealt with superbly. **What problems is BlackCurve solving and how is that benefiting you?** We do have the manpower internally to manage pricing across thousands of SKU's. Blackcurve are solving this for us. As well as that the extra benefits are that frees up our headspace to fine-tune the software with rules for certain product groups, seasons, banding based on GP etc. ### 4. I love the rules engine; we have got to a stage of micromanaging it at a product level, meaning bespoke pricing rules for the whole catalog. It's tough to describe the time this product has saved us over the years; we have been using it for so long now it's hard to picture what we did without it. No more spreadsheets, trawling google searching what the market price was for products and where we should place ourselves. We now have confidence that with the correct data input, we will be sitting at the right price we want to be. Automation of pricing has been a key driver in our growth over the last couple of years; it is why we were so well-positioned during the covid e-commerce boom and the reason we remained competitive throughout. **What do you dislike about BlackCurve?** I don't dislike anything; the reason for this is, anytime there is an issue or something isn't quite right, the team gathers the feedback and rectifies it. Being an early adopter of the system, we have seen it from the very early stages; their analytics portal was not quite polished, we provided this feedback and now they have an in-depth analytics dashboard. In this dashboard, you can see price competitiveness, history of product pricing, market data, and much, much more. **What problems is BlackCurve solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have solved the problems of not using real-time information to make pricing adjustments. We had been manually monitoring prices and changing accordingly; however, the next day, if the competitor moved, we would be uncompetitive; this software allows us to check and change prices daily based upon a pre-defined ruleset. We have solved a problem whereby we are selling stuff too cheap/at a loss and being much too expensive compared to the market; this has allowed us to have stock moving and grow our sales overall continually. ### 6. BlackCurve is not a one-box fits all solution and they can dynamically deliver based on our requirements no matter how demanding they are allowing us to get on with running our business and freeing up our time that used to be spent on pricing. **What do you dislike about BlackCurve?** The only disadvantage to Black Curve is that it's not an out-of-the-box solution however this is also one of the biggest advantages at the same time. **Recommendations to others considering BlackCurve:** If you are in the market for a repricing solution please contact BlackCurve. We have tested tens of solutions and BlackCurve was the one that we selected as they knew what we needed as a retailer. They are the best in the industry. **What problems is BlackCurve solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving our repricing work on our website with more than 20 thousand SKU's BlackCurve once set up runs itself and manages all of our prices. We are really pleased with the job that BlackCurve is doing for us and this has lead to cost savings increased margin and saved time. ### 7. Every member of the team seems to be working towards one goal and that is to make BlackCurve better for their customers. They always listen to our suggestions and if they like them then they roll them into the product. I've never dealt with an online company that is as receptive as they are, every other company we have dealt with in the past often takes suggestions and tries to charge us for them and then roll them out to every other customer and charge them for those features as well. **What do you dislike about BlackCurve?** There isn't a lot I dislike about BlackCurve, if I HAD to be picky about things, I'd say the admin panel can be a bit glitchy from time to time but that is literally me trying to find things wrong! **Recommendations to others considering BlackCurve:** When considering BlackCurve don't just think that the software will lower the prices to sell more, we have actually found so many times that BlackCurve has found opportunities to sell higher than what we were selling at. So there is the additional profit of selling items, there is the additional sale profit of items that didn't normally sell, there is the money saved on advertising a non-competitive product on google ads causing an increased conversion rate, need I say more? **What problems is BlackCurve solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have 30,000+ products on our website and unfortunately with all the will in the world you cannot manage this, even if we try to write some fancy excel rules to increase profit against sales etc, there is no way to check what competitors are doing en masse and as a result it ends up being a slow, manual process. We were only really focusing on the top 200 products at max and hoping that products sell at the end of our range based on a price that got changed once a year. Now we are changing thousands of prices daily and as a result have seen a huge uptake in products that we don't normal sell regularly. Don't tell anyone either but our marketing cost as a percentage of Revenue actually decreased by 2% (Marketing cost / Revenue) in June! In fact, tell everyone because the benefits on Google Ads alone saved the business £2,500 in decreased marketing spend, while increasing Revenue. Perhaps you can't attribute it to BlackCurve, perhaps it is something else, however I feel it's just too co-incidental not to be BlackCurve's influence. ### 8. BlackCurve has great functionality to build rules around pricing to allow different price strategies for different brands, categories, product lines etc **What do you dislike about BlackCurve?** There's not much to dislike about BlackCurve. Once set up it just works by itself without much intervention. **Recommendations to others considering BlackCurve:** If you have more products than you can look at manually the software like BlackCurve is a must. If your market is competitive then pricing software will help you stay with your competitors while helping you to get the best margin available, all within the parameters that you are fully in control of. I would definately recommend BlackCurve as an answer for that. We have found the team very easy to deal with and always very quick to help if there's a problem. They constantly ask for feedback on the system and use the feedback to make positive upgardes. **What problems is BlackCurve solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our current online SKU count is just over 25,000. It just isn't possible to price these individually so BlackCurve has enabled us to get the best margin available while offering the customer a competitive price. It has also removed the need to spend hours researching market values of products. ### 9. When we first started the dashboard and searching for products was very slow, but since then they have pushed an update and things are a lot faster now. **Recommendations to others considering BlackCurve:** This is a game-changing bit of tech that's well worth the investment in time and money. The team are great and the company is evolving all the time. They really listen to my ideas and input and you can see them implementing suggestions. **What problems is BlackCurve solving and how is that benefiting you?** All of our initial pricing problems have been solved, with this tech we have created new problems which we couldn't have dreamed to have before Blackcurve. (witch is a good thing) The Blackcurve Team are always there to listen to feedback and any ideas we have and always help to make our ideas work.
