## BizTalk360 Reviews
  ### 1. Excellent product for supporting and monitoring BizTalk applications and servers.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

I'm fond of the dashboard which displays key information and the configurable alerts for issues.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

There's a minor quirk that can occur when reviewing suspended instances where the configured query will duplicate the fields and fail to load. It's been around for a while but isn't critical.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software helps us keep important processes running by identifying issues early and often before they become larger issues. For example, we have a vendor who sends us transactions which depend on our system. We process the files and forward them on to other systems and return results to the original customer. Any delays can lead to a poor customer experience, risk or loss.

  ### 2. Great tool to monitor the health of our business applications.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tobias F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

We are happy with the product and the BizTalk360 team is always helpful and several proposals on new functions requested were added in an updated version.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The dashboard could be more interactive and display more relevant information like data monitoring failures/success and more details about on-going artifact alarms.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

Great choice if you have different needs to monitor your business applications.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To get an application focused monitoring. Earlier we used SCOM, but the BizTalk plugins is a bit more “square” and we had problem monitoring everything correctly as different applications need a customized monitoring. Biztalk360 have much more options to monitor in many ways than if the application is started or not.

  ### 3. Great Tool for Administration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikram R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

The User interface is very good. Anybody without BizTalk knowledge and with little training can use the tool for BizTalk Administration

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Integration with Slack and other Notification tools can be improved. I still need to check if we can integrate alerts with MS Teams

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alerts when any of the artifacts are stopped or restarting services. Mainly alerting for various scenarios

  ### 4. Great and Easy BizTalk administration Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Biztalk360 is a very simple and easy supplement for managing BizTalk. I like features like:

- Email Alert
- Start/Stop Applications and services
- Automatic processing of an issue with a port.
- Simple to Install/Update
- BizTalk Support Team answer very quickly

Its the best BizTalk tools in our minds so far.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

I wished that the API was more flexsible.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Many people can use at the same time.
- Search for errors.

  ### 5. Biztalk360, All in one

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alain M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Biztalk360 is an all-in-one product that brings together different features that are originally found in multiple applications.
This makes it easier to monitor all components of Biztalk.
It is also safer since there is no longer a need to connect to the servers.

The features that are most useful to us are alerts and auto-restart.

This tool also allows us to share some information with our employees

The product is evolving regularly.
Any bugs are corrected quickly and our requests for changes are taken into account in the product backlog

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

I wish we could restart the Host Instances from the interface.
Otherwise, all the improvements I requested were taken into account and delivered in different releases.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product saves us time because it is all-in-one and it allows us to gain on the safety aspect.
The alerting system is very helpful.

As Biztalk has a very important place within our company, the use of Biztalk360 has allowed us to secure, stabilize the palteform

  ### 6. BizTalk Monitoring and Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stuart B. | Principal Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Based on a number of years experience, the monitoring of BizTalk artifacts and environments is invaluable. The auto correct feature helps alleviate a significant number of basic issues.

Process monitoring to ensure that "work" is flowing through implemented BizTalk integrations as expected is a fantastic pro-active support tool which can also help grow business confidence.

Reducing the need for basic manual checks in the support space frees staff up to look at other issue.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

UI niggle - on many views where a table returns multiple rows, scrolling the screen loses the table column headings. It would be great if this instead worked like the "freeze top row" in Excel, where the heading remained in places while scrolling the data in the rows.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Current work place, BizTalk solution is not yet live, but BizTalk 360 is still being used by the test teams to check services and monitor for exception entries. We are planning our use for production.

In a previous role, I implemented BizTalk 360 to provide: twice daily system reports; proactive correction and monitoring of environments; comprehensive process monitoring.

One specific example where Auto Correction directly prevented a daily issue was when we had receive locations shutting down each night due to a unknown network issue. This save timed manually correcting this and also prevented any back log of unprocessed messages.

The process and platform monitoring also allowed the support teams to react quickly to possible issues and prevent these becoming larger issues for the business.

  ### 7. Simple and effective BizTalk Server Admin Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gilbert V. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Our most common liked feature is the fact that, depending on the need of the users you can grant them access to the appropriated BizTalk applications.
It's easy to install and learn, but especially the support is great. They are fast in their response, always willing to help and to seek a solution.
As I'm always trying to install new version directly after they have been rolled out, I stumble across some minor issues, but always get there full support if I'm posting them to BizTalk360.
Additionally the monitoring option are of great value and are supporting our day to day tasks as BizTalk Administrators, where the API tools are giving us additional value and are used within our own additional tools.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by the sheer number of options and configuration you have in the Tool, this can be a joy, but in some cases it is also a burden.
Getting al the monitoring settings in and maintaining them can be a challenging task!

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems solved with BizTalk360 are several, but mainly the user access is solving several issues.
No longer needed to logon to the server and stopping/disabling or even deleting application unintended.

  ### 8. The best tool for BizTalk Server

We're trying to improve our Production SLA with BizTalk360

  ### 9. Stable Product for Monitoring Biztalk Server Locations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

It generates alerting emails and restarts receive ports automatically whenever a failure has been detected.
Easy to use and flexible monitoring options.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The response and loading times of the browser are not very fast.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 10. Valuable for Small installation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mining & Metals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

I like the auto restart of ports and orchestrations, it makes my job easier as the sole BizTalk Admin.
I also use the daily Health checks to make sure my environment is running smoothly and I like that with BizTalk360 I know that a problem exists before the application users even knows.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

There is noting I dislike about the product.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

I can't do my job or go on vacation without having BizTalk360 monitoring my applications.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring a complex environment with limited amount of Admins.

  ### 11. Seamless BizTalk360 Upgrade to newer version

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Altaf K. | Support Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

BizTalk360 Upgrade to Version 9.0.2151.2808 went seamless without any issue and other best thing we like with BTS360 is Monitoring Dash board and Widgets. Dash board really giving beautiful display showing what's going on with BizTalk.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Analytics tool would be more useful if it had feature to use sql query output to produce graphical interface. Unable to download the zip file from ESB portal interface. This has been already raised with BTS360 guys. Hope they are working on it. It would be really good, if BTS360 can monitor service fabric, having more threshold configuration options for SFTP and Queue related monitoring.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

It would be really great, if BizTalk360 alert natively supports for remedy alert. At the moment we need to develop our own API. It requires improvement there. Also When we choose alerting API, only we can load the DLL, there is no option to have Powershell, it would be really great if have option for Powershell as well. For us, Supports Remedy natively without any extra development would be really great.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clear visibility of suspended, running instances. Immediate alerting if something goes wrong. It really pretty useful BizTalk visibility point of view. especially dash board giving clear picture what's going on internally in BizTalk.

  ### 12. BizTalk360, what else ?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

The simplicity of installation, of configuration and of use

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Old UI with, for some, difficulties to understand the hierarchy and some functionalities

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The overview, the black box visualization, the transverse view of the operation of the applications

  ### 13. Recommended for every BizTalk customer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

There are many things that I like, but the graphical flow has often helped me finding corresponding messages in a production environment.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The alarm settings are sometimes less intuitive to use.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

I think BizTalk360 is very useful in almost any BizTalk environment. The more complex the environment, the more useful BizTalk360 is.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I trust BizTalk360 to manage my production system, so I don't have to worry about it until I receive a notification. So I don't have to monitor the environment myself proactively.

  ### 14. BizTalk360, a must have tool for every BizTalk user

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

With BizTalk360 it is easy to monitor your BizTalk environments and the ability to automatically correct errors reduces downtime and saves admins time. Also the possibility to give fine-grained permissions to functional administrators greatly helps in giving them insight in BizTalk without the need of an integration engineers providing them that information.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

In large environments in can be difficult to get a good overview of how alerts and coupled to alarms.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

In larger environments, make sure to use the Messaging Patterns feature. This greatly reduces troubleshooting time because it gives a simple overview of all message flows.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving time a daily operation tasks like checking for suspended instances, daily up-time checks, etc.

  ### 15. BizTalk360 The only way to manage BizTalk Server

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shane B. | Senior Specialist: IT Systems Engineer: MS Integration, Insurance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

The ability to automate mundane tasks such as message resumption and extraction. Coupled with the Autohealing capabilities that ensure that your BizTalk environment is always up. A single view of the health of your BizTalk envirnment saves time when investigating issues.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Extracting the full value from the product is quite time consuming, however the value that it adds is well worth the effort.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

The benefit that you derive from the use of this tool is very dependant on the adoption by the team and the effort that you put in to your configuration. Layer 1 setup is very quick and painless. The more detailed the monitoring and maintenance the more effort the setup requires. The benifet is however great as the tool takes care of your BizTalk managemnt and monitoring like no other tool can. Lastly, do yourself a favour and try it for yourself.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to empower my dev team to access the production environment. This reduces dependency on my team and speeds up problem identification and resolution. Using the automation features(Host instance monitoring and data monitoring) speeds up MTTR when there are issues and allows my team time to innovate and improve.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The web interface takes some getting used to. Alarms and mappings.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 19. BTS Operations for each team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

BizTalk 360 makes it possible for different teams in our company to do their own operations on BTS artifacts. Because they can only influence a limited set of operations on their own artifacts there is no risk the do any harm on other applications. This relieves the BizTalk operations team and gives them time to focus on more general tasks.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

BizTalk 360 is not always as fast we would like. Choosing the right browser can make a difference.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We serve 50 internal application in realizing their integration efforts. With BizTalk 360 we can give them control over their own integrations. When they temporarily do not want to receive messages for maintenance reasons they can stop the traffic themselves and resume it afterwards.

  ### 20. Excellent Monitoring tool for BizTalk

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary T. | Application Developer (BizTalk), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

BizTalk360 is a great product for monitoring all aspects of BizTalk in a single place and providing the alerting capabilities that are missing from the administration console / tools provided with BizTalk.

It is useful being a web-based and is highly configurable giving much flexibility to how you want the health of the environment to be reported and like the configurable dashboard to give some slightly differing views and the fact that it auto-refreshes of course unlike the admin console.

A good part from our side is also the querying of the BAM data and being able to easily provide access to just that for business users, being better to use and set up than the BAM portal is.

The capabilities of the product are ever expanding and improving with regular releases making new features available. The support from the BizTalk360 team is excellent.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The setup of the alarms is not completely intuitive and I wouldn’t say it replaces having to go to the admin console for us as it does not quite provide all the capabilities of that just yet and is a little slower to use than that and navigating around it to do similar tasks is a little slower and less intuitive again.

More a request than a dislike but would be good to see a mobile app version also.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a business the ability to provide timely and comprehensive alerting of our BizTalk environment was key and BizTalk360 has done this well.

  ### 21. Easy to use and good value to business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Easy to use, and lot's of good features - such as auto recovery, posting of alarms to Microsoft Teams etc.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The only issue I have is that when a message becomes suspended, and an alarm has been triggered for this, if more messages become suspended later on before the first alarm has been reset/handled - there really is no good way to be notified about the new suspended message.
This might be partly because we use BizTalk with many ports for many different systems - with quite few messages per system/day. It would probably not have been such an issue if we hade fewer systems with bigger volumes of messages.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Responding to problems with message delivery, for example being able to get high priority alarms for important integrations - such as messages to and from the bank for example. And at the same time being able to resolve many issues directly from the BizTalk360 console - and not having to log on to BizTalk itself. It gives us peace of mind, and we can easily set up alarms and monitor in ways that are useful for our business and customers.

  ### 22. EDI made visible and traceable for everyone.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** stijn s. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

BizTalk360 gives us an complete dashboard.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The setup is rather time consuming, but absolutely worth the effort.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With BizTalk360 we have 1 dashboard with all the EDI for our complete application portfolio.
This helps us in troubleshooting and reviewing all our EDI.

  ### 23. Great monitoring tool for Biztalk Server

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Monitoring features of this product are very nice. BizTalk360 can monitor everything in an BizTalk environment. I'm alerted on each environment health check notification and the auto-correction feature is also great to prevent longer service/port/receive location crushes .

I like also the monitoring of Azure Service Bus Queues for hybrid environment.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

I'd like to monitor also some Azure service bus entities like Topics.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Be pro-actif to resolve platefrome issues

  ### 24. Great tool for monitoring the Biztalk environment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2020

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Great consideration taken to lay out the UI for all functional use cases, from development to troubleshooting, and administrative activities.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The Alarm mapping has always seemed more challenging than necessary, but with time and increased familiarity it's become easy enough to master and leverage the capability.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

N/A

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the moment alerts to integration issues and/or degradation of system dependencies.

  ### 25. Big help for a solo admin

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie W. | Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

As a solo BizTalk admin, BizTalk360 was a big help in a few areas

- Eliminate the need for daily multi-server remote sessions, since the BizTalk360 portal is able to give me just about everything I need to know about my BizTalk environments as well as server health (SQL Servers too)

- Monitoring of applications and host instances

- Gave my devs and analysts read-only access to production configuration/settings for BizTalk

- Gave manamgent a dashboard so they can check for analystics and outages

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Not so much dislike, but it does a lot which also means there is a lot to learn. I had to give training sessions to my users who had zero familiarity with the stock admin console.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a while my out-of-the-box BAM portal became unavailable and we used the BizTalk360 BAM portal and actually never looked back.

  ### 26. Happy using BT360

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** D V. | Sr. Application Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Providing our ServiceTeams with operator abilities so they don't have to use BizTalk Administrator console is one of the biggest benefits. The second is the monitoring function so teams get alerts on specified events.
Support from Kovai is very friendly and has the customer in mind, which is good. We are looking into the possibitliy of integrating our automated deployment of BizTalk applications ( using BizTalk Deployment Framework ( BTDF ) ) with using the API, so for example SendPorts and receive locations can be added to Alarms automatically.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The BT360 web GUI does not completely replace the BizTalk Admin console when it comes to drilling down to messages. Also there is a considerable learning curve regarding the concept of Alarm Groups and mapping those. Analytics could be improved, e.g. a max of 10 metrics for a custom alert is somewhat limiting.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are improving security by reducing the number of administrators who need to log in on the BizTalk servers or use the Admin console. Also , they dont need to become member of BiztalkAdministrators group. Our Application administrators can stop/start BizTalk applications themselves.

  ### 27. A great tool for your BizTalk environment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David B. | Technical Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

The monitoring capabilities of BizTalk360 provide tremendous value to us. We had tried utilizing SCOM and the BizTalk management pack, but it proved to be too tedious to configure it, and using the default settings was not acceptable due to the excessive alerting it would generate. The ability for BizTalk360 to take the current state of a system and auto-configure itself to recognize that as the healty state of your artifacts is a tremendous time saver. The fact that you can also configure BizTalk360 to alert when a condition has cleared is great for momentary events.

Another benefit that BizTalk360 provides that SCOM does not is the ability to correct problems automatically when they occur. We had written several custom PowerShell scripts to address such items as restarting host instances or receive locations, but BizTalk360 can handle that natively with just a couple of settings.

Our administrators like the ability it gives them to perform their tasks (such as resuming suspended messages) without having to use the BizTalk console or logging into the servers. The granularity of access control in BizTalk360 is far greater than what the Operator role is capable of providing via the BizTalk console, enabling new team members to familiarize themselves with our environment while they are learning without the concern that they may accidentally change the state of something. The improved security this access control provides is another great benefit.

Finally, the attention that the BizTalk360 team gives to their product and their customers is refreshing. The product is constantly improving with new versions being provided on a regular cycle and with fixes being provided in a very prompt manner.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Because there is so much functionality in the product, it can be a bit overwhelming for a new user to absorb it all. Further expansion of the available training materials would be helpful.

In order to separate critical systems and different load profiles, we have a number of BizTalk production instances. Being able to compare the BizTalk360 configurations across them would be helpful for confirming consistency and identify variances in our monitoring rules.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

You'll be hard pressed to find a better product for monitoring BizTalk.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of our integration flows are very time sensitive, such that if the initiating message does not arrive within the expected window, our business team needs to be notified so they can take compensating action. The ability for BizTalk360 to send notifications in these situations has been critical to addressing this.

  ### 28. Great tool for bringing monitoring together

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

We already have a number of systems for logging and monitoring our BizTalk estate including PowerShell, BizTalk Health Monitor, BAM and custom logging components. BizTalk 360 has allowed us to bring this tools together under one roof whilst also presenting it in a easy to read manner. We have over 50 applications and being able to provide tailored monitoring to each of the relevant teams is useful. Knowledgebase feature is particularly helpful in recording notes against errors should reoccurences happen.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The alarms and mappings can be a little tricky to get right the first time which is where you create the notifications to alert people and match those with artifacts to monitor. Some of the BizTalk tools cannot be replaced such as the admin console and the rule composer as they aren't as full featured but as time goes on I'm sure these will be improved.

A useful feature to have would be some sort of integration with TFS for build and releasing as well as some of the tools of BTDF. We use BTDF SSO heavily for securiely storing configuration to reduce the amount of deployments. Having this in the console would enable us to provide business users with the ability to update configuration without the intervention of an administrator

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems we wanted 360 to solve were monitoring based which it has done very well. But it has also helped with mapping out the components of an application and how they fit together and aiding in our documentation.

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Various monitoring features, alarms, dashboards, message handling, easy report part etc.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Nothing as such but I think some more features can be provided related to may be report part.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

Go for it, excellent tool for monitoring purpose

  ### 31. A fantastic addition to our integration landscape

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeroen M. | Integration Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

We really like what BizTalk360 offers out of the box. Our biggest benefits are the auto-healing of artifacts, the possibility to link triggered alarms to external applications (Slack, Microsoft Teams, custom), the automatic refresh on artifact status, knowledge base and audit trail.

The knowledge base in particular provides us with invaluable knowledge sharing capabilities. This allows our support squad to solve any suspended artifacts quickly and efficiently without needing to consult the developers.
The auto-healing capabilities of the product also reduce the need for support to intervene in the first place. Especially out of business hours we have noticed a substantial positive impact.
The event viewer is another big advantage. Seeing the events of all nodes in one overview has proven to be a valuable addition to our monitoring capabilities.

We’ve contacted BizTalk360 support several times. Response time and feedback has been excellent every single time.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Analysis is done based on tracking data. As we don’t track all messaging, this feature’s usability is greatly reduced in our case. Another data source for analysis would be welcomed.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

If you are currently exploring options to improve your monitoring capabilities on your BizTalk environment, we can warmly recommend BizTalk360. It’s easy to set up and the dev team really listens to its customers when exploring new features to develop.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve managed to improve our uptime and as such have reduced negative impact on our business to an absolute minimum. In addition to this, we spend less time on operations and more time developing new integration solutions.

  ### 32. Great tool for Integration monitoring & providing visibility to health of applications and platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2019

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

It's been extremely helpful to get the alerts for health of the platform and accessibility to one portal to view the various logs and exceptions that are occurring. It helps us provide insight to our user base so they have the ability to view what is happening in their applications, without the need to contact Administrators. It helps them solve their own problems.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

We use the Exception Database a lot and we use the monitoring capabilities to alert users/application owners of exceptions that are occurring. There are certain limitations regarding what can be queried, which has required us to get creative with our query sets. There is also a limitation on terminating dehydrated instances, which is something we would find useful.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With so many various groups being responsible for applications it has been extremely helpful to have a single interface for people to use and still be able to meet the other required access level permissions.
It has helped other teams solve issues quickly and focus on their other work.

  ### 33. Great tool for allowing specific users visibility to specific applications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

It's great being able to fine tune access to applications based on the needs and responsibilities of the user. Very valuable when you have 50 applications managed by about a dozen different teams. It fills in the huge gap between the BizTalk Administrator and BizTalk Operator roles available through the BizTalk Console.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Haven't used the Analytics part very much. The Windows service seems to consume a lot of CPU, but doesn't gather much info. It may just be that, as I new user (about a year), I don't know how to configure the Analytics part of function properly, but, at this point, it's not very useful at this point.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With so many teams in our company being responsible for BizTalk apps, it's valuable to be able to give each team the appropriate level of access only to their application. It allows each team to focus just on the apps they have responsibility for and prevents the possibility that one team will, by mistake, affect another team's app.

  ### 34. BizTalk 360 is a great product to have to help support your BizTalk Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

There are several features that we like:

1) The ability to secure different applications to their respective support teams.

2)	The granularity of how security can be applied. For example, one support team should not be able to terminate messages for their application, but another one may have the requirement to do so.

3)	Recently in our company we separated out the support of the BizTalk applications apart from the BizTalk platform. BT360 allows the application teams to support the applications without the need for Administrator rights to the BizTalk Servers.

4)	The ability to customize your own dashboard so you can immediately see the health of the applications and the data that you are most interested in.

5)	The monitoring capability of BT360 – for example, the ability for BT360 to restart host instances if for any reason any of them stop running. Another great example is the ability to set an alarm if a particular application has too many running messages. This can be a great alarm that something is amiss and may need to throttle the messages to prevent the server from hanging up.

6)	How BT360 and BT health monitor can be integrated together. Though we haven’t set it up ourselves yet, we have it on our list to look into.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The inability to export data, especially for what AD groups have access to for security purposes. Once in a while it seems that we lose what a particular application was set to and would be nice to export that data as backup so we could restore it.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

It’s a great tool to allow teams access to some administration functions, but not granting administration access to the server. We also used to have powershell scripts running to ensure BT Host instances/send/receive ports were all enabled. This product monitors all of that for us and re-enables them.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability for Application Development teams to support themselves while not being administrators to the servers. The benefit of preventing outages from the monitoring.

  ### 35. BizTalk360 - USEFUL TOOL

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

BizTalk 360 is very user friendly for both Technical and business people. Easy to track things on the platform.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Throttling Analyzer is not properly working sometimes as during our platform issue its not getting captured where we need to run BHM manually.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

NA

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auto-Healing
Data Monitoring
process Monitoring
Host Instances tracking

  ### 36. Intuitive BizTalk Monitoring and Administration with fine-grain access policy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andreas D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

We are in the midst of building a quite complex BizTalk platform, with a great number of BizTalk-Applications and even more Ports and Host instances. At the same time we have a lot of new releases on the platform almost every day, which are being tested right away by a big team. BizTalk360 allows us to make sure, that all necessary components in BizTalk are started or stopped, as the desired state is configured within BizTalk360 so the automated deployment and testing works as desired. Also the very easy-to-implement 'suspended message monitoring' is a great help, which allows us not to look at the BizTalk Console all the time.
Also the ability to monitor "BizTalk as a whole", meaning the inclusion of SQL-Server environment, Consolidated Event-Log entries and even resources of the individual machines are very helpful and easy to understand.
The best part for me personally is the ability to show message flows graphically, to understand which ports and orchestration are included in a particular interface, even beyond the borders of a single BizTalk Application. This helps to track items in a very complex environment, even for a non-BizTalk-developer.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Although the inclusion of SQL-Server platform monitoring in BizTalk360 is a great help, the limitation to a maximum of 2 SQL-Servers hurts us in our highly available environment, spread over 9 SQL-Servers. I am hoping for an increase of this restriction in the future, to include all primary and secondary SQL-Server in our environment.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We tried implementing SCOM-monitoring before we looked at BizTalk360. Now I can say with certainty: Although SCOM would be capable of monitoring almost everything that BizTalk360 does, BizTalk360 does it almost out-of-the box while SCOM would take dozens of hours (or possibly hundreds for a SCOM-newbie like me) to get even close. Also if you are confronted with a diverse environment, BizTalk360 allows you to set very fine-grain access policies for monitoring and administration, which is just not possible in native BizTalk. And all this without anyone besides sysadmin having local access rights to BizTalk server or SQL-Server. This also allows us to have application specialists without much BizTalk-knowledge administering their interfaces in BizTalk360, without them admin rights to any actual BizTalk components.

  ### 37. BizTalk360 great monitoring tool for supporting BizTalk

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

We use this product mainly for monitoring by production support.
So that we can timely respond to failures and suspended messages.
Production support without much knowledge in BizTalk can use to resume or start or stop any receive or send locations based on the scenarios.
Auto correction function is really helping us during network issues or outage issues.

Advanced event viewer helps the production team a lot.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The product does have a learning curve, Some of the terminology was a little confusing like alarm.
But with help of support articles it is easy.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

I would highly recommend this product. For a very fair price, it give more features, which is useful for no BizTalk users.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Production support can use this without developer getting involved.

  ### 38. Effective Monitoring Tool

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

The ability to monitor the biztalk services remotely and the flexible alert features are very impressive

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

It would be helpful if API calls are integrated with the package

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are proactivly able to trigger actions based on alerts

  ### 39. Just getting started...

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

We are new to BizTalk and 360 so are just learning both products. So we are still at the configuration stage of 360 and are yet to use it in a production environment. When purchasing BizTalk we thought of 360 as a must buy product to be able to support and manage BizTalk effectively.

It is quick and easy to set up alarms and navigate through the BizTalk environment.

I think the custom dashboards will be very useful and it's good to have more control over user permissions.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Some of the terminology was a little confusing to start with e.g. an alarm is really the configuration of the channel and actual notification/alarm is configured in the mapping of that. But that's just because it was new and didn't seem obvious at first. Once understood it's really straight forward.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we get to production we see BizTalk 360 as the go to tool for supporting our applications and will also be able to aid during deployments of other external applications.

  ### 40. BizTalk 360 is a great monitoring product and operation tool for Biztalk.

  ### 44. BizTalk 360 new user Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

My company has been using BizTalk 360 for about 2 months now. We use it to monitor our prod and pre-prod environments. One thing that we like best is the security and auditing. It goes well above and beyond what the Admin console can offer.

Another feature that we like is the expected state monitoring of ports and hosts. It is very useful for connections outside our network that drop due to connection failure as BizTalk 360 can auto enable/disable based on the expected state you have configured in BizTalk 360.

It also provides great monitoring on some of the little aspects you may forget to check as a BizTalk admin such as SQL Job status. You can configure email alerts on many different items within BizTalk making administration significantly more streamlined.

Since the app does have a learning curve, the support is tremendous. Having access to BizTalk360 support articles straight from the platform is a good feature. The support staff are also very responsive to emails of questions you may have.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

The product does have a bit of a learning curve. We have found that not everything is where you would expect it to be upon first looking. But between support articles and support staff it is easy to figure out your problems.

Another dislike we have is that it hasnt completely erased our need to have access to the BizTalk admin console because you can not make configuration changes from BizTalk 360. Our admins will be the same users who make config changes to ports/bindings so they still need access to biztalk sql server.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

I would highly recommend this product. For a very fair price, it gives you many more features granted by the Admin console alone. You will not be able to replace the admin console entirely, but the benefit is substantial. The email/text alerts are a great feature along with the audit/security logs it provides. You will be able to see everything that goes on in the application. BizTalk 360 gives you an easy way to give business users visibility into their application. No longer do you need to worry about who can see what as BizTalk 360 allows you to select permissions based solely on application.

In short, once the small learning curve is over, BizTalk 360 is a must have for any company who is using and relying on Microsoft BizTalk.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One business problem is not having an audit trail when a port was enabled/disabled etc. This has greatly helped us in solving issues and troubleshooting.

Another business problem BizTalk 360 helps us solve is allowing business users some visibility into their applications. Using BizTalk 360, business users can see their respective application and it's status. They no longer have to send a file, wait some time, then email the middleware team. The user can log into BizTalk 360 and check their message status or application status. It helps streamline their testing by getting this visibility into the application they are linked to.

  ### 45. BizTalk monitoring made easy

Monitoring of BizTalk environments is made easy with BizTalk360. With alams for day to day actions we have control of our message flows. Automatic recovery is very handy. BizTalk360 automates some of the regular repetetive tasks for developers

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Setting it up initially can be tricky as there are so many ways you can use it.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

Compare similar products and see if it is the right one for your needs.d

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Regular and daily ICC-team related actions like starting, stopping applications. Manage messages (mostly resume) that causes issues

  ### 46. Great Admin and Monitoring tool for BizTalk

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

Ability to manage granular access on BizTalk artifacts
Monitoring capabilities
Artifact search
Intuitive user experience
Ability to export and import configurations between environments

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Some minor UI glitches (like missing horizontal scroll bar while viewing longer lists)
Nice to have contextual help to explore features instantly
Alarm and monitoring set up is not very intuitive initially and need little hands-on to familiarize

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

Must have tool for any medium to large size BizTalk implementations

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to easily manage access to multiple BizTalk environments
Extensive alarm configuration capabilities help us quickly find any Infrastructure or BizTalk related issues

  ### 47. Good Product but for non-BizTalk users only, long way to mature

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2018

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

1. Provides a web based platform and removes the necessity to log-into a PROD environment
2. Access is controlled, provides auditing facility
3. The visual tracking & drill down features are self explanatory and easy to use
4. Removes the dependency on an Admin user to provide simple details (e.g. access to event logs, artifacts etc.)
5. Consolidates everything related to BizTalk in single portal

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

1. Analytics is pretty basic, without a provision to drill down and show what constitutes the graph there is little value it adds.
2. Page rendering is very slow especially the Monitoring/ESB dashboards. If you have large number of monitors configured, these pages can take several minutes to refresh.
3. Alerting features can be improved. For example - BT360 cannot write a event log when a alert is triggered unless sending email is success.
4. Integration to HP OMI/SNOW should be out of the box.
5. Searching criteria are not designed keeping business scenarios in mind. For example there is no way to search the list of ESB Exceptions by selecting a Service Name. Unnecessary intelligence is built in the search criteria, which does nothing but creating confusion. Another example you cannot search by multiple fault codes, range of fault codes etc.
6. Monitoring on the ESB Exception is too high level. There is no way to search by Service Name. No search can be done using context properties where we capture important details like Order Number.
7. Artifact selection section in the Analytics screen is crap. It clearly shows that no appropriate level of UAT done.
8. Search results in Display grids are poorly designed. You cannot expand the screen comfortably without getting annoyed. Each time we had to download the search results.
9. No Import/Export features for Analytics & Operations, If you have 50 dashboards in one environment you will need to recreate in another.
10. Troubleshooting the tool is a nightmare.
11. The support team is very much responsive but lacks the understanding of business problems (it may not be applicable to everyone, could be just our experience)

Overall the product require a good level of inputs from "Real Industry Users".
The Idea behind the product is certainly great and innovative, but a long way to ride before maturing.

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

Think carefully of what you need from this product, and then evaluate it according to your specific needs.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To be honest nothing much yet. Hoping in future when our BizTalk Support team grows some members may use it to drill down. We have to carefully plan who should be end users of this tool.

**Official Response from Saravana Kumar:**

Answers to some of your dislikes
#1. Analytics is pretty basic: We have a bit of coverage for BizTalk Environment analytics, here is our documentation showing the full capabilities. https://docs.biztalk360.com/docs/getting-started-1. Out of the box we provide a lot of widgets that are useful, you can also build your own custom widgets. We do not have the ability to drill down, but you can have a wide variety of information widgets.

#3: Writing to the event log: This should work in spite of email success since they are treated as different notification channels if in case it's a bug we can fix it.

#4: HPOM/ServiceNow Integration: We cannot do the configuration out of the box since the customer needs to configure their credentials and ticketing requirements.

#2,#5, #6: Looks like you are a heavy user of ESB exception and the alerting capabilities we have, we recently added more filter options to the query builder. We also have some limitation in terms of what data is available to us, since we are dependant on the BizTalk ESB Toolkit framework. Happy to have a conversation and see if we can address any of your challenges.

#7, #8: Looks like some usability challenges, if you can provide more details via support, happy to take it forward.

#9: Import/Export for Analytics: Having 50 dashboards is awesome, looks like you are heavily using the analytics and reporting capabilities of the product. We are improving the import/export capabilities, so far we have alarms, monitoring, and users. In the next version 8.9, we are adding knowledge base, dashboards, and reports to the import/export.

"Long way to ride before maturing": We are trying our best, in the last 6 years we have released over 50 versions of the product and still have about 250+ items on our public backlog http://feedback.biztalk360.com/forums/331695-biztalk360-operations we are constantly adding new releases about 3-4 per year with 4-5 features per release.

  ### 48. A must have for a mature BizTalk environment

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

I like how everything I need to view and administer is accessible in one lightweight web portal. The BizTalk Admin Console is slow and clunky. BizTalk360 with its modern looking GUI is pleasing to the eyes and breath of fresh air when compared to the old boring BT Admin Console.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Not much that I dislike. The API requires some knowledge of JavaScript, which can be a little tedious if your not familiar with the language.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dashboards are key. People are now able to obtain information about an integration without reaching out to Ops team directly.

  ### 49. Great product which could become even more valuable with more features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

BTS 360 offers us much more granular security than the standard admin console.

It allows us some autonomy from the infrastructure teams. Once installed we can configure & use the product as a business tool independently from requesting SCOM monitoring from the infrastructure teams. Additionally, we are able to set-up cross-cutting monitoring that would otherwise require liaising with multiple teams within the infrastructure group (OS, IIS, SQL, etc).

We can see the status of the platform (Windows, SQL, etc) without having to give rights to individuals to the underlying servers.

The visual tracking & drilldown features are intuitive and useful and provides a much clearer understanding of message flow.

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

Note: most of these comments are about future improvements.

The product has a large learning curve, especially for anyone with an extensive history of using the standard admin console and – the classification of operations / monitoring / analytics can be confusing. The understanding of creating & mapping alarms also takes some getting used to and it's easy to map an alarm to the wrong application.

We had hoped to remove the standard admin console and revoke all access via the standard BizTalk Administrators AD group – we had mistakenly assumed that BTS 360 replicated all the functionality of the standard admin console. However, BTS 360 does not offer the platform configuration functionality that we need, the most important omissions for us being unable to import / export bindings or change / create ports.

I think that there is an opportunity for adding more value when using the tracking tools, at the moment it seems to be just a web façade on top of the standard BizTalk library. In particular when building queries I would like to see all the filter values pre-populated rather than just replicating the standard admin console; e.g. when building a 'Tracked Service Instances' query the values for 'Assembly Name', 'Service Name', etc. could be pre-populated in the same way that they are for 'Host Name' rather than forcing the user to manually enter the name.

Additionally, we develop our dashboards & alarms in a staging environment & then these need to be moved to a separate installation of BizTalk 360 in our production environment. Support for export / import of alarms, dashboards, queries, etc would be useful.

SQL Server monitoring. Our BizTalk databases run on a SQL Server Failover Cluster instance. The monitoring of these clustered instances was lacking in functionality/accuracy so we are not using that functionality. This could be improved,

**Recommendations to others considering BizTalk360:**

Plan on setting aside a significant familiarisation / training period; especially if your staff are already familiar with the standard BizTalk Admin console.

Do not expect (yet?) to completely replace the standard admin console as BizTalk 360 does not provide the platform configuration functionality.

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem that we are trying to solve is having to give BizTalk administrator permissions to operational & testing staff. We haven't yet managed to achieve this because of the missing platform configuration functionality. However we have gained significant improvements in our general monitoring capability.

As the BizTalk is a hosted service, BT360 helps provide our clients with monitoring access to their application without giving them direct administrative access to the production environment.

  ### 50. Strong improvement on the built in toolset

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about BizTalk360?**

- Intuitive interface
- Easy to use monitoring/operations
- Quick support
- Well documented
- API access should overcome most the out-of-the-box shortcomings

**What do you dislike about BizTalk360?**

- The licensing model is restrictive for a large number of development environments
- No out-of-the-box solution for managing multiple environments effectively (no export/import functionality for the configuration)

**What problems is BizTalk360 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring is the primary reason we purchased BizTalk360. With this product, we will be able to get alerts based on thresholds, and based on non-events. Two big things we cannot do right now.

Operations is a nice bonus, the product should allow our team to save time and effort by automating some operation actions, and by including a knowledge base easily accessible from the problem service instances/events.
