## About Bitwarden
Bitwarden is an open source password manager for individuals, teams, and enterprise organizations. Ranked first in Enterprise User Satisfaction on the G2 Enterprise Grid for eleven consecutive quarters, Bitwarden stores, generates, autofills, and shares credentials and passkeys using end-to-end AES-256 bit encryption. Bitwarden is a zero-knowledge encryption solution, meaning only the user can access vault data. The Bitwarden source code is publicly available on GitHub and undergoes regular third-party security audits, covering penetration testing, cryptographic analysis, and source code review. Bitwarden is SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and Data Privacy Framework (DPF) compliant. Manage passwords and passkeys - Generate and store strong, unique passwords and passkeys, saved securely across unlimited devices. - Access credentials from anywhere, on any device - Bitwarden offers multiple client options including desktop, mobile, browser, web, and command-line interface (CLI). - Autofill makes it fast and secure to seamlessly log in to websites and apps across devices. Monitor and reduce credential risk - Real-time vault health alerts surface weak, reused, or exposed passwords - Bitwarden Access Intelligence identifies shadow IT and at-risk credentials across an organization, with guided remediation workflows at scale. - Turn on multifactor authentication (MFA) for vault login using a time-based one-time password (TOTP) app or security key. The standalone Bitwarden Authenticator app also generates TOTP codes for any account or service that supports authenticator-based two-factor authentication (2FA). - Exportable event logs provide transparency into user activity around sensitive data within an organization vault. Enterprise integrations and deployment - Bitwarden deploys in both cloud-based and on-premises environments, including self-hosted options for full data sovereignty. - Directory Connector and System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) integration streamline user and group onboarding with automatic account provisioning and deprovisioning across Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, and LDAP-based directories. - Bitwarden connects to existing tech stacks with single sign-on (SSO), APIs, and CLI automations, and feeds event logs directly into security operations platforms including Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Rapid7, and Elastic. Share encrypted information at scale - Use organization collections to share credentials securely. - Vault items are owned by the organization, not individual employees, enabling full credential lifecycle management. - Transmit encrypted information, text, and attachments to anyone via a secure, randomly generated link through Bitwarden Send.

## Bitwarden Reviews
  ### 1. Secure, diverse, easy to use, but Unsure of Full Potential

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

Easy to navigate, reliable and secure. Very easy to understand how to use

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Full feature list unknown to me, so I feel like I'm not using its fullest potential. Features could be highlighted

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Secure transfer of files in a quick and easy method. Useful for cross-company transfer with security protocols

  ### 2. Ease of Use Across Platforms, But Auto-Fill Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marlene R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I like the ease of use of Bitwarden. I can use it on more than one device, which makes my experience much better. I also appreciate how it helps me not forget passwords and suggests strong passwords.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Auto-fill sometimes does not fill in the login and password fields.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitwarden to remember passwords and it solves the problem of forgetting them, as well as suggesting strong passwords.

  ### 3. Easy way to manage passwords online securely

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark Anthony E. | Website Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

It is a free tool that I discovered that helped me manage my passwords securely online. I can use it across my devices (e.g., laptop, desktop, and even on my mobile phone) without experiencing any inconvenience.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

There is no option to bulk delete passwords via the Chrome extension interface. You have to log in to the web app to perform this task. Considering that I mostly use the Chrome extension interface, having this feature there would be nice.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Memorizing multiple passwords is almost impossible now, considering the number of applications each person has online. You must make sure to keep all these accounts secure by having different passwords to avoid getting hacked. Having Bitwarden makes this an easier task because you only need to memorize your main password, and the rest can be saved on the tool.

  ### 4. Glitchy Chrome Plugin Detracts from Bitwarden's Security Features

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph B. | Volunteer Central and South America Team Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I like being able to share the passwords with the team and having access to a shared passwords folder for key company accounts. It makes it easier to collaborate.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

The Chrome plugin is glitchy and interacts with parts of the experience it shouldn't, causing problems. The initial setup was okay, but not as easy as Google or Apple passwords.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bitwarden for storing and logging passwords, sharing them with my team, enabling a single sign-on experience, and ensuring security.

  ### 5. Reliable, Secure, and Easy-to-Use Password Management with Bitwarden

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

Bitwarden delivers strong security, open‑source transparency, and solid cross‑platform support at a fair price. I’ve found it reliable and easy to use across devices, and it covers all the core password‑management needs without fuss.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

The interface feels a little less polished than some competitors, and the autofill feature can occasionally require manual input on certain websites.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bitwarden securely stores and manages my passwords, helping me avoid reuse and weak credentials. It strengthens my security while also saving time by centralizing access across my devices and tools.

  ### 6. Excellent autofill and impeccable password organization

Automatic password field filling, with programmable links. A format that allows organizing folders and passwords within the App. User control and password sharing are also very good. I use it every day and have never had problems, it is also very easy to configure and replicate. It integrates easily with various apps and devices, as the app has never caused me problems, I have never had to use support.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

I have nothing to complain about Bitwarden at the moment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Bitwarden?**

I like the MFA and passkey flow particularly, and greatly value the ability to self host in closed environments

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

Autofill can be finicky, with both form detection and content filling itself running into issues. Ideally we could assign fields by element as a supplemental tool, in a similar manner to Ublock Origin

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Other than secret management and the inherent time savings, bitwarden cli saves me a massive amount of time performing password audits and rotations. I heard that secret rotation is coming in the future which i am quite excited for

It’s an all-in-one solution that generates passwords and can be hosted locally.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more passwords. I can create passkeys or simply generate a password, so I don’t have to remember them or keep using unsafe accounts.

I love the security of not having to remember all my passwords—just one. Plus, having integrated 2FA right within the platform makes everything so much easier.

**What do you dislike about Bitwarden?**

When using the app, it doesn't always recognize the password fields. Sometimes I have to manually open the app and search for the password instead of relying on autofill.

**What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is the security of my accounts, both professional and personal. I can rest assured they’re safe and don't have to worry about my credentials being leaked by the platform.

I like that Bitwarden allows me to organize credentials and MFA into folders and collections, which helps keep everything in a single app. This organization makes it easy to manage access for specific groups and users within my team. Also, the initial setup was really easy and practical, making it convenient to start using.
