"Clean Design, Seamless iOS Autofill, and Helpful Built-In Security Alerts"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

The clean design makes it easy to sort and quickly find specific login details, even when I’m dealing with a massive list of project folders. On mobile, everything syncs smoothly with iOS autofill without dropping the connection, which makes day-to-day use feel seamless. I also appreciate the proactive security alerts about weak keys built right into the free tier, since that adds genuinely practical value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

It’s a bit frustrating that deeper infrastructure audits and more comprehensive security reporting tools are still locked behind the premium subscription tier. If those vulnerability-tracking logs were available at the base level, it would be much easier to manage long-term data security monitoring and keep everything consistently tracked over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

It replaces the risky, cluttered habit of relying on unencrypted spreadsheets—or even memory—to track hundreds of corporate system keys. By allowing us to generate and store high-entropy, unique credentials on the fly, it simplifies platform access while helping ensure our project data stays structurally protected. "The Best Open-Source Password Manager for Mid-Market"

4/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

In our mid-sized organization, my primary use case for Bitwarden is to establish a secure, centralized vault for all our sensitive company data. As a Security Engineer, I use it not just for standard employee web logins, but for securely storing database credentials, API tokens, and SSH keys that our DevOps and IT teams share on a daily basis. We also heavily utilize the Bitwarden Directory Connector to synchronize with our existing Azure AD setup. This ensures that our password management is seamlessly integrated with our broader identity and access management strategy, allowing us to provision and de-provision users automatically. What stands out the most is the undeniable transparency of its open-source architecture. Knowing the code is regularly audited by third-party security firms gives me a lot of peace of mind. From an administrative standpoint, the Role-Based Access Control via 'Collections' is incredibly granular. I can create specific shared vaults for the HR team and completely different, highly restricted vaults for the server admins. Another massive plus for my technical team is the Bitwarden CLI. Our developers love being able to fetch secrets programmatically without ever leaving their terminals. On top of all this, the enterprise pricing is extremely competitive. We get premium security features, including advanced 2FA options like YubiKey support and detailed event logs for compliance, at a fraction of the cost of competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

Despite the rock-solid security, the platform isn't without its flaws, mostly centered around the overall user experience. The desktop and web interfaces are highly functional but feel quite dated and clunky compared to the more polished UI of other modern password managers. While my tech-savvy teams do not mind this at all, getting non-technical departments like Sales or Marketing to adopt it requires a bit of hand-holding and extra training during onboarding. Additionally, the browser extension's autofill functionality can be a bit hit-or-miss. It sometimes struggles with multi-page login forms or websites that use complex iframes. Users often have to manually open the extension, copy the password, and paste it, which creates minor friction in their daily workflow. I would also love to see better native, automated password rotation features for our server credentials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest problem Bitwarden solved for us was eliminating shadow IT and the absolute nightmare of password sharing via Slack channels or local Excel sheets. Before implementing this, tracking who had access to which company account was nearly impossible. Now, the admin console provides a clear, auditable trail of every login event, which has been crucial for passing our internal security audits. A very practical example is our employee offboarding process. In the past, ensuring an exiting employee no longer had access to third-party cloud tools was a huge security gap. Now, because Bitwarden is tied to our directory, disabling their main account instantly revokes their access to the entire company vault. Furthermore, the 'Bitwarden Send' feature has been a game-changer when we work with external penetration testers. We can securely share temporary server credentials using links that automatically expire after a few hours, ensuring there is zero lingering access once their testing is complete. "Smooth Chrome Extension Integration and Seamless Cross-Device Credential Sharing"

5/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

The integration with the Chrome extension is exceptionally smooth, which makes it very straightforward to log credentials on the fly. I also love being able to access everything seamlessly across different devices without any friction. That said, the real standout for me is how easily our team can manage credential histories and securely share specific accounts when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

I haven’t had any major issues with the platform’s core performance. The only minor bottleneck came during the initial onboarding: it took me a brief moment of trial and error to fully grasp how some of the video-based tutorials were structured around vault sharing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

It completely streamlines the way we manage credential sharing and sensitive records across our collaborative team. Instead of dealing with fragmented information or manual tracking, it guarantees that any updated access key is instantly synchronized for everyone authorized to use it, preventing operational delays and making cross-team collaboration much more secure. "Instant Auto-Fill, Strong Password Generator, and Reliable Search"

5/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

The auto-fill feature is impressively responsive, so I can access and use my credentials almost instantly. I also depend a lot on the built-in generator to create unique keys, and the search bar never fails when I need to bring up an obscure login quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

The pop-up prompt to update saved credentials keeps triggering constantly, even when I’m just filling out a standard form field that isn’t related to a password change. On top of that, managing and moving bulk permission groups in the admin panel feels clumsy and awkward. Also, losing access immediately if a billing cycle hits even a minor processing delay is a major headache. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

It completely eliminated our old, risky habit of tracking sensitive business credentials in shared spreadsheets. With granular access controls, it keeps our team secure while still giving us instant access to the exact logins we need, without putting company data at risk. "Reliable, Secure, and Free Password Manager with Fast Autofill"

5/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

What I like best about Bitwarden is how reliable and secure the password vault is while remaining completely free for personal use. The browser extensions and mobile apps make autofill extremely fast and accurate, which has saved me a lot of time compared to other managers. I especially appreciate the open-source nature and the ability to self-host if needed, plus the clean, no-nonsense interface that doesn’t push constant upsells. The family and organization sharing features also work seamlessly when I need to share credentials securely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

The main things I find less ideal are related to the user interface and occasional performance quirks. The web vault and browser extension feel a bit dated and less polished compared to some competitors — navigation can be clunky and the design doesn’t always feel modern. Autofill also isn’t 100% reliable on every website, which sometimes forces me to copy-paste manually and slows things down.

On the pricing side, while the free tier is excellent, some useful features (like emergency access, advanced 2FA options, or file attachments) require a Premium subscription, which can feel limiting if you want the full experience without upgrading.

These aren’t deal-breakers, but improving the UI modernization and making autofill more consistent would make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Bitwarden I was constantly dealing with password reuse, forgotten credentials, and the time-consuming process of resetting accounts. Managing logins across work and personal accounts felt messy and insecure.

Bitwarden solved this by giving me a single, encrypted vault that syncs across all my devices. Now I can generate strong unique passwords for every site, autofill them instantly, and share credentials securely when needed. This has significantly reduced the number of password-related support tickets and account lockouts I used to face.

The biggest benefits are better security (no more weak or repeated passwords) and real time savings — I no longer waste minutes searching for or resetting logins multiple times a week. The free tier also delivers excellent ROI since I get enterprise-level password management without any cost for personal use.

"Reliable Security and Sharing with Bitwarden"

4/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

I like Bitwarden because it helps me keep my security keys, such as AWS keys, safe and organized. The trust I have in storing my passwords in it saves me from carrying them in notepads or in Notion. The device sharing feature is excellent, because what I put on my computer, I can also access on my phone, without any hassle. Additionally, the auto-fill is quite convenient, because when I go to log in somewhere, I just need to click the button and the passwords are already filled in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

I find the insertion of already existing keys problematic. For example, there should be an integration to import keys from Notion, but there isn't. It would be useful to have an exclusive option, a button to import from Notion, and a tutorial on how to download the keys and send them to Bitwarden. Additionally, the initial setup process was a bit complicated, but I managed to resolve it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Bitwarden for key security, avoiding storing them in insecure places like notepads. It provides me with secure access between devices, such as computer and mobile phone, and simplifies the management of my passwords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Password Management Made Easy"

5/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

I like how Bitwarden automatically recognizes the browser so I don’t have to go to the Bitwarden app to copy and paste passwords; they just appear automatically on the text fields. I also appreciate that I can have different folders or profiles, such as personal and work. The initial setup of Bitwarden was super easy, which was fantastic. Overall, I really prefer the easiness of Bitwarden compared to the alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

I sometimes have issues with Bitwarden recognizing apps. When I create an account on a website, it doesn't always get recognized on the app. It would be helpful if it could recognize the name of the app and match it with the name of the password entry, instead of relying solely on the URI. What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitwarden lets me use unique passwords without needing to remember them. It autofills passwords in my browser, and I can organize data into different folders for personal and work use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly, Proactive Support, Compliant with the GDPR"

5/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

A very user-friendly, fast and particularly intuitive interface. We particularly appreciated how easy it was to set up SCIM and SSO. Proactive support via highly targeted newsletters right from the start. We received guidance via email as we progressed through the configuration of the solution – a rather original ‘wizard’ format :) A highly responsive customer support team. We asked some fairly technical questions about password ownership when the “Centralise Organisation Ownership” option is enabled. The answers were clear and helped us to tailor our communication to our users. Finally, the invoicing module is very well designed, as any changes made immediately show the amount that will be invoiced Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

There’s nothing I don’t like about Bitwarden. However, it would be useful to be able to completely block the use of a personal vault. It would also be useful to be able to enforce the “Make Bitwarden your default password manager” option via a Microsoft Intune policy, for example, or via an automated deployment of the plugin Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

The two factors that led us to switch from the rival solution to Bitwarden were the price and ease of use, from the perspective of both the administrator and the end user Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps My Work Logins, Cards and Notes Well Organized"

5/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Bitwarden helps me keep all my work logins, cards, notes and account details in one secure place without making daily work complicated. i work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content for social media, awareness sessions and online teaching work, so i use many different work platforms daily for clinic records, educational content, online meetings, presentations, forms and communication work.

Bitwarden was easy to start using and setup also did not take much time. I use it daily during clinic work and content related work. Saving logins, organizing them in folders and finding accounts later feels simple and smooth. Browser extension and autofill feature saves good amount of time during busy work because login process becomes very fast on regular websites and work platforms.

one thing I really like is that I can also save cards, identity details, secure notes and other important records inside the vault. This helps me keep clinic related payment details, work information, content related accounts and important notes more organized from one place. Search feature is also helpful because when many accounts are saved, I can quickly find what I need without wasting time. performance has been smooth and vault loading speed is also good even after saving many accounts and records. Bitwarden does not feel heavy even with many features and it fits naturally into daily workflow. Customer support articles and setup guides were also useful whenever I needed help for small settings or security related things. overall, Bitwarden has been very practical for managing work accounts, cards, clinic related records, educational platforms and daily online work in a more secure and organized way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

browser autofill works well most of the time, but on some websites or login pages I still need to manually select the correct saved account. I also feel some advanced settings and security options can look little technical in the beginning for users who are not from IT background. Basic use is very simple, but understanding all security controls, vault settings and sharing permissions properly can take some time. Apart from these small things, performance has been good for my regular work and I did not face any major problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

bitwarden is helping me manage all my work related accounts, passwords, cards and important login details in a more organized and secure way. I use many different work platforms daily for clinic records, presentations, forms, meetings, educational content, communication work and online management tasks, so keeping account access properly managed is important during regular work. It helps me quickly access saved accounts without wasting time during clinic work or while handling content related tasks. Features like autofill, vault organization, password generator and secure notes makes daily workflow more smooth because I dont need to manually handle every login or remember different passwords for different work platforms.

Bitwarden also helps me keep work related cards, important notes and account details securely stored from one place. This is useful while managing clinic related work, educational projects and online tools together. Sync between browser and devices also helps because I can access important accounts easily whenever needed during work.

Another benefit is security and account management. Password health reports and two factor authentication support helps me maintain stronger security for important work accounts and educational platforms. Overall, Bitwarden helps make my daily online work more organized, secure and easier to manage without making things complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless and free integration for secure passwords and autocomplete in seconds"

5/5

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

The way it integrates with the browser or mobile makes it very easy to use on a daily basis. If I create a new account on a site, I can generate a secure password and save it very quickly. Additionally, filling in information is a process that is just a few clicks or taps away, and it becomes even easier thanks to how smooth its interface is. Being able to share information securely, like the WiFi password, is a nice addition. And all of this, for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

I don't have anything particularly serious to say in this section, it has been a very, very sweet experience, but it has its sour points.

I get the impression that the option to allow filling in information on the phone is a bit more hidden than I would like, so for a while I was using it "manually," entering the application, copying the information, and pasting it. Also, sometimes it doesn't detect forms correctly, so either it doesn't show the option to save data on some websites, or the autofill option doesn't appear. This, from what I've seen, happens more frequently on the phone and its applications.

I would like the mobile app to offer a simple option to manually add applications to the list of sites where to autofill, I imagine something like a search engine that shows all the applications installed on the device so you can search and choose the desired one. I don't like that the only alternatives are when the application itself offers it (which doesn't work quite well, as I've already mentioned), or searching for the package name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

In the past, remembering passwords was (and still is) difficult, especially with the minimum requirements imposed by websites. That's why I ended up writing them down on a piece of paper or using the same password (or some derivative), things that I hope are obvious problems to anyone reading this. Since I started using Bitwarden, that problem has become a thing of the past: not only do I have a place to store them securely, but I also no longer have to type them manually, which has greatly reduced the time it takes me to access sites.
