## Beekeeper Studio Reviews
  ### 1. Polished, Responsive SQL Client That Just Works on Linux

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dedit H. | Ruby on Rails Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Beekeeper Studio?**

As a Linux user, I’ve tried almost every SQL client out there, and Beekeeper Studio really stands out for how polished it feels. It’s extremely responsive and manages multiple connections across different engines (SQL Server, Postgres, SQLite) without any friction. The UI is modern, clean, and easy to navigate. I also appreciate how well it fits into the Linux ecosystem: I install it via AUR, and it simply works—straightforward interface, smooth setup, and no issues so far.

**What do you dislike about Beekeeper Studio?**

So far, I haven’t run into any issues. It works perfectly in my environment and was easy to integrate. At this point, I don’t have any dislikes or negative opinions about Beekeper Studio.

**What problems is Beekeeper Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Beekeeper provides a streamlined workflow that makes writing queries and exploring schemas genuinely enjoyable. It’s my go-to tool for daily database orchestration. I love Beekeeper and use the free community version, which gives me unlimited connections and unlimited tabs, so there’s no need to pay or subscribe. It’s amazing, and I really appreciate it.

  ### 2. Beekeeper has been a crucial part of our customer support team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara M. | Customer Support Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Beekeeper Studio?**

We’ve been using the Beekeeper Studio at our small tech company for several years now, and it has consistently exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, Beekeeper proved itself to be an indispensable tool for working with our SQL and Redshift databases.

Whether we're generating detailed customer reports for our most important clients or diving into transaction histories to troubleshoot data sync issues, Beekeeper has made every step seamless. It’s intuitive, fast, and reliable — three qualities that are often hard to find in one package.

Recently, we upgraded to the paid version, and we can confidently say it’s worth every single penny. The premium features have added even more depth and value to what was already a fantastic product. With Beekeeper, our team has been able to work more efficiently and respond faster to business-critical data inquiries.

Beekeeper is more than just a tool — it’s a core part of how we serve our clients and manage our data. Highly recommended for any team that needs powerful, flexible, and user-friendly database access.

**What do you dislike about Beekeeper Studio?**

The only thing I can say here is that they remind you to periodically upgrade to their newest version, which is not negative and perfectly normal behavior for any software. However, as someone who is typically apprehensive about upgrading to the latest version of anything, I was more aware of these generally timed gentle reminders to upgrade. LOL

**What problems is Beekeeper Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Beekeeper has been essential in helping us generate and download extensive custom reports for our largest clients — often involving millions of transactions and records. This capability has been critical to our success, allowing us to deliver the insights our clients need and ultimately helping us retain some of our most valuable long-term partnerships.

  ### 3. Simple and Effective SQL Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Beekeeper Studio?**

It lacks advanced features like query optimization tools and ER diagram support. Performance can lag with large datasets.

**What problems is Beekeeper Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Beekeeper Studio helps me manage and query my databases without needing expensive or overly complicated tools. Its clean and intuitive interface makes it easy for me to connect to different databases, write SQL queries, and visualize my data quickly. This saves me a lot of time and simplifies my workflow.

  ### 4. A Well-Rounded Open-Source SQL Editor with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Beekeeper Studio?**

Beekeeper Studio's biggest strength lies in its open-source nature and intuitive interface, making it accessible for both seasoned developers and beginners. The tool supports multiple databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite, with a clean, modern UI that simplifies query management. Features like query history, saved connections, and tab-based query organization enhance productivity. Additionally, it runs smoothly across platforms (Windows, macOS; i have tried on both), and its development community is active and responsive to feedback. which comes under customer support.
It is very easy to integrate db connections.

**What do you dislike about Beekeeper Studio?**

Performance can be sluggish with larger datasets, and advanced users may find it lacks some deeper functionalities found in competitors like DBeaver or TablePlus. Additionally, it doesn't natively support certain database-specific features, which can limit its use in more complex projects.

Sometimes we have to restart it when the query is too large, so it can't handle large queries. This is why i have switched to other tools like Postico2 and I use this less frequently like once or twice a month.

**What problems is Beekeeper Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Beekeeper Studio solves the problem of managing multiple databases with ease through a user-friendly, cross-platform interface. It simplifies querying, organizing connections, and handling database workflows, saving time and boosting productivity during backend development and debugging.
