It's the easiest software to use, and it's robust as well. It has a lot of nuanced features that I discover as I go along, from keyboard shortcuts to just a great editor. The ability to have folders and subfolders is really handy. Organizing different queries, views, and functions is simple and powerful, letting me find and recall what I need quickly. It makes jumping in and out of different databases or schemas easy, streamlining my development experience. It’s highly adaptable, connecting easily to a variety of databases like MySQL and Postgres, all in one place. The AI assistant on the side is also really handy for writing queries or troubleshooting, which adds a lot of value. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** The dashboard thing that you have is, like, so cool. Almost. Right? So they have a little, like, dashboard thing that you can build and you can put in, like, filters or drop downs and stuff like that. And it's just it's kinda clunky. You know, so I don't really use it. But in theory, it would be awesome to, like, put together, like, you know, quality assurance dashboards on it or have some way that, like, AI could help us build those. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** TablePlus makes it easy to visually interact with and access SQL data, ensuring correct development. TablePlus is the first client I've found that truly feels at home on the Mac - the free version is fantastic and gets you a good feel for how things work, and if you find you need more than 2 spaces at a time, the paid version is definitely worth it. I have access through SetApp, which I'd recommend. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** Some of the autocomplete features can get a bit in the way at times. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** TablePlus has enabled me to have access to multiple MySQL databases with easy and complete access on MacOS. ### 5. I use it to connect with the Cassandra database and it provides me with all features I want. Such as a query editor and feature to save data locally. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** It is a very lightweight tool and it is not good or does not provide advance features. So for big databases, it is not a useful tool. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Table Plus is providing GUI to connect and manage remote/local databases from the local machine without facing the terminal screen. It also provides a query editor using which users can run different queries against the database and get different results. It is one of those powerful yet lightweight tools that go on to become a key arsenal in your toolbox for your database management needs. And it supports most of the popular databases such as MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server, SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** Honestly, there is not much to "dislike about this cool and lightweight software but if I must pick one thing that I am not so happy about then I would say I dislike the need to ensure the IP address of the database you are connected to when you are using TablePlus matches your ISP's IP otherwise it will be stuck on reconnecting. And the annoying thing is that you will not be prompted to check your IP address to ensure it is a match. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We utilize TablePlus as a fintech company to view and manage our data tables of user data; Essentially it allows a one-click access to connect to our database, manage them in a quick and timely manner. ### 11. I had to specially ask someone from my team which software he was using to switch to TablePlus, as the software I was using at that point stood nowhere close in terms of speed. In addition, it offers various shortcuts we can use to increase our efficiency even more. All in all, my favorite development since switching to TablePlus is that I now spend much less time waiting for db management softwares to work, and much more on actually focussing on the problem at hand. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** Maybe a joint database left bar,as in I can access multiple database tables at once. That's difficult at the moment. You need to switch to a db, open a tab, switch back to another db, open another tab and then switch back. I would prefer if we had, say an option to extend db details at the left bar. **Recommendations to others considering TablePlus:** Make sure to understand all features that TablePlus provides while using it. I would highly recommend learning the various keyboard shortcuts for extra efficiency. It helped me a lot to focus on the problem rather than the process. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it for SQL db management in the company I'm interning with at the moment. It gives a very nice way to interact and understand the tables and databases used at the moment, works fast even in large data situations. I have ran queries on tables with thousands of entries, and still I got results in a couple of seconds on average. ### 12. It even supports connecting to Postgre and Amazon redshift databases as well. The built-in sql editor supports color coded syntax highlighting which is pretty handy as you construct queries. The sql query editor also features an option to beautify (or uglify) the queries which I use before exporting queries as SQL files. The 'safe mode' (represented by a lock symbol) is a very niche feature of TablePlus which allows me to choose different levels of fail-safes while running queries against a database like, ask for password, warn, silent. Such a feature is particularly useful when you are connected to a live production database. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** The free trial version limits to just 2 workspaces which means, I cannot connect to multiple databases or clusters simultaneously. This is often frustrating especially when I need to connect to live databases for debugging. There is no dedicated button for rollback operation while the commit changes button is on the top toolbar which is not obvious when you are looking for it. Often I write these commands manually and execute them. This is sometimes beneficial too as you won't accidentally invoke these commands on the database. TablePlus also doesn't support running the describe command from the sql editor for Cassandra databases. **Recommendations to others considering TablePlus:** TablePlus is a great tool for interacting with a database as an alternative to use a CLI. Its a pretty light-weight application that doesn't stress your onboard resources. The free trail version is a great way to try out and explore the features of the product and choose whether to register for the full version or not. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** TablePlus help me to connect and query a wide range of databases from one single tool. I can also keep a track of the queries from the history tab which is particularly useful for me on a daily basis. I particularly use TablePlus to connect to Cassandra database clusters across multiple environments simultaneously from different tabs. ### 14. It is easy to download and install. The connection configuration of the database is simple and offers you an organized and very usable graphical user interface, it really complies with the standard for this type of applications. I have used it for very basic implementations on two occasions but only the trial version allowing me to perform: creation of tables, queries, data modification, data filtering among others. In the opportunities that it has used it, it has fulfilled the requirements of the moment. One of the things I like most is that it is a manager that allows you to manage different types of databases without installing different applications for each type. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** I have used this application in different opportunities in the trial version which provides several functionalities that have fulfilled my requirements of the moment. In addition, it has never lost my details or made me sign in again after I initially entered the database details, even after installing updates. Also love safe mode, which is great in case you have write access and don't want to mess up the database or bring your whole app down. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** Sometimes it is not clear what the app is doing. It also does not tell you by default if your access is read or write. That would be the only negative feedback that I have regarding the Table Plus app. **Recommendations to others considering TablePlus:** Free database app. Pretty simple to use and it keeps your older queries in case you don't want to type them out or store them in another app, such a notepad, etc. Otherwise, I love that it has a safe mode, which will confirm before you submit a query - helpful if you have access to write and could mess something up by submitting your query. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Database queries. Due to not wanting to purchase Navicat and not having other options that completely solved what I was looking for I chose to use this app. I came from a Sequel Pro background and wanted a similarly featured app for Postgres. So far this fits the bill with a couple of extra features over the adminer solution. Specifically, the copy as menu is a wonderful addition. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** Coming from Sequel Pro the feature set feels similar and that's a breath of fresh air in Postgres management. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** PostreSQL management. Tableplus is great with its intuitive interface and I can easily work through complex queries in this system and be able to get results. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** It costs $59 to upgrade and you have to pay for it. Not a bad thing at all though, but couldn't it be free? There are other solutions on the market that are decent and free. I guess you pay for great UI. **Recommendations to others considering TablePlus:** Good piece of software. Also a somewhat negative aspect is that the support we have is so good and that being a little-known software does not have a community that supports it so great, but I feel that it is growing and will go very far. **Recommendations to others considering TablePlus:** I highly recommend it if you have the money for the respective license, the truth is that I feel it is an investment that no programmer will regret and that eventually ends up being very beneficial for the time it saves us with such an interface dynamic and capable. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used it on certain occasions and the truth is that absolutely everything has been perfect, the only negative thing is that there are similar free programs, but the truth is that creating databases for our respective systems with Tableplus is perfect. ### 24. Supports most major db types, can have multiple db connections. Switching between data and structure of a table or view very convenient. Custom sql statements can be saved for future use, TablePlus supports multiple statements in the same editor screen. Run statements in different modes: current or execute all. Provides detailed view on table, selected row, and you can see all at the same time: db structure, table, data, selected row content. Provides multiple tabs so you can query, run statements, view contents and/or structure of a table, etc, on separate tabs simultaneously. Overall performance very quick , consumes little memory. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** No Windows version available yet. Trial version restricts to have 2 tabs only. Limited charset features and lacks executions of multiple batch transactions. Roll back did not work as expected. Lifetime license costs $49, a bit higher than average price of other competitor products (considering there are many free database management tools available). The simplicity of the app. The connection manager and groups/tags feature. The fact that it works with many RDBMS. Although I'm using the free version, I found it very user-friendly and very useful for my daily needs. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** I don't really dislike things related to the application. There's a bug that happens sometimes that when you try to connect to a database, the app just stays "connecting", and it's not an issue with the database, I checked that it's working. If you try again, most of the times it connects successfully. **Recommendations to others considering TablePlus:** If you or your company can afford the premium version, go ahead. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Regular DB querying and data management for development and support purposes. I'm a software developer so I use it on a regular daily basis. ### 30. Never have had any issues with the product. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** Updates are great and I see them all the time, but sometimes, almost every time, i launch the app there is an update I need to install. Just slows me down sometimes, definitely not a deterrent though. **What problems is TablePlus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Simple, quick access to some databases where I need to edit some data and don't want to have to do it over command line. ### 31. This appeals to non-tech users as well. **What do you dislike about TablePlus?** The UX can be clunky sometimes, mostly because of the wording of some menus.
