**What do you like best about Barracuda Email Protection?**

Sender Authentication features like DMARC, DKIM and SPF blocks are easy to setup and offer realtime protection and stops many unwanted emails. I can easily add exemptions to domains if necessary. Also the quarantine digest emails from Barracuda are a saviour for administrators time and resources to release emails as users can do this themselves.

**What do you dislike about Barracuda Email Protection?**

Users by default cannot release bulk messages that have not been delivered to their inbox when they access their quarantine digest message from Barracuda. I spend much time releasing these bulk emails and I think if Barracuda can allow the user to manually release these, with perhaps a warning of the potential risks involved, would save administrators time.

**What problems is Barracuda Email Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves Phishing Attacks, BEC (using its own AI and behavioral analysis to detect these impersonation attempts), Account takeovers by sending alerts to administrators. Barracuda One has all the products on one platform and its centralised for monitoring, reporting and remediation rather than using multiple consoles and management products. Furthermore, the EMEA support is excellent. If I raise a ticket the Barracuda support jump on it very quickly and the problem is resolved without much delay.

**What do you like best about Barracuda Email Protection?**

The software was straightforward to set up, with a clear and intuitive user interface that makes it easy to monitor email activity and review quarantined messages. It integrated smoothly with our Microsoft 365 environment and runs reliably in the background without noticeably affecting email performance. The pricing provides a good return on investment by reducing manual monitoring and helping protect the business from costly phishing attacks and compromised accounts. Support and onboarding were thorough, and the AI has been effective at detecting phishing attempts, malicious links and other suspicious emails while keeping false positives manageable.

The main drawback is that some advanced settings and reports can be difficult to locate within the interface. Although the Microsoft 365 integration works well, configuration changes still require administrator knowledge and careful policy management. The AI occasionally quarantines legitimate emails, meaning they must be manually reviewed and released, which can delay important messages. The monthly cost is also significant, so the return on investment can be difficult to measure when no major incidents occur. While onboarding was thorough, more complex support issues can take time to investigate, and the reasons behind some AI decisions are not always immediately clear.

This also saves our IT team time by reducing the number of threats that need to be investigated manually and gives us better visibility and control over email security across the business.

**What do you like best about Barracuda Email Protection?**

Barracuda Email Protection has been extremely effective at identifying and blocking spam, phishing attempts, and other malicious emails before they reach our users. In a hospitality environment where email security is critical, it significantly reduces risk and saves us time by preventing threats from reaching inboxes. The administration portal is straightforward to use, making it easy to review quarantined messages, manage policies, and investigate potential threats. It also integrates seamlessly with Microsoft 365, performs reliably, and gives us confidence that our email environment is well protected. The support team has been responsive and helpful whenever we've needed assistance.

**What do you dislike about Barracuda Email Protection?**

Occasionally, a spam or phishing email still makes it through the filtering system and needs to be reported manually. That said, once I report it, Barracuda is quick to identify the threat and improve detection, which helps prevent similar emails from reaching users in the future. I’d also like to see them add some AI features.

**What problems is Barracuda Email Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementing Barracuda Email Protection, we spent a lot of time dealing with spam, phishing attempts, and suspicious emails that still made it into users’ inboxes. Since rolling it out, Barracuda has significantly reduced these issues by blocking threats before they reach our staff, which helps lower the risk of account compromise and other security incidents.

As a result, our IT team saves time, we see fewer user-reported email problems, and employees can focus on their work without constantly worrying about unwanted or risky messages. The reporting and quarantine tools also make it straightforward to review and manage emails when needed, giving us better visibility and control over our email security. Overall, it has improved both security and productivity across the business. I use this system daily, and it’s been a big help to the business.

**What do you like best about Barracuda Email Protection?**

Barracuda's email protection services are some of the best I've used - not only in terms of the actual spam and phishing protection, but also in terms of ease-of-use for both the user and the administrators. The panel offers a great deal of flexibility allowing us to configure the filters to our need, make any exceptions or blocks needed, and very quickly diagnose why specific mail was or wasn't blocked. It integrates well with our existing mail environment and our existing SSO to allow for easy access as well. Whenever we have had to get in touch with Barracuda for any occasional issue (which is quite rare!) they have always responded very quickly and resolved the issue within 24 hours of our contact.

**What do you dislike about Barracuda Email Protection?**

There isn't really much to say! The admin panel might be a little slow, but after all it is an email panel meant to help you diagnose across tens of thousands of emails or thousands of policies, etc. and they are making improvements on it.

Spam and phishing are basically a non-problem thanks to Barracuda, only occasionally getting through to users. Barracuda also scans our mail for any viruses or suspicious files among other things.

Barracuda Email Protection combines outstanding visibility, fast performance, and powerful AI capabilities. Its API integration with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace was fast and frictionless, filtering high email volumes with zero noticeable delay. The AI-driven detection reliably stops zero-day phishing, impersonation, and account takeovers before they hit user inboxes. On the admin side, inspecting individual user mailboxes, viewing complete header data (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), managing IP blocklists, and seeing the exact disposition reasons for blocked/quarantined mail makes troubleshooting and daily management remarkably simple.

**What do you dislike about Barracuda Email Protection?**

The most noticeable thing myself and my coworkers dislike is since the integration of the AI function we have been getting more emails falsely blocked and/or quarantined and have to spend more time to confirm if in fact it is a false positive as opposed to being a justified catch by the AI.

**What problems is Barracuda Email Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What stands out most about Barracuda Email Protection is the deep administrative visibility, robust forensics, and seamless operational performance it delivers on a daily basis. The centralized Message Log allows me to effortlessly track all inbound and outbound email per user mailbox, making troubleshooting missing or suspicious messages fast and straightforward. It completely eliminates guesswork by clearly showing the exact reason an email was delivered, quarantined, or blocked—whether triggered by IP reputation, ATP sandboxing, intent analysis, or specific content policies.

From an analyst perspective, the platform makes forensic investigations intuitive by giving full access to raw headers, routing hops, and immediate SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication statuses. Having direct control to block, throttle, or allow individual IP addresses provides the precise management needed to stop brute-force spam runs and hostile senders immediately. On top of that, its intelligent AI engine continually analyzes communication baselines to catch zero-day phishing, business email compromise, and suspicious account takeover anomalies in real time. Backed by direct API integration with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, the platform processes heavy email volumes with zero delivery latency, significantly cutting down my administrative workload and letting me focus on higher-level security architecture rather than routine inbox fires. Having get support as well when needed or run into issues is great as well always seems to be available when we reach out to them.

**What do you like best about Barracuda Email Protection?**

I really appreciate Barracuda Email Protection's ability to efficiently filter and sort emails from all users within our company, especially when integrated with Microsoft 365. Its functionality to easily create a readable list of emails makes monitoring straightforward and clear. I find it extremely useful that I can see the reasons behind undelivered messages, enhancing transparency and understanding of email issues. The feature that automatically blocks messages from blacklisted sites is particularly effective, increasing our email security significantly. I am impressed with the software's virus and scam message scanning capabilities, as they provide an added layer of protection against common threats.

**What do you dislike about Barracuda Email Protection?**

I experience a number of false positives, which require me to retrieve messages that shouldn't have been filtered out. This is frustrating as it indicates the filters, particularly DKIM, DMARC, and PKIM, don't function as effectively as they should. Furthermore, I feel that the system should automatically block messages when the email headers clearly indicate a problem, such as a 'KILL Level 6' or when a domain doesn't authorize a specific user. Additionally, the initial setup was time-consuming and took a couple of days to fully configure everything.

**What do you like best about Barracuda Email Protection?**

We've been using Barracuda solutions to help protect and manage our Microsoft 365 environment, and the experience has been very positive. Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup gives us peace of mind knowing our Microsoft 365 data is protected and recoverable if needed. The interface is straightforward, backups run reliably, and restoring data is simple when issues arise.

**What do you dislike about Barracuda Email Protection?**

The reporting and visibility into backup status make it easy to confirm that critical data is being protected. That said, I do wish the filtering were a bit more refined and easier to use. Other than that, I haven’t run into any issues while using this product.

It does a solid job filtering out spam, phishing attempts, and other potentially harmful emails before they ever reach the user.

The GUI/management interface is also straightforward, which makes it easy to review blocked messages, investigate incidents, and adjust policies as needed. Onboarding is also straightforward and there is lots of documentation available if needed.

Overall, it strikes a good balance between strong security and day-to-day ease of management.

Some of the more advanced settings and policies can take a little time to fully understand and configure correctly. Overall, the interface is easy to use, but figuring out why a particular email was blocked or allowed can sometimes mean digging through multiple logs and working through several filtering options.

Well, it mainly helps us deal with spam, phishing and other unwanted or suspicious emails. It filters a lot of this stuff before it gets to the users, so there is less risk of someone clicking something they shouldn't. It also saves us some time since we don't have to manually deal with as many suspicious emails. The pricing is also relatively fair which we appreciate.
