BankPoint is an intuitive cloud-based system designed to dramatically improve and simplify the way commercial banks and non-bank lenders operate. BankPoint is based in McKinney, TX, and has been operating in the banking and lending space since 2002. The company started as a consulting firm helping banks evaluate, select, and implement critical systems such as core banking systems, imaging systems, digital banking systems, commercial loan systems, and related FinTech. In 2006, BankPoint partnered with multiple banks to create a system that fills the gaps that were identified in existing banking and commercial lending systems. What do you like best about BankPoint?

BankPoint helps control the chaos with workflow, mapping to core(s), and working with other software. The software is intuitive and easy to set up. The team at BankPoint is responsive and helpful. What do you dislike about BankPoint?

I have difficulty in finding anything we don't like about BankPoint. When you bring up any features that are missing or could be improved, BankPoint is quick to respond and are receptive to ideas about the software. When they receive a request, they quickly 1) show us how we could accomplish the task through a capability that already exists in the system or 2) find out if changes are feasible. BankPoint will not solve for every want, but they value your opinion and take it into account when developing the software further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering BankPoint:

What problems is BankPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

BankPoint has cut down our reliance on spreadsheets to handle workflow and pipeline reporting. Additionally, in going through a core conversion, BankPoint was critical to our success for getting month end reporting right. They were also able to map to both cores' imaging software simultaneously for a seamless view of what we had in the file before our images were moved from FISERV Director to Jack Henry Synergy. What do you like best about BankPoint?

"Logical Layout, easy to learn"

What do you like best about BankPoint?

Ease of use. Getting data, uploading, docs, notes, etc., is all very intuitive and easy to learn quickly. I primarily use BankPoint on the document side. Both to input all needed loan documents into its database. It also has a very nice Note section to keep track of calls, emails, or any miscellaneous notes that may be needed to keep track of discussions or borrower interactions. What do you dislike about BankPoint?

My only dislike is occasionally, I will notice the loan history may not be in sync with our core system. But that tends to be minor related to an overnight process not running. Once run/updated it gets in sync again and works excellently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you for your feedback! Document tracking has been a growing need we have heard from our users, so we have invested heavily in this area recently. We have more improvements that we plan to deliver in the coming months.

We hear you on the issue you mentioned where BankPoint is occasionally out of sync with your core. Depending on the core system providing data to BankPoint, that is pretty rare but does happen from time to time. We typically find that those issues are due to delays in core reports being delivered to BankPoint.

We will be exploring how we can make it more apparent when BankPoint is not up to date.

- Speed at which BankPoint can be opened, search initiated, and information obtained.

We utilize the Synergy product and the ability to view imaged documents within BankPoints is a critical efficiency; the number one problem I run into as a daily user is a failure to retrieve certain documents from within LoanVantage. We have found that those errors are typically out of our control (e.g., the Synergy API has a file-size limit), but we have been working on improvements around error notifications so you can get a clear picture of the issue.
