I admit that I appreciated the fact that the plugin allows you to view the progress of the backup and that you can restore the website directly through the interface of the extension. If you are a French or European webmaster and you are hosted by OVH in shared hosting, this plugin is not for you. You need an "INT 8". Not being a developer, I have a lot of trouble understanding what you want from tech. In short, they never managed to set up a successful backup. With the help of another plugin of its free version, I managed to understand what was wrong and to fix the problem, to make a full backup, where Backup Guard pro was not able to do so even with the support of its technical support team. Owner Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) 11/24/2020 "BackupGuard Is A Life Saver" 5/5 What do you like best about BackupGuard? I have been using BackupGuard for the past 3 years. It has helped me in countless ways. Since I use WordPress to develop my sites for clients, I create each site on a production site using a set of domain names that I purchased for that purpose. Doing this, I can show progress to my clients as the site is being developed. I use BackupGuard on these sites to backup the site as it is being developed. When the site is ready for launch, I make a final backup and then export it to the hosting platform that will be used for the live site. I set up a simple WordPress site using the client’s domain name. I then install BackupGuard and backup the simple site. I then migrate the exported backup to the hosting site. When the export is complete, I restore that backup and the site goes live. The client’s domain name replaces the production domain name but passwords and user information are restored to the new site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering BackupGuard: Based on my experience with BackupGuard, I would highly recommend it to create backups of WordPress websites. You won’t be sorry. I make periodic backups of the site. On one occasion a new version of WordPress created a catastrophic problem with the theme I created for the site. When the problem was fixed with a new plugin, I was able to restore the client’s website with the latest backup I had created. Recently, I was able to create a clone of a client’s website using BackupGuard and test it on one of my production sites before making any changes on the client’s site. Backup Guard is so easy to use and it works perfectly every time. It doesn't matter how big or small my website is, Backup Guard has it under control. I would highly recommend this product over any other out there. I know, I have tried them all! Did I mention that I purchase the license that lets me sell my websites with Backup Guard installed. What problems is BackupGuard solving and how is that benefiting you? Once I sell a website, it use to take hours to transfer the site to a new owner. Now it takes under 5 minutes to transfer the site. It has never failed. Other backup programs only have a 50/50 chance of transferring the entire site. The nice part about it is that I have been using it for 2 years and have never had to think about it. I know it's there and it is going to work when I need it to.
