Using it I was able to see areas of my network setup that needed improvdments. I was also pleased to see that I had a pretty secure network to begin with but as with all things security, you can never be paranoid enough. **What do you dislike about BackBox.org?** This isn't so much a dislike as an "as to be expected." This is not a tool for beginners. But if you are doing a deep dive into the security of your network infrastructure, you are not likely to be an inexperienced user. **What problems is BackBox.org solving and how is that benefiting you?** As I mentioned above, It is another great tool to double-check my processes. When I work on security, I am always paranoid and assume someone is out to get my system. The beauty of using multiple tools is sometimes one will catch a problem another missed. ### 3. Based on Ubuntu with an XFCE desktop, you can do a variety of jobs designed for cyber security enthusiasts and professionals. You can perform pentest and vulnerability analysis on the data network to test all types of devices. **What do you dislike about BackBox.org?** There are no notable disadvantages. The distro may not store all the tools that a professional consultant want, maybe, but is a distro that is still maturing, however you can use it and give your opinion. My personal opinion is that it is a complete distro, and like everything else, you could find the repositories and tools you need and install them. The ability to customize all aspects of this OS but being able to run out of the box, is bar none. From noobs to pros; Kali may no longer be king. **What do you dislike about BackBox.org?** I dislike that BackBox is built on Ubuntu, Though, this is a personal preference. The other thing i dislike is the oversimplified settings, they go from minimal to advanced.. with no in between. Creating frustration for Advanced users or Confusion for rookies. **Recommendations to others considering BackBox.org:** I would definitely try Kali LInux, Parrot and BackBox all together and choose one to go with. Because, although they are all flavors of Linux, they do have subtle differences and once you start learning the ins and outs, you don't want to have to go back. Features some good cloud penetration testing services. Another great thing is that the online community is very active and you will find easy, quick solutions for most problems that any newcomer may face. Lot of stuff out of the box. Perfect for day to day use and network testing purposes. Stable and customizable. Fast boot up. What makes their forum cool is that the admin is open for tools request. **What do you dislike about BackBox.org?** Some tools need a bit of tweaking, while there’s little to differentiate the package from other live CDs. Some of the tools are not simple for beginners to adapt to and learn about.
