Intuitive and easy-to-use graphical interface for evaluation and integration. Various delivery formats, I like Streaming from the personal, secure and stable cloud. AES-128 encryption for the delivery of my files. **What do you dislike about Azure Media Services?** Setting up takes time and knowledge in the field, I would like more detailed guides so that my clients and I can communicate freely easier and faster. Having support service is expensive. **Recommendations to others considering Azure Media Services:** This service is excellent for your projects in the company and home from the cloud, transfer your multimedia files wherever you want with various formats, I recommend it, try the trial version before starting. **What problems is Azure Media Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have all my files in the secure cloud and transfer with encryption to prevent theft. ### 2. Azure Media Services does now allow to upload and share all kind of media, from videos to audio, images, etc. It can be used with both business and personal accounts, including Microsoft Family, hence allowing to share either with coworkers or with family members. This significantly increases the scope of what can be done. **What do you dislike about Azure Media Services?** Competition is quite big and there are a lot of services similar to Azure. For example Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. While they do not offer the same possibilities and options as Azure Media Services, they are free and should be sufficient for most users. Azure Media is really only for those who need professional media and streaming services. **Recommendations to others considering Azure Media Services:** If you are looking for a professional media service, Azure Media Services is worth a closer look. While there is some competition around, it is made by a well known company and Microsoft Azure has generally become on the internet. If you are however not looking for a really professional service, there are probably several other free alternatives to look into as well. **What problems is Azure Media Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had used Azure Media Services in order to provide shared and streamed media to our clients. For example promotional videos, presentations, etc. This is still being tested and compared with other competitors, until a decision will be made. ### 3. Not only does it feature dynamic adaptive streaming, which does an excellent job of choosing the appropriate bitrate needed depending on browser and other needs, but it adapts to your business needs by only paying for what you need. The price is very competitive and the software is fairly easy to set up. **What do you dislike about Azure Media Services?** It feels a bit half-baked, while the platform itself is rather good, it's not particularly stable and needs some improvement. As of 2019, it feels as if the "Azure" umbrella has been left behind by Microsoft in order for them to focus in newer, better services. **Recommendations to others considering Azure Media Services:** Be aware that Microsoft doesn't seem too focused on turning this into a staple service, which means lacking support and overall bug fixes. However, the pricing is competitive and the platform is easy to use and set up. **What problems is Azure Media Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** Video management and adaptable streaming capabilities that fit our customers particular needs and device choices, with the added bonus of flash fallback depending on the situation. ### 4. Microsoft always does that. they work on a product but don't develop it all the way. You can find a number of bugs but won't be fixed quickly. **Recommendations to others considering Azure Media Services:** Easier to manage than google and aws and other cloud media services. if you already use azure or ms services then you will already be used to some of this. **What problems is Azure Media Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streaming and saving videos in the cloud instead of using our in house services that cost a lot and not easy to use. ### 5. Makes easy sensible instructions. Makes media usage easy and right at your fingertips. Keeps me where I need to be in the process. **What do you dislike about Azure Media Services?** it a bit difficult to use and I feel it should be just a bit more user friendly. Needs to have some tabs that help direct you in the correct places as you go through the program. Could use some extra tabs and files for a bit more organization. **Recommendations to others considering Azure Media Services:** Great for everyday usage for all of your media needs. Azure Media Player takes into account these various formats and automatically plays the best link based on the platform/browser capabilities. Azure Media Services also allows for dynamic encryption of assets with common encryption (PlayReady or Widevine) or AES-128 bit envelope encryption. It can be easily integrated into web and app solutions and gives you integrated content protection. **What do you dislike about Azure Media Services?** Azure Media Player only supports media streams from Azure Media Services, hence outside streams are not allowed here.Flash Fallback features are not available on this tech due to platform restrictions. **Recommendations to others considering Azure Media Services:** Azure Media Player is easy to set up. It only takes a few moments to get basic playback of media content from your Azure Media Services account. It supports most popular screens and devices, and it automatically chooses the best playback format. **What problems is Azure Media Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** Azure Media Player utilizes industry standards, such as HTML5, Media Source Extensions (MSE) and Encrypted Media Extensions (EME) to provide an enriched adaptive streaming experience. When these standards are not available on a device or in a browser, Azure Media Player uses Flash and Silverlight as fallback technology and makes your work easy. ### 7. Live streaming appears to be a very real capability and better yet, it's secure. An excellent feature is Cloud DVR. Check to see if audio only scenarios are supported by Azure Media Player. Video advertising campaigns can incorporate a lot of elements. **What problems is Azure Media Services solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've realized the benefit of being able to incorporate media into apps. ### 13. It’s fairly easy to use and you don’t need an IT degree to work it **What do you dislike about Azure Media Services?** The downside is that it is not intuitive but with that said, I was and am still on a learning curve.
