Amplify is (maybe as many other API Mgmt solutions) flexible enough to serve different approaches. 2. it is not so much the technology (Axway is a solid API management product, but others might do as well), ist is more how one builds up the organisation around the API management that makes the difference between success and failure. start thinking big!!! **What problems is Amplify Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** The robust gateway solution helps us covering all aspects of centrally managing REST APIs and expose them to internal as well as external customers. This is not only the PSD2 mandatory APIs, but also a lot of premium APIs for normal bank customers as well as SME business or big corporate clients. Amplify is used to be the edge gateway for all APIs of Commerzbank. It is well designed to have a focus on the consumer organisation, when configured correctly. Implementation is especially smooth for my team thanks to the CLI, which allows us to programmatically deploy new API specs from Git directly into the registry. This programmatic workflow is essential for our shift-left testing pipeline, and because it runs with every developer commit, we use the platform constantly. Policy testing is also straightforward and user-friendly. I don't have to worry about which gateway brand the API is running on, I simply test the policy and check for the expected 401 or 429 status codes. For instance I could almost build my full platform strategy roadmap after 2 days at Axway Summit Europe. I also like the integration level of the different tools compared to other vendors **What do you dislike about Amplify Platform?** I did not like the policy studio which too tightly integrated with the integration management components. I would recommend to externalized integration management from policy management. Also I don't like the fact that the API Portal is a separate product It should be part of the whole offering one of the biggest weakest of most API strategies is discoverability and observability. **What problems is Amplify Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving an API Economy strategy implementation for governmental capabilities to enhance scalability and synergies of ressources and skills.
