I like that you can get different support plans because it works great for basic free plan as a starting point, and enterprise plan is something that not many companies would use. **What do you dislike about AWS Trusted Advisor?** There are not many things that I don't like. Firstly, importing all bad and good things to csv should be better implemented. I can't really import it well with all services that I would need. Apart from that, I would really appreciate some setting up of CloudWatch alarms as well. **Recommendations to others considering AWS Trusted Advisor:** Definitely headed into a right direction. I would advise to implement the following things. Firstly, a better REST API calls using AWS CLI. Sometimes, it's hard to set it all up and it seems like the Trusted Advisor Support team sometimes doesn't have all answers to that. Secondly, importing customized reports as csv would be really great. I can see that as a custom report that would be uploaded to S3 bucket. In the future, I would consider using DynomoDB to process all the reports. Thirdly, I would appreciate to have Cost Optimization set up a little better with a reference to links about pricing. Pricing in Amazon is not always the most straightforward way and having Cost optimization is surely much appreciated. Easy to add new users. The system is very friendly and the interface is easy to use. The overall network overlays are easy to deploy and the cloud storage is strong. Amazon AWS maintains good updates and the security of this platform is above average. **What do you dislike about AWS Trusted Advisor?** Poor customer service. I was charged even on my trial subscription. The so-called customer service is very poor and slow to respond. I could not believe the low quality support from Amazon. I really expected a lot more from this company. My client was terribly disappointed with the overall customer service. **Recommendations to others considering AWS Trusted Advisor:** If the customer service does not improve, they will not be able to compete in a highly competitive field. I have experienced very slow support and delays in refunds, overcharges and poor quality CS support. The system is very strong from a technical perspective and updates keep the system current. This client desired a strong security protocol and this is very well maintained in the AWS platfom. Some of the backup alarms were spurious regarding ephemeral nodes. **Recommendations to others considering AWS Trusted Advisor:** Just do it... it does what it should do and whatever few issues exist are extremely minor and are generally of the spurious alert kind and not of the missing functionality kind. **What problems is AWS Trusted Advisor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've used AWS TA to detect misconfiguration issues as well as optimize our resource consumption and do some rudimentary security reviews. ### 8. With cloud assets growing in size, it can be difficult to keep track of where you are spending most of your funds, and which assets have any liability gaps. Trusted Advisor is a simple dashboard that uncovers this information and provides recommendations for your to remediate. We've saved thousands of dollars using Trusted Advisor's recommendations. **What do you dislike about AWS Trusted Advisor?** Trusted Advisor is only enabled on an account by account basis. We have split our accounts into 3 different accounts for management purposes, but have to pay for Trusted Advisor on all three. I would like to see Amazon consolidate Trusted Advisor so we don't have to pay for it 3 times. **Recommendations to others considering AWS Trusted Advisor:** Trusted Advisor makes good recommendations on instances that can be reserved up front. AWS has Reserved Instance pricing which can save up to 30% without having to put any funds down up front.
