We were spending so much on standard GPU instances, but switching to Trainium helped us to down down our cloud costs quiet a bit. It works really well with the framework we already use, like PyTorch, so we didn't had to struggle much with setting it up. It has made training our models way more affordable, and we can run experiments much more **What do you dislike about AWS Trainium?** The documentation can be a bit confusing at times. I spent more time than I wanted just searching for specific code examples that matched my exact set-up. It definitely takes some patience and a bit of thinking to get everything configured properly **What problems is AWS Trainium solving and how is that benefiting you?** Basically, the biggest issue we had is the high cost of standard GPU instances. We weren't able to train our models as often as we wanted because it was burning through our budget. Trainium solved that for us because it's just much cheaper. Now, we aren't constantly worried about the cloud bill, and we can actually afford to test new Ideas and run training jobs way faster than before. It's been a huge help dor our team's productivity and keeps our costs down. ### 2. I have trained tons of my models now on Trainium as it's all very fast. Even for training of models with billions of parameters, I never faced a hiccup. **What do you dislike about AWS Trainium?** The cost is one of the factors which AWS can work on to improve. It's quite cheap by the standards but it'll be better if it is priced even lower than its competitors. **What problems is AWS Trainium solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves ease of access and ease of use for everyone to train their models anywhere they want. Just the initial setup was a bit difficult to navigate through. Initially I faced a bit of struggle in getting to know how to use but once I got that, it was petty straight forward. Since there was a lot of data to train on, using GPUs to train made it a lot easy for our do research and build our models. ### 11.
