It makes it more difficult to know which resource you're viewing. They are (generally) competitive across the various cloud providers, but I still think they are too high. **Recommendations to others considering AWS Config:** Have a minimum knowledge of technical jargon as well as what product/service will actually cover your need. You don't need to pay for Lambda, S3 and EC2 when only a simple Instance of EC2 will do enough. **What problems is AWS Config solving and how is that benefiting you?** This is by far one of the best features as you can quickly jump to the service that you need and start working with it. Each service lists its own options which are explained in detail. And help is just a click distance. AWS features have the best documentation you can find and you can adapt their solutions to your needs. The only drawback is that if you don't know what you need, you can get overwhelmed by the multitude of their options. ### 36. Config makes it very easy to observe configuration history for every resource in the account. Custom Config rules allow us to support business specific compliance requirements **What do you dislike about AWS Config?** The service can take a significant amount of time to re-evaluate rules with large numbers of resources. In some cases API errors are returned in the console. Not all AWS resources are supported yet by Config which makes it challenging to enforce compliance for every resource in an account. **What problems is AWS Config solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been able to make compliance part of the conversation for all teams across the organization. By integrating with a ticketing system stakeholders and developers are alerted when they deploy resources that are out of compliance. ### 37.
