"Modern and Customizable, but Setup and Billing Integration Take Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

Autotask is a marked improvement over our old ticketing system. Is has deeper integrations to companion services like DATTO RMM and ITGlue. I like the layout, customizability, dashboards, contracts, and controls. It feels like a modern product. I feel like I have a controlled workflow for how tickets work and operate. Being able to keep track of inventory and how they move through the procurement process is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

It takes a lot of work to get things working properly. The integration with billing is not 100% there, even though we use QuickBooks desktop enterprise. There needs to be an easier way to edit tickets en masse, especially unposted items and invoices. The amount of time it takes to customize is made worse by how much troubleshooting and research you need before you can make effective changes. If you make any mistakes, it takes a lot of work to dial it back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Breath of Fresh Air: Fast, Fluid, Industry-Savvy Autotask Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

Coming from ConnectWise Manage, Autotask has been a breath of fresh air for me. Performance has been excellent, and the overall user experience feels much more fluid—like it was designed by people who have actually worked in this industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

This isn’t really a negative, but the AI isn’t quite up to par yet. That seems to be a common theme across nearly all vendors that include AI components. We’re still working to fine-tune how AI can best improve our workflows and customer experience, while also trying to balance the seemingly impossible task of forecasting costs accurately. I’m confident it will continue to mature and improve over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Service Hub with Room to Improve Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

I like Autotask’s flexibility and how it centralizes our service operations. The customizable ticketing system, workflow automation, contract management, and integrations help me stay organized, improve accountability, and deliver consistent customer service. I value Service Desk Management, customizable ticket categories and form templates, and the tools for standardizing service delivery, improving customer communication, and tracking billable work. I can manage our Managed IT and Physical Security services in one platform, and the customization and automation help us operate efficiently while building the infrastructure for future growth. Our onboarding was straightforward and seamless, so it was easy for our team to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

My experience with Autotask has been positive, but simplifying administrative settings, enhancing AI-driven automation, and streamlining third-party integrations would be valuable improvements. I haven’t fully explored or implemented the AI features yet. I’d especially like greater integration with Zoho CRM, since seamless integration would reduce duplicate data entry and improve workflow efficiency and coordination. "Service Desk is the strongest feature"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

The main dashboard for following up on ticket status and due dates is very helpful for ensuring SLAs are met. Once you customize the dashboard with the data you actually need to see to monitor tickets in a general way, it becomes even more helpful.

Also, once the interface is filtered and customized, it feels very organized and makes it easier to find data quickly.

The stronger part of Autotask is the service desk Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

Workflows don’t always meet the needs to automate as many tickets as we require.

Also, when we need to update tickets in bulk, we can’t edit the company name. That’s something we’ve been needing for a while.

The client portal is not very complete; it’s missing a lot of data, and we can’t customize it based on the client’s needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Business-Critical Hub with Broad Integrations, but Clunky Reporting and API"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

I like that Autotask is the core of our business and serves as our central source of truth. I use it to manage and track support tickets, projects, opportunities, and invoicing, and to measure KPIs across the business. It also connects with many of the external systems we use, including Kaseya products like RMM, IT Glue, SaaS Alerts, and Quote Manager, as well as WatchGuard and LastPass. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

The API is extensive but very complicated and hard to work with. The reporting feels a bit outdated, and project management is functional but not very nice to use. I’d like an MCP layer that connects easily to AI systems and provides more abstraction from the data structure complexity, so I don’t need to be a data scientist to work it all out. Setup was simple, but the more I use Autotask, the more I realise I need to tweak it to get it to do what I want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A reliable PSA platform with room for improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

My overall experience with Autotask has remained consistent over time. It helped our team manage tickets, customer information, and day-to-day support work in one place. The platform is reliable for daily operations, but some areas, especially reporting and customization, still need improvement. That's why my opinion of the product hasn't changed much.

One of the things I liked most was having ticket management, customer information, and remote management features available in a single platform. It made it easier to keep track of support activities without constantly switching between different tools. The workflow is straightforward, and once you're familiar with it, managing daily support tasks becomes much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

Reporting is still the area that needs the most improvement. At times, reports don't display the expected information, such as accurate dates or filtered data, and customizing reports can be frustrating. I would also like to see a more modern interface and faster report generation, as that would make it much easier to analyze data and prepare customer reports. "Flexible Automation and Reporting That Streamlines Workflows"
4/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

What I love most about Autotask is its flexibility. It allows me to streamline processes, automate repetitive tasks, and create reports that provide meaningful insights for different departments. I enjoy finding ways to make workflows more efficient and helping others get the most out of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

I've been using Autotask for 12 years, and while the platform has made improvements in many areas, I believe there are still opportunities to enhance the billing and financial workflows. Features such as the billing platform and the Approve/Post process have seen very few meaningful updates over the years. Modernizing these areas with a more streamlined, intuitive workflow and additional automation would significantly improve efficiency for finance teams and reduce the amount of manual work required. "An industry powerhouse with unmatched SLA management and ecosystem integration."
5/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

Autotask is an enterprise-grade powerhouse that excels at scaling service desk operations. Its SLA management engine is exceptionally precise, offering granular tracking across response and resolution targets, proactive escalation workflows, and unalterable audit trails. The ticketing and dispatch workflows bring complete control and visibility to high-volume queues, optimizing engineer workloads and streamlining triage. Furthermore, its integration with the broader ecosystem—especially bidirectional RMM synchronization, webhooks, and REST APIs—turns it into the central nervous system of IT operations, making the platform fully worth the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

Because Autotask is a deep, comprehensive operational platform rather than a lightweight ticketing widget, the initial onboarding and configuration require a dedicated time investment. Mapping out complex service catalogs, custom workflow rules, and queue structures takes upfront effort, though it pays off significantly once fully configured. "Autotask: A Reliable, Centralized Hub with Strong Ticket Workflow Customization"
4/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

Autotask does a good job keeping service operations centralized without needing multiple disconnected systems. The ticket workflow customization is one of the strongest parts of the platform because it allows us to adapt processes to different customer environments instead of forcing a rigid structure. We also like the visibility into technician workload, contract tracking, and recurring task management. Once configured properly, it becomes a reliable day-to-day operational hub for both reactive support and long-term client management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

The platform is powerful, but some areas still feel overly complex for simple administrative tasks. Certain menus and configuration sections take longer to navigate than they should, especially for newer technicians. Reporting can also require more manual refinement than expected to get clean output for management or customer-facing summaries. Performance and UI responsiveness occasionally feel inconsistent depending on the section being used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Autotask Centralizes Our MSP Operations with Powerful Ticketing and Billing"
5/5
What do you like best about Autotask?

Autotask gives us one place to run our entire service operation as an MSP. The ticketing and service desk features keep our queues organized, with SLAs and workflow rules that make sure nothing slips through the cracks. Time tracking and contract billing are tightly tied to tickets, so billable hours flow straight into invoicing without manual re-entry. The integration with Datto RMM is a big plus, since alerts automatically become tickets and device information is right there for our techs. The reporting and dashboards give us clear visibility into technician utilization, client health, and profitability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autotask?

There is a learning curve because of how many settings and options are available, so initial setup and configuration take some time. Once it's configured to fit your workflow, though, it runs smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
