Autosys is a solid, dependable scheduler for large enterprise environments. It handles complex dependencies well, and once you get comfortable with its structure, managing jobs becomes fairly straightforward. Its biggest strength is stability: it can run huge overnight workloads without drama, and troubleshooting is usually manageable thanks to the detailed logs. On the downside, the interface feels dated, and the learning curve can be steep for new team members. It’s not the most modern or intuitive tool, but if your priority is reliability over aesthetics, Autosys still does its job very well. its price and support and onboarding is relatively easy. We use Autosys for automation of our jobs in SAP ECC, HANA, INFA, MFT environments throughout the organisation. All of the process is automated in the systems starting from triggering the job, getting the log, depending jobs etc. This helped us in reducing huge workload and manpower. Our organisation is big and need a lot of manpower in order to manage the jobs. Currently, everything is automated via Autosys and only few around 20 people are managing this via autosys. There is nothing to dislike but it will take a lot of work to implement and automate this workflow and also learning it is not easy. Reducing the re-work, logging to system putting many t-codes etc all of this can be done and checked in autosys on a single screen which reduces a lot of work for us. It is also easy to monitor the status and all.
