"Simple and Reliable"
5/5
What do you like best about Automate®?

I like how Automate is simple to setup and migrate but also how simple it is to develop automation with it. You can use the built in features/steps but you can also call your own custom stuff (eg. sql jobs, powershell/bat scripts, APIs) and make it integrate seamlessly with your Automate task you are building.

Training portal and help is pretty good. The ability to edit the task file in your editor of choice is pretty powerfull as well and comes in handy for tedious stuff. Haven't had any issues whatsoever! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

I wish there was a visual way to build tasks. Like a flow chart that you can build and within each flowchart item, the actual steps are there. The bigger the task is, the more cumbersome it is to read through in Automate Task builder. Outside of comments, there isn't a good way to put in documentation or notes with each step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Morgan Celley of Automate®

Hi Matvey, thank you for sharing your experience with Automate. We’re glad to hear that setup, migration, task development, custom scripts, APIs, and integrations have helped your team move data reliably between systems. It’s also great to know that the training resources, help materials, and editable task files have been valuable.

We appreciate your feedback about adding a more visual flowchart-style task-building experience and providing better documentation or notes for individual steps. Those insights are helpful as we continue looking for ways to make larger automations easier to build, navigate, and maintain.

Thank you for trusting Automate to support reliable, repeatable processes.

"Easy-to-Use RPA with Fast, Consistent Automation Delivery"
4/5
What do you like best about Automate®?

Automate is very easy to use and, among RPA tools, has one of the lowest barriers to entry. Getting started is straightforward, and the wide range of custom actions helps keep automation delivery fast, efficient, and consistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

There are times when the error messages are lacking. For example, PowerShell will sometimes just fail with “your script has encountered X errors,” and it takes extra work to figure out what actually went wrong.

I also struggle to find documentation that explains what some of the VBA-like features in the expression builder do, or how they’re supposed to work in practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Morgan Celley of Automate®

Hi Karl, thank you for sharing your experience with Automate. We’re glad to hear that its ease of use, custom actions, and low barrier to entry help your team deliver automations quickly and consistently.

It’s also great to hear that Automate supports your complex UI integrations, IP-whitelisted systems, data migration, and cross-system data processes. We appreciate your honest feedback about limited PowerShell error details and the need for clearer documentation around expression-builder features. These insights are valuable as we continue improving the product and our resources.

Thank you for choosing Automate and for taking the time to provide such helpful feedback.

"Fast, Reliable Automation with a Clean UI and Amazing Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Automate®?

I’ve used Automate for about 10 years across various versions, and it has come a long way from being a simple tool (for us) to launch scheduled jobs for file transfers and application calls. The UI is clean and easy to navigate, and once you get the basics down, it’s straightforward to start taking advantage of the additional features.

Automate integrates into many different areas, including FTP, encryption, file moves, application execution, user/task recording, Excel, and database calls, queries, and updates. Performance is incredibly fast and very reliable. We currently have close to 1,000 unique workflows/tasks running in our production environment. I’ve recommended Automate to a lot of people, and I’ve implemented it at multiple organizations.

Pricing/ROI: The cost is competitive with other products in the marketplace. We migrated from a competing product, and the savings were quite significant.

Support: The support team is amazing, and we genuinely enjoy working with them. From account management to technical support, they’re responsive and help you get to an answer (or plan for future enhancements to address the issue). The training sessions they offered were also very helpful for my staff in getting up to speed on the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

There isn’t a ton to dislike. There are a few areas we’ve talked about improving, like having a dashboard that’s better integrated into the management console. Right now, there’s a portal dashboard that’s incredibly helpful, but it requires an additional login and separate monitoring.

Other items are fairly nitpicky, such as stronger reporting and faster, more in-depth object searching. Overall, though, there really isn’t much to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Morgan Celley of Automate®

Hi Michael,

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review and for using Automate for nearly 10 years. We’re thrilled to hear that Automate has helped your team manage nearly 1,000 production workflows while consolidating scheduling, file transfers, application calls, database tasks, and more into one reliable platform.

We’re also glad to hear that you’ve found our support, account management, and training valuable. Your feedback about dashboard integration, reporting, and object searching is extremely helpful, and we’ll share it with our product team as we continue improving Automate.

Thank you for recommending Automate and for trusting us across multiple organizations. We truly appreciate your partnership.

"Powerful Debugging and Easy Automation in an Excellent Product"

What do you like best about Automate®?

Hard question, a lot of things I love: powerful debug, I can automate a lot of very different things, easy to use ... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

The huge change in price from Network Automation to Fortra, no more perpetual license. The product is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Morgan Celley of Automate®

Thank you, Miguel, for your thoughtful review and for giving Automate a 5-star rating. We’re glad to hear that you value the powerful debugging tools, ease of use, and flexibility to automate a wide range of processes.

It’s great to learn how Automate helps connect your LX, SAP, and Salesforce systems, query databases, generate and distribute PDF reports, and validate ERP data. These integrations can make a meaningful difference in efficiency and accuracy.

"Simplifyig Routine Tasks with easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Automate®?

I really like how structured everything is with Automate®. It's easy to understand what each task is doing, which helps both me and management track progress. I appreciate that processes run automatically and are fully visible, making it easier to identify issues compared to traditional scheduled tasks. The support and training are really valuable, being very helpful whenever guidance is needed. I also like that Automate® keeps adding more integrations, which makes it easier to connect with the tools we already use. The main difference I noticed moving from UiPath to Automate® was ease of use, as it's easier to build workflows using the available actions without getting too deep into coding, making everyday work quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

One area that could be better is that it is not always easy to learn everything on your own. The manual is a bit complex and while there are free resources they do not cover advanced use cases. Another thing is that once automations are already built it is difficult to go back and improve them, especially when it comes to better error handling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Katie Wheelock of Automate®

Hi Mayur, thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate it. Love to hear that Automate is making it easier to monitor your workload.

"Efficient Automation with Minor Challenges"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Automate®?

I really like Automate® for its 0 to low code approach for automation, which makes it easier for me to handle automation without deep coding knowledge. It offers multiple actions, with hundreds to choose from, allowing me to easily automate tasks like API connections, UI interactions, and file transfers. This is a feature I love because it streamlines my workflow and processes efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

Automate is full of IT robotic task automator, which means it can automate normal IT tasks that need regular execution, but it is not a SOC native approach like SOAR or XSOAR They could improve in this area. Debugging can be complex with a larger workforce. Also, if the UI of a tool changes, the whole automation breaks because it is a UI-level automator, not a code-level automator. If that can be solved, it would be a better tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Morgan Celley of Automate®

Hi Karsh, Thanks so much for your honest feedback. I’m really happy to hear the low-code flexibility and the wide range of actions are making a difference for you. I get the frustration with UI changes breaking automations and the challenges of debugging at scale. We’re working on improving those pain points, and your input is super valuable as we do.

"Effortlessly Automates Workflows for Maximum Efficiency"
5/5
What do you like best about Automate®?

I like most about Automate® is the ability to schedule tasks to run at a specific time, which makes things very convenient because we do not have to remember to start the process manually every time. Once it is set up, it runs exactly when it is needed. I also like how easily it integrated with our existing systems like CRM and ERP. The platform works smoothly with other tools, which makes it very useful for syncing data and keeping everything updated without extra effort. Another great aspect is the large library of options available on the platform, which makes building automation workflows smooth and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

The interface is good and the features are powerful, but having more beginner friendly guides or training resources could make it easier for new users to get comfortable with the platform more quickly. Also, for people who are new to automation or RPA tools, the initial setup and workflow creation can feel a bit complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Morgan Celley of Automate®

Hi Vikash, thank you for sharing your experience! I’m glad the scheduling and integration with your systems have been so helpful for you. It’s great to hear that the platform is making your workflows smoother. We appreciate your feedback on guides for beginners, making onboarding easier is definitely something we’re looking to improve.

"Effortlessly Simplifies Repetitive Tasks"
5/5
What do you like best about Automate®?

I mainly use Automate® to handle repetitive tasks that used to take up too much of my time, like automating file transfers, scheduling reports, and moving data between systems. It saves me so much time, and I appreciate how tasks that used to take hours now run automatically in the background. I find the software really powerful yet easy to use. When I first started, I didn't feel overwhelmed; the layout was clear, and building tasks just feels logical. Once a workflow is set up, it runs consistently every time, so I don't have to worry about missing steps or incorrect data. I also like how the interface feels more intuitive compared to what I used before, and monitoring and tracking tasks is simpler with features that make it easier to catch and fix issues quickly. The initial setup was pretty easy too; the clean interface and step-by-step setup guides made it easy to get a workflow running quickly, and I didn't need a programming background, which made the process feel accessible from day one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

One thing I have noticed is that some advanced features are not always as straightforward as the basic ones. While the platform is easy to start with, once you get into more complex workflows, it can take extra time to fully understand all the options and best practices. I sometimes wish there were deeper, more advanced training resources to help bridge that gap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Katie Wheelock of Automate®

We're thrilled to hear that Automate® has been able to simplify your repetitive tasks and save you time. Our goal is to provide a powerful yet user-friendly platform, and we're glad to hear that you find it intuitive and easy to use. We appreciate your feedback about the advanced features, and we're constantly working to improve our resources and support for more complex workflows. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

"Streamlined Our Automation, Boosted Productivity"
5/5
What do you like best about Automate®?

I use Automate to automate our business processes and reduce manual work, which helps manage files, store data, and keep everything organized in one place, making our work faster. I appreciate how quickly I can create and deploy processes, improving business processes very fast. Even my manager was amazed at how quickly I could build a solution. It saves us a lot of time, reduces small errors, and keeps our files and data well organized. I really enjoy that most of our processes are monitored and self-correcting based on logic, giving us confidence that the system can handle problems automatically. After switching from Rocket Bot, we found that Automate offers faster development speed and a wider range of built-in actions, making it easier to integrate with other software and create processes quickly, which has significantly improved productivity and reduced manual effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Automate®?

One area where Automate could be improved is in reporting and documentation. I feel it is missing some proper reporting features that would allow users to easily see metadata about the tasks. For example, I had to manually go from folder to folder to get the complete list of tasks in Automate for my manager. If there was a built-in report for this, it would save time. Also, if the interface could be made slightly more user friendly for new users, it would help reduce the time required to learn all the features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Katie Wheelock of Automate®

Awesome to hear that Automate has saved you time and improved productivity. Your feedback about reporting will be taken back to our team and considered as we work on enhancing the platform. We strive to provide a solution that meets the needs of our users, and we appreciate your input.
