I do like the brand recognition that Autodesk has. They have been in the market for a long time and people have likely heard or seen their product offering before so you know they are established in the industry and not a fly-by-night company looking to make a quick buck. I am not the biggest fan of Autodesk Digital Twin's expensive pricing. They are not cheap and I know their competitors offer a version that is a fraction of the cost. Autodesk will say they are using the latest cutting-edge technology but they do spend a lot in marketing so I am sure that is why their pricing structure is what it is. Autodesk's digital twin allows a business to make a digital replica through CAD of a physical asset (let's say your storefront, office building, or factory as an example) and then allows you to incorporate real-time sensor data, so cameras, security feeds, motion sensors, approximate occupancy rates, etc. Our company used this product when we were considering expanding our retail locations to collect metrics on how construction would impact our customers, but I can see how the product would have a ton of uses. It is time-consuming to implement, as a lot of data must be collected and synced to truly create your digital twin. Depending on what you would be using the program for, it could be worth it for some businesses, but for our project, it was a bit intensive. However, once all your data is in one place and your CAD building is finished, you can run thousands of different scenarios and what ifs for security breaches, construction plans, customer flow, etc. to improve your business.
