**What do you like best about Auris Payroll?**

It’s easy to access the dashboard and pull the information I need from the reports. Each month, I can quickly find the numbers I need for external reporting, such as IRA totals, and calculate productivity based on the hours entered. This year I’ve also learned how to use the system more effectively, and I can now onboard employees quickly using the employee wizard instead of sending these items directly to Auris and relying on someone else to enter everything for me. I look forward to learning more about additional features that may help streamline some of my current processes in my office.

**What do you dislike about Auris Payroll?**

Sometimes, when things were accidentally processed incorrectly, it wasn’t caught in time, so sorting out and correcting those mistakes became a bit complicated. That said, I was able to get in touch with the right representatives, and they helped me get everything corrected.

**What problems is Auris Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning the system and entering my own employees and their time cards has saved me a lot of time. It’s also helped me better understand what’s going on and stay on top of everything in real time.

**What do you like best about Auris Payroll?**

The most helpful part of Auris Payroll is the customer support. Whenever we need assistance, we can quickly reach someone who is knowledgeable and ready to help. The platform is easy to use, payroll processing is accurate, pricing is transparent, and we don’t get charged extra for every small change or correction. It has saved us time, reduced stress, and made managing payroll much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Auris Payroll?**

There isn’t much I dislike about Auris Payroll. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be adding a live chat support option for quick questions. While their phone support is excellent and always helpful, having a chat feature would make it even more convenient for busy businesses. Overall, my experience has been very positive.

Auris Payroll helps us streamline payroll processing, reduce administrative work, and ensure payroll taxes and filings are handled accurately. It has also helped us lower payroll service costs compared to our previous provider while giving us reliable support whenever we need assistance. I like that Auris Payroll is thorough, well-structured, and highly intuitive. It gives me a complete, efficient, and accurate solution, providing total peace of mind both with payroll process and coupled by complex federal and state compliance requirements. I use the quarterly reports that help with compliance for our 401k retirement plan and state regulations for overtime and part-time employees' eligibility. I also appreciate our account rep Vik, and the exceptional professionalism he provides to troubleshoot solutions. The initial setup was very easy with an overall platform of adaptability.

An improved longer 800 number for after hours.

**What problems is Auris Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auris Payroll helps me manage bi-monthly payroll for both salary and hourly employees. It ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. The quarterly and annual reports help meet our 401k reporting with state and federal compliance needs giving us a total peace of mind.

I love that Auris Payroll is highly personalized with a dedicated representative who is always available for any needs. I really appreciate the impressive job search support and onboarding capabilities. I like that the platform is straightforward and contains an abundance of information. I also enjoy that it sends me payroll reminders and upcoming important dates, as well as confirms all information before processing. The initial setup was very easy with lots of support.

I think the sheer volume of provided information can be initially a bit overwhelming. However, Auris provides support in that dedicated representative who runs the first several payrolls with you.

The biggest upsides for me are how easy it is to use and the quality of their customer service — they’re responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Auris has made payroll processing smoother, faster, and far more efficient for both me and my clients.

I honestly can’t think of anything I dislike about Auris Payroll. The platform has been reliable, easy to use, and supported by excellent customer service. Every part of the experience has been smooth and efficient, so there hasn’t been anything that stands out as a drawback in my workflow.

Auris Payroll solves the challenge of managing clients across multiple payroll systems. Keeping all of my payroll clients on the same platform has been the most helpful improvement. It creates consistency, reduces complexity, and makes my workflow far more efficient. The reporting features are especially valuable — the reports are clear, well‑organized, and make it easy for me to complete Payroll Journal entries quickly and accurately. Auris has made payroll processing so much easier for us. The system is user-friendly and straightforward to navigate. Whenever we have questions, their customer service has been incredible—they respond quickly and with enough detail that we can resolve issues efficiently and spend more time focusing on our business. We’ve also been able to integrate our 401K and our employee time-tracking systems without any hassle.

Overall, we don’t have much to complain about based on our experience. We did run into some challenges when trying to find the reports that best fit our needs, but we’ve received plenty of assistance in creating custom templates to get what we’re looking for.

Our previous payroll company was difficult to navigate, but Auris has made payroll processing feel much more in our hands. The pricing is well worth it for the time their system saves us each pay period, and it’s been a smoother experience overall.

Casey Kopec was an exceptional client advisor and provided amazing service that truly went beyond my expectations. Even after the sale, the support has remained top-notch. The cherry on top was getting a better price than ADP while still receiving flawless service—kudos!

I’ve been using Auris for a while now, and I have to say it’s impressively efficient. The experience has been beyond expectations largely because of our dedicated client advisor, Casey Kopec. The mix of automation and human expertise makes the process incredibly productive and keeps things running smoothly. On top of that, it’s more affordable than ADP while still delivering flawless service. Kudos to Casey and Auris for making payroll worry-free.

It takes too many clicks to access my paystub, and since it’s labeled as a “voucher,” it’s a bit confusing.

Auris makes payroll really easy for me and gives me more time to focus on other parts of my business. I also appreciate how simple it is to get help from a real person when I need support with Auris.

Sometimes the cost feels a little high, especially since I only have one employee, but it’s still worth it because I don’t have to deal with all the payroll details myself.

**What problems is Auris Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auris takes care of all aspects of my payroll. All I have to do is insert hours worked every 2 weeks and they take care of the rest. I never have to think about how much tax to take out and when the taxes need to be paid. Auris takes a lot of stress out of my business.

Auris handles our payroll end to end. Each cycle runs smoothly — hours go in, pay goes out on schedule, and the filings are taken care of without me having to chase anything. I'm the owner of a small retail business with two store locations plus an events operation, and payroll used to eat up my time. Now it's basically hands-off, funded through Zil Money each run with no hiccups. When I've had questions, their support has been responsive and actually helpful.

**What do you dislike about Auris Payroll?**

Nothing meaningful. We've had no payroll errors, no missed filings, and no issues with pay going out on time. It's been reliable, which is honestly all I ask from a payroll provider.

**What problems is Auris Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Auris, payroll was a manual time sink and a compliance worry — getting withholdings right and making sure filings were done correctly and on time. Auris took all of that off my plate. Filings are handled, pay goes out on schedule, and I don't have to think about payroll tax compliance. For a small business owner juggling stores and events, getting those hours back every cycle and knowing it's done right is the whole value.

I really like that Auris Payroll offers amazing customer support. They're super friendly and responsive, whether I call or send an email. They always answer my questions and follow up, which is very helpful. I also appreciate their portal, which lets me log in and process payroll myself when I want. Their proactive follow-ups, like sending reminders about payroll dates, take a lot of stress off me as a small business owner. It's comforting to know they handle everything correctly and keep everything on time, making sure my employees get paid and compliance is met. Setting it up was also extremely easy.

There is nothing I dislike about it. It's a great service. Takes the stress away, by knowing that payroll is done correctly.

**What do you like best about Auris Payroll?**

One of the things we value most about Auris is having a dedicated representative who is always available to assist with our needs. Our representative is incredibly responsive and helpful, whether we’re setting up a new employee, addressing an issue, or simply have a question.

The website is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to process our weekly payroll and access the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports we need. Overall performance is great as we don't have any issues with the website being down or unresponsive, and we are easily able to integrate it into our workflow.

The pricing also feels fair, and I appreciate that we aren’t charged extra for every small change or correction. Auris has saved us a lot of time, reduced stress, and made managing payroll much more efficient. I especially appreciate the payroll reminders and notifications about upcoming important dates, as well as the prompts to review and confirm all information before processing payroll. These features provide an extra layer of reassurance and help ensure everything is accurate and on schedule.

In our industry, we don't work a lot with AI/Intelligence, but Auris has made a lot of upgrades over the last year that have helped to make our job easier.

**What do you dislike about Auris Payroll?**

Our company has been using Auris (formerly Heartland Payroll) since 2016, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The only feature I would love to see added is a live chat support option for quick questions or minor issues that don’t necessarily require contacting our dedicated representative.

**What problems is Auris Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have any issues or problems with Auris Payroll. Everything is going smoothly and all of our payroll needs are being met.

I’m really happy with Auris Payroll. The overall performance is accurate, easy, and simple. When I need extra support, my dedicated support team responds quickly and walks me through the process. There’s no waiting on support tickets or being outsourced to a help desk; instead, I get to work with the same individuals every time, which makes a big difference. The integrations available align well with the systems we already have in place. Our sales rep, Emily, is extremely supportive, and the pricing feels reasonable for nonprofit organizations.

**What do you dislike about Auris Payroll?**

Timecards report time in hours and minutes per day and doesn't include the time by decimal. As a non-profit organization, we are required to report time by decimals per day, and I currently have to use a time conversion table.

**What problems is Auris Payroll solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auris payroll has saved me so much time during the day. We have almost 150 employees, and it has made my processes much easier and more streamlined. I can rely on the data to be accurate, and I’m really happy we decided to make the switch.

Auris has an easy-to-use platform that I was able to learn quickly. After my first week, I was already processing payroll on my own. I also really like being able to run our company’s payroll whenever it’s convenient for me.

I had a problem with our assigned rep- they eventually changed it so that all team reps responded to inquiries, requests, and problems instead of having to wait on your rep to be available.  I believe they also addressed the team instead of saying "you will have to call our Time and Attendance Team" they will forward your inquiry directly- but Im not sure if that was implemented yet or not.

I love how Auris Payroll makes sure my payroll is processed on time every time, and the process is super quick and easy. I appreciate the support they provide through their portal, the handy email reminders, and the wicked fast response from their customer service team whenever I email them. It's amazing how Auris treats me like a human being rather than just a number, which is especially important as a small business. The initial setup was so easy that I don't even remember doing it, which says a lot about how seamless the experience was.

I don't really navigate the online portal very often, and I've just gotten into the habit of emailing my payroll processing requests because it gets handled so quickly and easily. So maybe encouraging me to process my own payroll that way would help. Also, while I love the service, it's a little bit higher price than what I'd like to be paying, but the customer service is very much worth every penny. So it's a give and take.

**What do you like best about Auris Payroll?**

The interface looks like it will be easy to use and feels non-intimidating.

**What do you dislike about Auris Payroll?**

There is no ability to customize at all. Something as simple as changing the names of pay categories requires calling into customer support during business hours. You have no ability to change employee access levels (a paper form must be filled out for Heartland to adjust that for you, including changing their email addresses if needed). The clock in/clock out feature frequently mixes up "clock out" and "meal break" so this is often wrong on employee timesheets and needs correction. Technical support is hit or miss - you might get a rep who understands the system and you might not. You get a "dedicated" customer rep who is usually not available and the one we had lied about certain features that required 2 months worth of back and forth to discover the truth about from a higher up. Reports are not intuitive and you have to "hunt" them down because they are not where you would think a certain report would be. The on-boarding is not robust, for example, when new employees upload their ID, its often upside down or zoomed in -- meaning Heartland does not provide them a guide or check or fix what is being uploaded. I don't think I can sum up just how much of a pain payroll has been since switching to Heartland.

It's a payroll system. That's about it. It allows us to do payroll on a computer. There is no HR component other than a very basic onboarding.

I also appreciate how user-friendly the portal is, and how easy it is to switch between different client portals when I’m working. It's made payroll much easier and has been a huge time saver, which I really appreciate. The customer service stands out as an incredible value; they’re quick to resolve issues every payroll so I can keep moving forward.

Reports have been my biggest negative. I can't always find what I need, and sometimes, the data I need to extract is too large (we have a big company file) and the report is not concise. The initial setup was also quite lengthy and took several months to get it right.

It’s easy to use with an intuitive layout, although they do give you a short Zoom training before you start using it. Once you’ve gone through it the first time, it becomes super easy. I also like their customer service—if you have a question, you can always call, and they’ll help you figure it out.

**What do you dislike about Auris Payroll?**

They won’t mail your W-4 at the end of the year unless you pay extra. Overall, it’s not too expensive, but there are cheaper payroll services out there, and you get what you pay for. I briefly switched to QB and regretted it, so I switched back to Auris (Heartlad at the time).

Once everything is set up, I don’t have to worry about payroll anymore. They stay on top of new regulations, like MN paid leave, so I’m not constantly trying to keep up myself.

Anytime I have an issue I can reach out to them and get it resolved no matter how wonky the issue is. It is never a fight to get things fixed or adjusted. My payroll stress and time has been cut in half since I switched to Auris.

**What do you dislike about Auris Payroll?**

It is a little more costly that Paychex was but honestly I think it is work it in the end. My day to day stress is majorly cut down.

Any issue that I have I can call them and they fix it. I don't have to worry about them messing something up and not fixing it like I did with paychex.
