As a regional transport infrastructure operator, we are responsible for hundreds of assets across complex terrain. Ground and structural movement has always been a known risk - but until recently, it was something we could only assess reactively through field surveys or after visible damage.
We have been using Augmenterra for continuous, satellite-based motion monitoring, and it has fundamentally changed how we manage risk.
What we value most:
1. Portfolio-wide visibility with millimeter precision
The platform gives us object-level displacement data derived from InSAR, mapped directly to our bridges, slopes, and corridor infrastructure. Instead of commissioning individual studies, we can screen entire regions instantly and drill down into specific assets when needed.
2. Standardized Motion Score & Certificate
The Motion Score (A-E) is extremely useful for prioritization. It allows our asset management team to quickly identify which structures require further engineering review. The Motion Score Certificate provides a documented, auditable output we can use internally and in regulatory contexts.
3. No additional software & intuitive UX
Observer is cloud-based and does not require complex installation. Our planning and engineering teams were able to start working with it quickly, without heavy onboarding.
4. Proactive instead of reactive maintenance
Instead of responding to visible damage, we can now detect accelerated trends early. This supports more targeted field inspections and helps justify budget allocation with data-backed evidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
