Augmedix scribes have made my day much more efficient. I used to try to cram in a few minutes of dictation between patients, or worse, save them all for the end of the day. Now the dictation is done when I leave the patient. My scribe has been with me long enough to know my workflow and how I like my notes. He actually organizes my HPI better than I used to! Like anything else, there's a learning curve. I like to keep my plans very detailed so I can reference them later. Scribes can't read my mind, so it works best if I dictate a few quick sentences to him right after I'm done seeing the patient. Still way more efficient than any other system I've ever used. I was hesitant at first to utilize Augmedix in my medical practice for many reasons. Eventually, my colleague convinced me of it's value and I have to say, I have not looked back since. Once you teach your scribe the way you want your notes for couple of months , they stay with you for next few months and then they leave. This has happened couple of times in last one and half year with me. As with anything new, there is a learning curve, but the Augmedix management team is very supportive and do a great job of checking in and following up. There are very few things I dislike about Augmedix. This is me trying really hard to think of something: occasionally a scribe may not spell check (i.e., there's an obvious typo that they would have caught if they just read thru 1 more time), but this really is not a big deal at all! Varsha, my augmedix scribe, has significantly improved my job satisfaction and productivity. We quickly learned to work well together and my whole team, including my own family LOVE Varsha. Augmedix has significantly decreased the amount of time that I spend on notes an has increased the amount of time I get to spend with my family in the evening. My MDS is friendly and a hardworker.
