"Quick, Easy Visual Sharing with Helpful Transcripts and Viewer Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

What I like most about Loom is how quickly and easily it lets me share information visually. In my work with CreditAssociates, I can record my screen and camera in just a few clicks to walk someone through a process, explain an update, or give feedback, all without having to schedule a meeting. The videos are ready to share immediately as a simple link, so the other person can watch whenever it works for them. This reduces long email explanations and the usual back-and-forth, and showing something on screen is often much clearer than trying to describe it in writing. I also find the viewer notifications, comments, and automatic transcripts genuinely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

My biggest drawback is that the editing tools are pretty basic. If I mess up partway through a recording, it’s often quicker to start over than try to fix it, which adds extra time. Uploading and processing can also lag at times, especially with longer videos, and I’ve occasionally run into audio or recording glitches. As my video count grows, the library can start to feel cluttered and becomes harder to organize. None of these issues are deal-breakers, but they do take away from what is otherwise a very convenient tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Loom Feels Like Magic for Personal, Clear Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

What don’t I like about Loom? Honestly, not much. It’s one of those pieces of software that feels like magic the first time you use it. The idea behind it is great, and the use cases feel almost endless. I started using it at my previous employer, and it was also one of the first tools we adopted when I founded my own company.

We mainly use it for customer-facing work—support cases, explaining things, and sharing ideas—but we also rely on it with partners and for internal communication. It adds a personal touch when you need to walk someone through something, and it makes sharing information easier without having to write page after page and accidentally making everything more complicated. What do you dislike about Loom?

The migration to Atlassian made things like account settings more complicated, especially since we don’t use any of their other tools. Aside from that, there isn’t really anything else I can think of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Screen Sharing That Streamlines Remote Communication"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I find Loom simple and convenient for recording and sharing screen videos. I can quickly demonstrate bugs, explain code changes, and walk clients through new features without scheduling a meeting. I find the instant sharing links, screen and webcam recording options, and comments at specific timestamps particularly useful, and I like that people can revisit recordings whenever they need to. Loom saves me time and makes technical communication and remote collaboration easier. It was easy to set up: signing up and installing the extension or desktop app took only a few minutes, and the intuitive interface let me start recording and sharing right away. Setting up screen and microphone permissions was simple, sharing recordings was effortless, and Loom fits well into my development workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

Occasionally, uploading and processing longer recordings takes more time than I expect and interrupts my workflow. I find Loom’s video editing features somewhat limited, and I’d like more advanced options for trimming, highlighting, and annotating specific sections. I’d also appreciate better integrations with development tools like GitHub, Jira, and VS Code. The pricing can feel a bit expensive for individuals or smaller teams, especially when some useful features are restricted to higher-tier plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best Screen Recording tools on the market with ability to easily share & download videos"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

Loom is my go-to product for screen recordings. The quality of the video and sounds is always good. It is quick and easy to get started and the Chrome plugin makes taking a quick screen recording super easy. The UX and interface are very intuitive to use with plenty of features to use. I've not needed to use the integrations yet but I can see how the Google Calendar integration could be really useful for some people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

The main downside is that a lot of the AI features are not available on the free tier. However, the cost of moving to a paid plan really isn't that expensive and very good value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Loom Makes Screen Recording Simple with Powerful Features and Analytics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

Loom is super easy to use and has a ton of features, if you're needing them. Even just at its core, it's great for simple screen recordings or client videos. It's got a lot of great analytics as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

The free tier is really limited. The paid plans start to add up on top of all the other expenses you have as a business owner if you're a very limited user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Training Videos That Save Time"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I use Loom to make training videos for new employees. I like that people can see me and my screen as I walk through things, and I only have to film it once instead of doing a call every time. The visuals are better for retaining information than written descriptions. Loom is really easy to use, and I like being able to edit transcripts and use Loom’s AI features to write summaries. I also like the file organization system for keeping training videos organized. The pricing is low, and Loom has saved me a lot of time over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I find logging in kind of annoying now because it's through Atlassian, and it's always kind of confusing to get back to Loom now that they're not their own entity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Video Sharing and High-Quality Tutorials, with Occasional Glitches"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I like that Loom is lightweight and doesn’t use much of my CPU. It’s easy to use—pretty much plug and play: I record, send a link, and my teammates can watch. I can invite them to Loom instead of downloading and uploading videos, which cuts down on time. The videos don’t expire, so they’re there when my teammates need them, and they can leave comments if they have questions. I also like the high video quality and subtitles. The overall experience works okay, the pricing is perfectly fine, and setting it up was simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

Sometimes my screen sharing lags and glitches. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with my browser, and it’s only happened once or twice, but I think it’s a bug Loom needs to work on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Screen Recording, Frustrating Call Capture"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I really like Loom’s screen recording. With one shortcut, I can record my whole screen or a specific window, and I like having my little bubble on screen while I talk. It’s a practical way to avoid a call and send an explainer video, and it helps me share what I want to communicate. The AI, editing and clipping, captions, and recording quality are good, and it’s easy to play, use, and share recordings. I also like that recordings are ready to share from the cloud, that they come branded with my brand, and that call transcripts let me see who said what. Setup was plug and play, very easy and friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I find Loom’s call recording capability very bad because I have to actively invite the Loom system user into every call, so it’s not there for many of my calls. It feels like one of the last tools that still joins the call as a user, unlike tools such as Granola that record in the background through a browser plugin. My team switched away from Loom because of pricing and now uses Google’s screen recording capabilities since we’re in Google Workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Instant Training Videos That Save Time"
5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I like that Loom is nice and easy to use. I can record my screen so my team can review important training lessons later, which saves me from repeating the same training for new people or for someone who has forgotten the steps. It saves time and lets remote and hybrid teams explain complex ideas, landing pages, website changes, and email marketing on their own time. My videos are instant, with no rendering wait time, and setup was very easy with a single sign-up using my Google account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I’d like Loom to increase the free usage quota. Instead of limiting me to 25 free videos, I’d prefer 2–3 GB of free storage, with recording length not based on the number of videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Flexible Recording That Makes Communication More Personal"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Loom?

I use Loom for internal and external communications, like showing my team an issue and how to solve it or showing customers how to do something in their account. It’s easier to send a quick video than type everything out or take screenshots, and the video feels more personable and is easy for customers to go back and watch. I can speed up videos, pause while something loads and continue when I’m ready, and restart a recording if I make a mistake or there’s a glitch without exiting and starting over. I find Loom very user friendly, and it solves problems quickly. It also has great editing capabilities, was very easy to set up, and I love the emojis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Loom?

I find Loom’s recording icon and bar sometimes really annoying. It would be helpful if they were pinned somewhere, in the background, or much smaller, since it’s awkward to drag and move them around my screen while recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
