I discovered that it is possible to integrate it with PHP Storm and I'm starting on using it to help on generating few codes. Also, recently discovered that is also possible to generate Wordpress functions to help improve my delivery, not only time saving but also able to satisfy projects special needs. **What do you dislike about Ask Codi?** The tool has evolved a lot over the years and now has a new Sandbox function. The problem I faced the times I used it is that the tool does not take into account all the content of the files that are part of the program I was trying to improve in the Sandbox. **Recommendations to others considering Ask Codi:** For each function, consider writing clearly what is desired to get from the code you are asking for. In my case, from Brazil, even ZIP code address, city and state information requests resulted in a code consuming an API fully working. Also be assured that some coding will be needed to conclude the functions you are asking for. But it worth it! **What problems is Ask Codi solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work with WordPress and Woocommerce sites as well as other sites. For this, Ask Codi helps me a lot with Javascript scripts to solve some specific problems and now, with the WordPress function generator, it is allowing me to create some customizations without the use of plugins. ### 3. As someone who never studied development, I find it the perfect tool to learn and build at the same time. **What do you dislike about Ask Codi?** I love the LLMs it has on it and the team have done a great job in adding more. The only thing I don't like is that I only have 10LLM credits to unlock LLMs (It's not a one-to-one credit to model unlock) - would be great if it were more accessible on any plan. **What problems is Ask Codi solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm not a developer by trade, but tools like AskCodi have truly opened doors for me. This app allows me to build and learn at the same time. Often, I may not know the details on how to do something the AI does, even when it makes some small mistakes, they are usually pretty simple to spot. And better to add images or videos to them. I suggest to just more use cases and examples. **What problems is Ask Codi solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am a marketer, not a professional coder. But usually I need some code snippets when designing websites or something else. Learning to code is hard, and I don't have much time to practice. I can also compare the output of different AI models for the same task and pick & choose the code I like the best. **What do you dislike about Ask Codi?** Unlocking models requires tokens, but as models get obsolete, those tokens ultimately get depleted. I'd prefer bringing my own key to use a model, but not pay to access that model. **What problems is Ask Codi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ask Codi is helping me solve coding jobs, devops tasks, and improving existing code that I've written in the previous-AI past (I am a very poor programmer) ### 6. If I ever changed my mind, I could put the code back in, state what I’d like to have changed, and receive an updated version of the code. I have also been able to code interactive quizzes for my students with the help of AskCodi. Despite my limited coding knowledge (basic HTML, CSS, and a fundamental understanding of JS), I was still able to achieve excellent results. This makes it accessible even for non-developers or those with minimal coding experience. I use it about once a month, sometimes more frequently when designing quizzes etc I have not had to reach out to support too often, but whenever I did, I found them to be responsive and helpful. **What do you dislike about Ask Codi?** For users with zero coding knowledge, this tool can still pose challenges. Even when prompted to provide complete A-to-Z code, the responses sometimes require you to fill in blanks, especially for longer or more complex code. When designing a site page by page, the tool occasionally forgets instructions after some time. For example, if you provide links for image or audio files, it may leave them blank in subsequent responses. For instance, I can't select which branch I Want to clone. And the layout with the chats....seems crowded. That could just be me though. **What problems is Ask Codi solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can do more complex and get larger responses. This could be because of the lower token cost they use. Using Anthropic directly, I run out of tokens quick. ### 10. There is always a new better, more amazing game-changing tool available. It takes time to try them out just to realize that the new tool messes up as much as it helps. AskCodi has worked for me as a reliable chat window within Visual Studio Code which simply works to find bugs and propose code for improvement or to solve problems.
