## Artwork Archive Reviews
  ### 1. Great for keeping information about my artwork organized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie P. | IIllustrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Artwork Archive?**

Artwork Archive helps me to keep a record of my work.

**What do you dislike about Artwork Archive?**

I would love to be able to keep full-size files in the same place I keep the information for each artwork.

**What problems is Artwork Archive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to stay organized and keep track of where each artwork is located at a given time.

  ### 2. Increasing Access to the Arts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Artwork Archive?**

Moving our museum's database online allows for easier access for museum staff, university students, researchers, and the community. When Covid-19 shut down in person visits to the museum, we were still able to connect our community to the works in our collection and easily aid researchers with their inquiries.

**What do you dislike about Artwork Archive?**

The system is not fully adapted to non-commercial museum use, but the staff are committed to improving the platform and highly receptive to suggestions on how to make the platform more useful to an academic museum.

**What problems is Artwork Archive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a cloud-based platform has been incredibly helpful for allowing public access, as well as letting our staff work more easily from home during the pandemic. Being able to upload multiple different file formats to an entry has also allowed us to create more robust files on our collection.

  ### 3. Great platform. Even better company.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Artwork Archive?**

The main things that set the platform apart for me are the ease of use, ease of collaboration (which has been critical during these work remote days), and the fact that the company is constantly improving the platform. As I mentioned in the title for this review, it's a great platform, but the company is what really sets Artwork Archive apart from its competitors. The team is accessible and responsive and goes out of their way to better understand the needs of their clients. And, they actually follow through on their commitments which is a refreshing change from some of the other companies I've worked with.

**What do you dislike about Artwork Archive?**

I don't have anything to add here as we continue to be really happy with the platform.

**What problems is Artwork Archive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think the biggest advantage (after the initial putting organization to chaos part) is the fact that everything is located in one, easy to use place. The peace of mind that comes with knowing everything is organized and easily accessible goes a long way and the fact that there are so many features that help save time and share information with others makes it even better.

  ### 4. Depending on the scope and size of their institution's collection.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Artwork Archive?**

Easily accessible, customer service, smooth interface and record for each object.

**What do you dislike about Artwork Archive?**

A little more detailed information fields, techniques, region of origin. Better search function.

**Recommendations to others considering Artwork Archive:**

A great tool for organizing any art collection! Has the features that are needed to bring any collection into the digital age, easy to maintain, great customer service, and overall a pleasure to work in.

**What problems is Artwork Archive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessibly to the collection, public and within the staff. Have a quick way to update the online catalog, before it was a three step process. A better set of unification and terminology across all records. Storing more information in the ability to add files to each record. Benefits, to quickly create a separate collection and export that information into a spreadsheet etc. To create online exhibitions within the collection and share that with the public.

  ### 5. Recommend Artwork Archive All The Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Artwork Archive?**

I highly recommend this online database / platform (and the company as a whole). Their customer service is excellent. Case in point: I didn't realize I was calling the company founder to ask questions, and he helped me every time. Now, I'm connected to more than just the top dog. But, the fact that he made himself available every time I needed help says something about the company. Everyone is on the same team and super accessible!

One of my favorite things is that I love how easy it is to add files on the go! Artwork Archive is totally cloud-based. So, I can access it on my iPad, iPhone, work computer, and home computer without issue. I also use it in collaboration with colleagues both inside and beyond the hospital community. It's very easy to learn how to use all of the basic functions, as opposed to many of the databases I've been exposed to before. Icing on the cake is that it's very cost-effective. We received a non-profit discount when we signed up!

**What do you dislike about Artwork Archive?**

It's hard to come up with things that I don't like about Artwork Archive. Id pressed, I'd say that I do wish I could add more than ten photos. But, truly, there are plenty of workarounds that allow me to store additional files within the artwork's page. These contain places specifically for records related to artwork conservation and artwork appraisal.

**Recommendations to others considering Artwork Archive:**

Shop around! But, I think you'll find this database is great for all the basics of collection management.

**What problems is Artwork Archive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It integrates beautifully into our new artwork website: art.stanfordchildrens.org. So, now, someone like me (with no programming background) can update the website on my own.

  ### 6. Fantastic resource for hospital art collection

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heidi H. | Arts Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Artwork Archive?**

It's easy for our staff to access and locate art around our campus. Plus donors and friends can utilize the AA website to find their favorite art pieces or donated artwork. AA also allows us to build "collections" or categories of our collection, so it's easy to search these categories and find art pieces.

**What do you dislike about Artwork Archive?**

No dislikes! It's easy to learn the AA platform.

**What problems is Artwork Archive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before AA we utilized Filemaker which is cumbersome because it did not allow more than a few registered users to access the artwork collection via traditional desktop. Because of AA's cloud based technology our art collection can be seen from anywhere even via smartphone!
