## About ArcGIS Data Interoperability
ArcGIS Data Interoperability brings spatial data from many sources into the ArcGIS environment for mapping, visualization, and analysis.

## ArcGIS Data Interoperability Reviews
  ### 1. Over 15 years continues work experience on GIS from ArcView3.2 and now working with ArcGIS pro

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Dispute Resolution | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

I do not hate anything but rather like everything about interrogability

**What do you dislike about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

I do not have any specific issues I dislike or limited dislike

**Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Data Interoperability:**

NON

**What problems is ArcGIS Data Interoperability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

bringing dataset into the same systems. I do receive data from different sources and usually not always align in the same coordinate system

  ### 2. Quickly and easily allows GIS software to directly import a huge variety of associated file formats

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike H. | GIS Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

Simplicity of the Data Interoperability Extension interface and execution

**What do you dislike about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

Occasional lack of clarity as to why some data connections fail - e.g. WFS server connections

**Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Data Interoperability:**

A useful aspect of the Data Interoperability extension is some functionality, e.g. importing .gml files, does not need the extension to be turned on, only installed. This means a small number of extension licences can potentially provide for a bigger user pool.

**What problems is ArcGIS Data Interoperability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting project data from teams internally and externally who use different software.
Converting externally provided data, e.g. GML, WFS services, into readily usable GIS data.
Benefits have been
- Consolidation of various different data parts of projects into singular models which can be interrogated in one window
- Avoiding the need for external conversion services, such as FME software (FME tooling is built into Data Interoperability ext.)
- Greater inter-connectivity with partners and clients, by being able to convert GIS model data into formats that suit them

  ### 3. Beautiful UI, Intuitive Software, Great for Report Visualization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

ArcGIS is the premier software for creating custom maps to showcase geo-data. It is my go-to due to how intuitive and easy to use it is as well as how professional the end product looks.

**What do you dislike about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

Sometimes it can be a bit confusing to integrate things I make in ArcGIS onto webpages.

**What problems is ArcGIS Data Interoperability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it for data visualizations for a think tank I work for. It has made creating data viz which use geographic data much easier and more presentable.

  ### 4. ArcGIS Data Interoperability

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2019

**What do you like best about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

ArcGIS was a great application for geospatial analysis for mortgage finance data strategy mapping and market targeting based on seller servicer footprint.

**What do you dislike about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

The customizable features for the arcGIS web application was lacking. It was difficult to configure and add features to the mapping application for a custom client facing mapping tool.

**What problems is ArcGIS Data Interoperability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seller servicer clients desired a mapping tool to see where certain loan product eligibility rules applied which was dependent on geographic census tracts. The mapping application provided a easy to understand visual solution to clients.

  ### 5. Arc his interoperability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caryn R. | Graduate Student and Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

Easy data transfer from desktop to handheld

**What do you dislike about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

Sometimes limited functions compared to desktop

**What problems is ArcGIS Data Interoperability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Typically for boundary marking lands we own or are trusted

  ### 6. Powerful data tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2019

**What do you like best about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

The data layer in mapping function was helpful and created visually powerful maps

**What do you dislike about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

you had to zoom in and out to get to the right granularity instead of being able to choose freely

**What problems is ArcGIS Data Interoperability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi-layer maps to address relationship between demographics information and business information (company data)

  ### 7. I works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2018

**What do you like best about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

It translates ESRI GIS data into other data formats. It works so I guess that's good. The interface for the quick export and import tools are a bit difficult to understand at first but once you figure it out it's easy to use. I don't use it often but I'm glad i have it when I need it.

**What do you dislike about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?**

the interface on the tools could be more helpful. It took a bit to figure out how the quick import/export tool works.

**Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Data Interoperability:**

Use it if you need to turn data into other data.

**What problems is ArcGIS Data Interoperability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I translate data to Garmin files sometimes, but rarely us it these days.

  ### 8. Very Useful for quick decisions
