What do you like best about AppSecEngineer?

I consider appsecengineer to be one of the finest learning platform for security professionals either they are beginners, analysts or security engineer. I have taken TryHackme, Pentesterlab and HackTheBox subscriptions as well but appsecengineer looks like a club of all these three. "One of the best platform to learn appsec & cloud security"

What do you like best about AppSecEngineer?

Interactive courses with practical labs that are easy to use and learn effectively. Its diverse from beginner friendly to advance levels covering all aspects of appsec. The dashboard is very intuitive with showcasing achievments like badges,completed challenges etc. The courses are up to date and wide array of courses from k8's,Gen AI LLM,DevSecOps,Cloud Sec,Threat modelling & much more. Plus it has many challenges, sandbox playgrounds, Labs etc. Plus it has curated journey for specific roles & tasks that help you achieve your goals. Overall it has been immensly helpful for me to learn effectively and also easily implement few use-cases in my current role as well. They have nice integration with discord as well for discussion with community. Their customer support is top notch and always able to address any issues if i had. The challenges and wide range of topics help me scale any hurdle in appsec learning i have. I recommend this to anyone interested to learn appsec as its easy ,fun and effective . What do you dislike about AppSecEngineer?

Some of the modules or courses are pretty advanced such as Owasp or K8's. It took me a while to understand as coming from soc background but the learning path helped me align. What problems is AppSecEngineer solving and how is that benefiting you?

There are wide areas of application & cloud security that either some vendors overcharge or dont have included in their modules at all and not provide for individuals. Appsec engineer is affordable and helps address this problem teaching devsecops,cloud security & adv appsec courses that enhances your skills without going through long duration bootcamps. You can choose specific topics and learn the skillset. There are challenges and labs that give practical exposure which is hard to find (for ex,GCP security). The badges upon completion of tasks helps you to showcase to your peers & manager to get good recognition within team and share your knowledge. It has also helped me identify the underlying issues and rectify them in my current company. Thanks to the knowledge i gained from here . It also has boosted my confidence to take up CTF's and learn both offense & defensive side of security. The course are up to date and new courses being added regularly helps me hooked & motivated. I dislike that the site wasn't working for 2 weeks to sign up and now it won't accept payment. I submitted a help email and a Discord message, both of which have gone unanswered for two weeks. Actually having responsive support would help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's super obvious the whole website is vibe coded, I've just checked in the previous step that I'm an employee or a representative of this page. Plus the courses are obviously AI generated with bad AI generated diagrams and AI voiceover. The whole thing is bad. "Security training that serves more than just developers"

What do you like best about AppSecEngineer?

As an experienced GRC professional transitioning into a more hands-on DevSecOps position, I needed to quickly get up to speed in order to contribute to cloud and application security enhancements. I initially turned to AppSecEngineer to study OWASP topics, but soon realized that this only begins to reveal the platform’s full capabilities. The platform makes it easy for users to select role-based learning paths that cover practical toolsets, ranging from secure coding and cloud security to containers, as well as various security applications and testing techniques. The support team is very responsive and resolves issues quickly. Through AppSecEngineer, which I use very frequently, I was able to leverage some open-source security tools within my organization, which helped strengthen our overall security posture. "Finally Found an AppSec Course That Actually Teaches Real Skills!"

Real hands-on labs - Finally, a course where you actually hack and fix vulnerabilities instead of just reading about them. The interactive environments are solid and you learn by doing.

Nothing as such I know its growing program and I would suggest them to do more and more research on competitors for similar security courses and build more program around security domains. I have bought it 5 months back around and they have added lots of topics post that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AppSecEngineer solving and how is that benefiting you?

So basically, When you come from the GRC back ground which is more process orientated and you targeting something like DevSecOps or Application Security you need to work really hard as they are different domain and I am from non-coding background. This tool really helped me simplifying complex topics. They designed small video on each topic so you don't spent more time and learn the intended topic quickly.
