**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I've been using Immersive Labs for the past 6 months to enhance my cybersecurity skills, and I’m truly impressed with what they offer. As someone who’s always looking for ways to stay ahead of the curve in this field, Immersive Labs provides an engaging and dynamic learning experience. It has wide range of Lab exercises and a hands on learning approach, the gamification and content quality evertyhing suits me and makes this a better platform compared to the competition.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

While I’ve had an overall positive experience with Immersive Labs, there are a few areas where I feel the platform could improve. These aspects haven’t been dealbreakers for me, but they’re worth mentioning for anyone considering it. Firstly there's this steep learning curve which I had to face. Lack of online access is another thing which i do not like about immersive labs but i guess that cannot be helped. The final and foremost being that no certification as in professional certification has been awarded ( from a well recognized body ), this particularly would be helpful in taking jobs.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Immersive Labs is a nice solution to cybersecurity training and addressing challenges like human error and skill gap. It provides a gamified version for labs and gives a hands on experience which has been a game changer for me. It updates according to the latest developments which keeps me up to date.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The interactive labs approach by them is very useful as it is very crucial in cyber security domain to understand the code and implementation part which can not be done apart from falling into a real scenario, so this one thing they are doing is very helpful for learning things.

  ### 18. Fun and varied hands-on learning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suzanna B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

Immersive Labs has a huge and varied catalogue covering lots of different cyber topics and difficulty levels. The different levels of licensing are useful for organisation wide coverage all the way from general workforce awareness to in depth cyber collections. The graded difficulty means there is something for everyone no matter their career stage (but beware the learning curve because, while fun and challenging, it is also steep!). Given the varied content, it makes it easy to integrate into tailored learning paths depending on what areas we'd like to team to upskill in. It also gives our team hands on experience in a safe environment. We get a lot of support from the Immersive Labs team who are open to our feedback and help us understand our engagement statistics, driving more frequent use from our team. On top of this, the gamification, badges and leaderboards give the platform a competitive edge which means engaged users will continue to battle each other for the top spot.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

While you are able to provide feedback about the labs on completion, there isn't much opportunity to highlight questions you get stuck on while in the middle of a lab which means labs can get abandoned. Similarly, in the labs where there is a VM, it is not clear when the VM is not working - for example, you may be doing exactly the right things to complete the challenge, but the VM isn't accepting the answer because it isn't connected to the internet (a quick refresh always works, but can lead to frustration if you're not aware of this feature). This means that an individual might understand the topic and have completed the majority of the lab, but they can't obtain completion due to a small element. Separately, while the gamification and badges are great for demonstrating topics of learning, they aren't easy to compare to industry certifications, so professional credibility can be hard to build for individuals solely using this platform. All this said, the Immersive Labs team are very receptive to feedback so these are not permanent dislikes.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Immersive Labs first and foremost provides a great foundation in security awareness for all our candidates that we hire. After everyone has the fundamentals, it allows us to provide a third-party platform for our team to develop their skills in different areas and develop as cybersecurity professionals in a fun and engaging way alongside their day-to-day responsibilities.

  ### 19. It was a great experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I like overall immersive labs. They are best.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

There is nothing to be disliked in immersive labs

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping in learning more about source code reviews

  ### 20. A great platform to improve cyber resilience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I've used Immersive Labs for a number of years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The platform and its content is vast and covers several areas within Cyber Security, allowing end users to hone in on their specialist area, but also dip their toe into other areas which may be of interest. Immersive Labs is intuitive to use and has great reporting capabilities which makes lab/team management easy.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Although I'm present with a license utilisation percentage, I'd really like to see actual number of available vs. assigned licenses to see how many are left over for use.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I landed in cyber security coming from a non-cyber background, so it was great to have access to a significant amount of fundamental labs to ease my transition and set the foundation to move onto some more technical labs to learn and test some new skills.

  ### 21. Awesome Learning Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** G C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I like the challenge of doing the labs. I learn a lot doing them, they are a mixture of fun and frustrating, in a really good way, they make you think about the subject you are learning about and you get a real feeling of elation when you get them all right. Some can be quite punishing but it all adds to the fun. I really rate it and spend quite a lot of time each week doing them.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

On occasion they have quite a steep learning curve, but if they werent challenging they wouldnt be as much fun. If IL was a doom difficulty level, they would be "hurt me daddy"

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The labs help me obtain an all round solid education on all aspects of modern security. This translates well to my role and is used on a daily basis.
Sometimes you dont know what you dont know. And IL helps to fill in these knowledge gaps.

  ### 22. Great for experienced professionals, nightmare for new ones.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quinn H. | Threat Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

Lots of tools, hands-on experience. If you actually already know what you're doing, anyways.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

In my experience with the labs so far, Immersive has taken the easy way out of not helping actually instruct people. They claim that it's so you'll use your own thinking skills and figure things out, but the incredible lack of any guidance whatsoever really just makes it seem like they didn't want to bother creating any guides or having people around to help with the labs. I've solved 25 of the labs so far on my own, and even then I feel I've wasted an incredible amount of time that would have been better spent with actual occasional tips and guidance.

Even things in the "intro" subjects are clearly designed for people who have been doing this for a while and already know their way efficiently around CLIs and a myriad of tools. I don't even know half the time if I'm really gaining much because some things are unsolvable unless you already know exactly what to do or you get a lucky guess. There are no explanations for any of the answers, so you better just hope you eventually understand what you did if you guessed it.

If you get stuck, their philosophy seems to be "oh well!" The only option you have is to hope someone on Reddit or another forum also posted asking for help and got an answer, because it sure isn't Immersive Labs' problem! The only way to contact them is to "report a bug" or "problem" in the lab. So be prepared to give up on your lab for hours until someone replies to you! Even then they literally promise they won't help you - the sparse "briefing" description they give you is it, and they're just there to tell you if your lab is working correctly or not.

Having been an instructor myself, I understand the need for hands-on learning and not hand-holding your students. These labs take it to the opposite extreme of hand-holding which is honestly worse in my experience; completely abandoning you and pretending that's the same as teaching you. Plopping someone in front of a computer with forensics tools and just saying "okay, go" is not teaching. Guidance, tips, etc can all be incorporated in a way that doesn't hand-hold or give out answers.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for training

  ### 23. A lot of fun and very engaging.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mili D. | Reliability Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

Many different labs for a wide variety of security-related topics.
The labs have the right size and often deploy virtual infrastructure.
I feel like I learn way more with this practical approach than just reading a book or watching videos about a topic.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Some labs are a bit outdated, making them very hard to finish.
For example, you must use the Wayback machine to access an old snapshot of a real-world Twitter account.
But sometimes, you can no longer access the old tweets through the Wayback machine.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I passed my CISSP exam five months ago and am starting a new role as an Information Security Architect within my company.
Immersivelabs allows me to profoundly deepen my knowledge about cybersecurity in a way that fits my preferred learning style.

  ### 24. Struggle to get help

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

Being able to go at my own pace and, re-enter and redo labs.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

There is no-one to help if you struggle with completing labs. My preference is for instructor led explanations and assistance not being directed to google or forums. As a beginner instructor input is necessary to build trust in the understanding of basics.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's isn't solving any problems at the moment I am trying to get experience and qualifications.

  ### 25. Simple format - Bitesize learning at your own pace

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul W. | Delivery Manager - Assurance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I can dip in and out when I want to and set my own goals. The format of the learning is simple to follow, gets the grey matter working and doesn't leave you feeling overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Very little to dislike. There are some quirks that you adapt to (like any solution that's provided), but easy to navigate and easy to learn. Nothing negative to report really.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am aware of my skills gap, and having the opportunity to be exposed to my weaknesses and close these gaps is invaluable. The labs continue to help me recognise the things I didn't know that I didn't know! The labs are very enlightening and give me a different perspective on the way I'm thinking, which in turn helps me develop myself.

  ### 26. The knoledge is amazing with Inmmersive Labs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moises A. | Student, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The labs are so easy for understand, and the exercise, practice and quiz, are help myself for my learning. I use only Inmmersive Labs for all and with all plataforms is the best complete.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

All in this plataform is very well, but the topic about certification for complete one path, will be very good for reforced the knwoledge. I think that some animations could be good

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

This platform is very intuitive, easy to use and learn through it, in addition to the fact that its learning guides are quite complete, the information provided is very useful and the laboratories prepare you very well.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solved the same questionnaires about hackers, about cybersecurity, about more tips to be a good pentester, I really like the paths. I think it solves the problem of a continuous learning path, plus you don't need an instructor most of the time to solve the problems.

  ### 27. The best learning platform I have used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dale M. | Senior Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I like that the scenarios are all based on real-world examples of tasks and incidents you might deal with. They react to feedback very quickly and update their labs very quickly too.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

I would like to see a better hints/answers mechanism in place as this would just be the cherry on the cake in my opinion.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a firm believer in analysts/responders being able to use their learning in a range environment rather than the first time being in a clients production environment and this platform allows that to happen.

  ### 28. Best tool for self-learning cybersec

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego S. | Cyber Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I really like that this platform allows me to see my progress related to a whole group of students. I usually use wireshark as a compliment to the networking labs, but for me its enough with the included labs and exercises.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

I dont like that some objectives or roles wont show the completion progress related to the available labs, but show it regarding the overall labs, which are not wholly available to me, so it's not easy for me to track my progress unless I go all the way into the list of labs for a role/objective.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Take notes, do your own research and follow your own pace.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to get hands-on experience with some of the most actual topics around cyber security and information defense, which is directly related to the current role I'm working at right now.

  ### 29. Never thought I would be good at cyber-stuff!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rita O. | Apprentice, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The way a topic - that appears to be difficult - is well explained, plus the reinforcement of the knowledge throught the interactive games. It has been a very educational and funny experience to learn about cybersecurity

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Some labs require more time than what it's said in their description and are only rewarded with 10 points.
Also, I would recommend more variety in the dynamic of the games, they're fun! but it would be nice to play different types of games.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Don't let the words "cybersecurity", "risk", "hacking" and so on make you think that these topics are only addressed to professionals of the informatics. As the lessons said: this is the responsibility of everybody; and we all can learn this subject in a very easy way thanks to Immersive Labs.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm being way more conscious in the way I interact with not only my digital information but also the physical one. My knowledge in cybersecurity will sure give me a boost in my professional and personal development

  ### 30. Immersive Labs is the best online platform to learn. Widely recomended.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andres Enrique R. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I like the independence and how intuitive it's presented. I like too that there are people in the same sequence and it is of the competitive type. I'm very satisfied.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

In my point of view, It's a bit awkward that at times it's difficult to find a way forward, at first he appeared to me but then it stopped. Nevertheless, I like the platform.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it solves what is related to the lack of technological education for which cyber insecurity has been increasing. Train more people to face this technological reality and full of fraud risks and others.

  ### 31. Best learning platform from security analyst perspective.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maksim S. | Cyber Security Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

These distance courses, in my opinion, are comparable to high-quality face-to-face classes. With experience in the IT field, I have filled in the gaps on several switching issues in computer networks and now I will be able to explain many processes to my colleagues. Most of all I liked the relevance and usefulness of the information, which, unlike most of the existing training materials, can be used in real work. And of course, the biggest advantage is up-to-date courses and information, zero-day vulnerability courses are published just after a few days after zero vulnerability was found!
I recommend ImmersiveLabs!

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Sometimes the courses are very competitive (quite hard) and a small hint would be useful. But I have seen that team is already working on that.
I wouldn't write the negative comment if it was not required :) I recommend ImmersiveLabs!

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm learning the information security-related topics with ImmersiveLabs, and filling gaps in IT education.
The way of learning through the "game" or virtual sandbox is very productive.

  ### 32. A Great Platform to learn and gain hands on experience on tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renuka T. | Information Security Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

Immersive Labs: One of the best interactive learning platforms

All the content present is helpful starting from freshers to the experienced ones in Cyber security
The labs are quite interactive, help you to navigate through the tools and also learn more about using the tool efficiently
Cyber Security related courses such as Threat Hunting, Malware Analysis is something amazing and give you an insight starting from basics to experienced level

Add on: Based on the market trend, new concepts and new attacks related to Cyber Security are updated

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Whenever we are stuck in the lab, if there can be hints to proceed further with the concepts :)

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

A Great Platform to learn skills and gain complete hands-on experience
If the skills are aligned with your daily work at the organization. This is an add on

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits received so far :
Helps to know about newer technologies.
We do not just stick to one path, example with Cyber security you can also study Vulnerability Assessment, Network security which paves way for different options
The hands-on experience which most everyone in the industry asks for is received here

  ### 33. The best way to learn a technology is to go fully hands on approach and Immersive Labs is the best!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak S. | Junior Cybersecurity Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The upsides of using Immersive Labs is the gamification of education. Every new technology is present in the lab environment and rewarding points for solving each small task help us to learn the environment better and with the point system, it pushes us to a friendly competition with the team members of our organization.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

The thing I dislike is the text-based multiple-choice question where the background is the same and this part feels a bit lacking in its immersiveness. I would like to suggest them to tweak that section a bit like the labs part and make it more interesting rather than plain old boring MCQ.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Be patient and slowly you'll get a grasp of the interface of Immersive Labs and you'll surely enjoy it.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being an intern at an organization, I have no clue about the technologies used in the working environment. Immersive labs with its interactive labs makes the task of learning new technologies very interesting compared to reading the documentation or seeing a bunch of videos about that technology. I feel that I have learned a lot about Splunk through the labs than the videos on youtube.

  ### 34. Quality hands on cyber security training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lewis H. | Tier 1 Cyber Security Analyst , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I love how practical it is. For me, watching powerpoint slides and grinding out courses can get quite boring and I can switch off easily. The best thing about Immersive Labs is that it is hands-on and gives you the chance to learn and then do, personally I think that is the best way to learn. It gets you using the command line, typing commands and solving problems and gives you experience with a wide range of tools and subjects. Another thing I like is the challenge and the competitiveness. With the points and the leaderboard it motivates you to do more, to move up the leaderboard and learn things you might have never considered. This is what happened with me and now I am at the top of the board.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

To be honest there is nothing I dislike about the labs. Sometimes it can get frustrating when you have the answer but it needs to be in a particular format to pass, but that's all part of the challenge.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Remember this is a challenge and you will get stuck on a lot of labs as did I. When this happens it is best to leave it to one side, study more about the subject and come back to it. Also, make sure you are reading the info panel, learning and understanding the content. It can be easy to guess or brute force some answers when stuck. But the main thing is that you are learning and improving. My final advice is to keep it up and be consistent with it !. Doing at least 1 lab a day can really make a difference.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From participating in labs my problem-solving skills have improved a lot. The more labs you do the more experience you get, which in turn helps a lot when it comes to any obstacles. When you have that experience you can say, oh I have seen this before so I know what to do, or I wonder what will happen if I try this... From doings labs I have learned how to hack, how to analyse malware, how to use various tools and much more. So it is safe to say there have been many benefits.

  ### 35. Real-World Challenge-Filled Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph V. | Cyber Defence Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I like that Immersive Labs does not spoonfeed you with information but it lets you discover things with guidance. Each person has their own way to study and this platform lets you unleash that.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

I think the platform can use more in-platform walk-throughs of those labs that have been finished so that we can learn the approach of other experts in the industry and how they appreciate this platform as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Ensure to make your members understand that this is not the typical learning platform. This will challenge them to learn and not just be "dictated" without interaction. You may use the element of competition to gain appreciation for the platform.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If there would be a dead-end, I would want some sort of clue or finger point to the right direction. There are labs that I would have wanted to learn but if you have no prior experience or knowledge about a skill or platform, you would really be stuck. It's a con that's challenging but not really negative in my view. But if the goal is for the consumer to learn, there must be room to possibly "earn" clues?

It unlocks skills as it is a very experiential platform.

  ### 36. ImmersiveLabs Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose F. | cybersecurity Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

You don´t need to install any other software but sometimes you have issues with the labs because it does not load properly the labs, and also I like the content

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Virtual machines are slow and you can not install the lab on your own machine like other cybersecurity learning platforms whereas you can download the VPN In order to deploy on your own machine

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Have an external monitor to have a better user experience also have a good internet connection, read carefully the instructions, and don't just stay with the basics if you want to progress in your career long-term goals.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My lack of knowledge about cyberSecurity and the basics, sometimes you just need back to the basics in order to understand more complex topics and that's where IML enter

  ### 37. good content and knowledge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

Labs are interesting, content is good and aimed at all skill levels

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

nothing so far, have only completed around 11 modules so watch this space

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

benefits are overall view of cyber security skills/knowledge as well as targeted knowledge for role specific tasks

  ### 38. The best way to understand cybersecurity topics, from beginner to pro

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Security Engineer Jr, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The practice labs and the challenges that present in every category, for instance, if you wanna learn about reversing or some interesting topic about cybersec, immersive have this

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Some labs are slow for instance the windows labs, in some occasions, the labs present some bugs in the part of the paste, some labs don't content info to resolve the lab

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Immersivelabs is a great platform to understand topics about cybersecurity, it is very important not depend on the info section when you try to resolve any lab, you'll need to investigate other sites to complement your knowledge

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my job, my web pentesting skills grew up a lot by the labs about this topic and understanding other topics like reversing, secure code, the CTF labs and my personal development

  ### 39. Bite sized hands-on exposure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan L. | Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The convenience of on-demand labs that provide hands-on exposure to tools and concepts, coupled with the ability to stop and recommence a lab later. A far superior offering to the competitions one-way, video-only 'training'. Having on-demand virtual labs avoids having to build one's own lab environment, and the ability to exit a lab, and resume later with the current state of progress is, well, its akin to "load saved game"!

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

It is not instructor-led, and one is left to 'fend for oneself'; essentially, one relies on "google-fu". For the Java labs, if one has no prior experience, this can lead to training for the answer rather than training for the language.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I innitially started using ImmersiveLabs taking advantage of the TechVets program. When the Army Reserve started to build its cyber-capability under Project Pedlar, I took signed up for the project to gain more hands-on experience with some of the tools, and gain awareness of concepts in new areas such as risk management, ITSM, and exposure to new tools.

  ### 40. Best online training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The gamified platform makes it fun to keep coming back and revisiting it.

Not only do I think the platform is amazing for training purposes... Because of the training I have done on ImmersiveLabs, I have landed a job as a Cybersecurity Analsyt, on more money than graduates with degrees in the subject, at the same company,

I can't state how much I rate the training that I have received through IML.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

There could be more hints. But even the lack of hints means that you have to go out and find answers. The research you do means you may learn stuff you wouldn't have found if you hadn't.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

I have and do recommend it ALL the time.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem I had was that I didn't have a job. Since starting on Immersive Labs I am now a Senior Cyber Security Analyst studying for professional qualifications.

  ### 41. First time using such an incredibly versatile training service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

I love how the info parts of the practical sessions are very concise and easy to understand.
They work perfectly with the practical training activities, and really help reinforce the learning of the task rather than just memorizing old techniques.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

I think an improvement would be some sort of follow-up quiz to help remind users of sessions they have completed. I know that I have forgotten a lot of details relating to some of the tasks, if I don't take notes then I would forget them within a week or two.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Make the most of the amazing skills they provide!

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I am on an apprenticeship program at the moment, ImmersiveLabs has provided me with an excellent opportunity to grow in a technical sense. At the moment, we do not partake in a lot of technical activities during the program, the labs can sate that thirst for action.

  ### 42. ILabs a great teching tool but not much training

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Military | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

points based leaderboard encourages a competitive element. There is a good method of finding labs that are related and the CREST awards scheme is also helpful

I have no comparison with other organisations however we do also another method of learning within the military which is via a very VERY clunky package called DLE and this simply provides you with facts then asks you to complete mini quizzes then states. "well now you have learned level 2 in networking" which is clearly not the case unless you can actually put your knowledge to test. simply remembering a few key facts or filling in a mini quiz with the most likely answer is very dull and not very engaging for the user.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

the answers are sometimes difficult to understand the format required making it frustrating whn the answer is staring you right in the face but might need one less / or one less ". It would be good if you were that close for a tip or hint to populate and state "ohhh your close check the syntax" or similar.

It would help our organisation if there was a better way of running a report on how long on average it was taking the inividual to complete the lab. last time I looked the report gave an output in seconds but this really isnt very user friendly. it needs to log how long a user is active as in not just starung out into space but actively attempting to complete the questions asked.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

I would say that it is a good tool that enhances the users knowledge of cyber but it struggles to teach beyond the monkey see monkey do method. it can lead a user to analytical thinking which is good and it exploits this well but there are presently too many labs to choose from without a clear pathway for certain job types. it would be good to be able to request specific modules such as Azure (wait for project team to spin up a lab), Chrome browser interface etc...

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am assigned objectives by my employer and I am solving them with my amazing skills of google! it has showed me the light of reddit and other support pages I did not know about before. as well as applied thinking!

The world of open source data and how to cut and paste other users solutions is also not to be jibbed at and has a place in professional workplace and skill enhancement

  ### 43. less technical challenges

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rizwan j. | AWS engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

it is not so interactive most labs on the cloud are very basic.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

i am not a big fan of Q&A labs as retention of knowledge from those labs are very low.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is good activity in downtime

  ### 44. Classic Learning Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** monika s. | Cyber Security Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

All the practical labs are so helpful and detailed to gain Knowledge, even the user is new to that particular subject he/she can understand if they go through the info part.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

At this moment I don't dislike many things but the way these labs confuse in some parts to get the real answer is quite tricky also it is good in another way which helps to keep us so active while doing labs.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a Cyber Security Analyst, for me, this immersive lab is so helpful in gaining knowledge in the security world. I worked on labs like junior pentester or SOC analyst Level 1, the practical work on virtual machines helped me a lot.

  ### 45. Immersive Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle B. | Graduate Engineering Trainee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The course content is provided in a clear and easy to follow manner. I particularly enjoy the gamified nature of the courses.
The information layout is fun and easy to read which is a plus for the large amounts of text sometimes given.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Some courses do not allow for alternative solutions that solve the problem. Review courses to help retain information learned would be useful and the lack of this feature is a bit frustrating sometimes.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Immersive Labs has cemented my formal training from university to bridge what is needed in a professional environment. I have noticed an increased understanding of some fundamental cyber concepts.

  ### 46. Cybersecurity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adriana G. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The links to helpful links to sights with more information on that particular lab. I like that you get to actually practice working in different applications and learning cryptography.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Some of the information/steps in the lab are vague so you are not sure how to do the task to answer the questions. I also wish the labs were in order in order to have the needed knowledge to complete more difficult labs.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am doing labs related to Cybersecurity and Security plus. I have benefited from my overall understanding of how certain things work and possible questions I may encounter on the Security plus exam.

  ### 47. The experience has been very good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darrell S. | Teaching Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The options to select paths as well as the variety of labs available.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

The lack of solutions, there are instances where a solution would be more suitable that continuing to look as a problem that may have a comma or period out of place.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

I think it a great learning tool to have at your disposal.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have the opportunity to practice in areas that I don't have exposure to in my day to day activities. That gives me an opportunity to see solutions to some of my real issues from adifferent perspective

  ### 48. Insightful and hands-on experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swapnil D. | Associate, Ayco - Private Wealth Management Technology, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

Insightful reads about security topics and getting to work on the hands-on lab for those topics, like the path and achievement modules to track progress. Leaderboard gives a competitive feel to the entire application.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Because security topics are growing - immersive labs can choose to mark labs that should be re-done in light of recent issues. It should also allow us to read the description of the lab even after completion - so that we can continue to read external resources.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

ImmersiveLabs is a great start to provide security training to your employees.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can train our new hires on security topics very quickly, which helps us avoid common security flaws in our application development cycle.

  ### 49. Very interesting, but some questions feel like my reading skills are being tested

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge R. | Sysops Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

Intuitive, direct, presents concepts in a easy-to-understand manner

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

some questions regarding the real life examples feel like testing my text comprehension skills rather than anything else.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being less careless when dealing with authorization

  ### 50. Frustrating labs on the higher difficulty levels, some technical issues such as poor performance

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Immersive?**

The interactive labs are definitely highlight here, you get to play inside of a VM and do whatever you need for the lab.

**What do you dislike about Immersive?**

Some of the more challenging labs are incredibly frustrating with the limited interacts you can do in the VM and working in a smaller/laggier screen. I don't understand how some of the estimated times are calculated, I'm still relatively new to the security space but it seems like many of them are geared towards veteran users, which is incredibly frustrating trying to learn here.

**Recommendations to others considering Immersive:**

Try some demos and see if it suits your needs.

**What problems is Immersive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting educated on various security topics which overall helps me in my role. I've recognized some of my weaker areas which I'll give more focus on.
