It's free to download and use and works flawlessly. It has many tools, such as migrating your OS from your HDD to your SSD, editing your disk partitions, creating a bootable media for your OS on a CD or a USB flash drive, etc. It also lets you use disk operations like cloning disks, wiping the entire hard drive, converting the disk image from MBR to GPT and vice versa. You can delete all partitions to move your files into one single partition, test the speed of your disk, create backups, erase contents of an SSD securely, defrag your disk, and check its health. We used it in seven systems in our office a week ago, and it worked perfectly as intended. **What problems is AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard solving and how is that benefiting you?** AOMEI Partition Assistant solved the problem of resizing disk partitions and moving unallocated space to the desired partitions. The default Disk Management tool in Windows has a significant flaw where you can only assign unallocated space to a partition if the unallocated space appears directly to the right of the desired drive in the window. So, as all the unallocated space was next to the F drive, we couldn't expand the C, D, and E drives. We had to tackle this issue because the C drive was running low on space from the OS, as many installed applications took up a lot of space. With the help of AOMEI Partition Assistant, we could easily add the unallocated space to any drive, shrink it, and then merge the excess space with the desired drive, thereby expanding it in a way the Disk Management tool couldn't. Since many of our computer systems in the office were partitioned in the same way, we used AOMEI Partition Assistant to shrink and expand partitions or drives until we got a sufficient amount of space in the C drive. After that, we used the built-in disk defragment and health-checking tools to ensure the C drive had no issues, as it would pose boot-up problems if it were corrupted. Like I told in this review, the company I work for depended on a custom software for the inventory, unfortunately they don't have a copy of this software and I was new. They needed to install it to another computer urgently and there is no time to implement another one. That day Aomei saved me some time to just copy the hard drive and install this hard drive to the new computer. It works very well.
