Analyzer allows you to apply your Excel skills into a powerful web-based analytics tool to create in depth insights across a large dataset. It is fantastic for your traditional power users, but not as appealing to a novice user. It has very good (not great) mobile capabilities and incredible flexibility for data management. The visualization is not best in class. There are some new features that get Analyzer closer to par, but still short of modern UI designs on the market. For example, expanding columns by dragging the border doesn't exist, scrolling feels outdated (everything is contained in the pivot box), especially when you are used to sliding your finger to navigate down or sideways on a mobile device or touch screen laptop. Performance can be poor when using some of the advanced functionality or custom MDX queries against a large data set. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Intuitevely understandable design

Can build beautiful charts and graphs and gauges

Group table functionality allowing to pick store-item combinations

Can rename columns to reflect understandable metrics for particular users

MDX and formulas help to build much more on available metrics

Advanced filter is really helpful

Alerts and Sorting rules are available and help to prioritize issues

User guide from strategy companion has been recently available to me and it's much easier to sort out how things work having it

Can't process reports containing large data sets & MDX due to too long waiting time / crushing

Not available in Russian Language - stops some users from using

MDX are really complex, still strugling to figure them out

Dashboarding is incredibly easy...I've seen a lot of BI tools and they all try to do dashboarding but Strategy Companion makes it so easy, flexible, and quick to do.

1. Ad hoc analysis is powerful and simple to use

2. Easy to deliver reports / share reports once you have created them. In addition to the default web view you can export to Excel, Powerpoint, PDF

There is not much to dislike here. It doesn't have all the calculations that Excel has, but its not supposed to be that kind of tool . For a web based tool operating within the constratins of a web browser, the responsiveness and large number of options is amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Strategy Companion team took a very hands-on partnership approach to our implementation. They assisted with our rollout, complex security integration needs, and continued to reach out to assist our business users realize the full potential of the software. There were user pains with the switch as the users were used to the old Excel interfaces. However, all problems were either resolved with training, or reported to the Analyzer team as minor enhancement requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Little to no documentation or support for more advanced functionality. There is a lot of untapped potential just due to no one knowing how to properly accessing it.

The dashboards were easy to create. The product is well suited for our mdx cubes and didn't require a lot of reengineering. Year over year analysis is easy with the product. The tool empowers users to efficiently generate and share reporting models. The ability to develop a report library and quickly manipulate a perspective report to meet your specific need, makes the tool agile for quick analytics, driving daily operational decisions. Group tables are a great way to consolidate different groups of information. Custom measures is a great way to create metrics on the fly. Subscribing to reports also saves lots of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy drag and drop, easy to learn. I like the new features where you can select a list of measures as opposed to dragging and dropping each one. I like the filtering options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Inability to create reusable custom measures and custom aggregates. Can only reference one "Action" defined in the cube and ignores parameters set there. Looks a little dated. A bit buggy.
