"High-Quality, Scalable Recommendations Without Deep ML Expertise"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amazon Personalize?

Amazon Personalize makes it possible to build high-quality recommendation systems without requiring deep machine learning expertise. I especially appreciate how Dataset Groups, Solutions, Campaigns, Recipes, and Real-Time Recommendations automate much of the ML lifecycle, while still letting recommendations adjust as user behaviour changes.

The service scales automatically and integrates smoothly with transactional and behavioural datasets. Performance is excellent for serving low-latency recommendations, which makes it a good fit for e-commerce, media, and content platforms. Overall, it can deliver strong ROI by improving customer engagement and conversion rates, without requiring organisations to build recommendation algorithms from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Personalize?

Preparing clean interaction datasets takes time, and recommendation quality depends heavily on the completeness and quality of historical user behaviour. Model retraining and campaign management can also require ongoing monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Accurate, Real-Time Recommendations Without ML Expertise"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon Personalize?

What I like most about Amazon Personalize is how straightforward it is to deliver highly accurate, real-time product and content recommendations without needing deep machine learning expertise. It does a great job of replicating Amazon’s own recommendation engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Personalize?

The pricing structure can get very expensive, particularly for smaller businesses, startups, or projects with lower user traffic. The ongoing costs of keeping recommendation campaigns active and maintaining inference endpoints can add up fast and scale quickly over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable AI personalization engine for improving recommendations"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon Personalize?

What I like most about Amazon Personalize is how easy it becomes to test and deploy recommendation models without having to build everything from scratch. The service handles data ingestion, training, and real-time inference in a structured way, which saves a lot of manual work. The performance is solid, and the API responses are consistently fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Personalize?

It requires a clean dataset to work well, and preparing that data takes time. Costs can also rise if you run multiple campaigns or real-time inference at scale. Apart from that, the documentation is good, but some examples could be more practical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Accurate, Real-Time Personalization That Scales Smoothly on AWS"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon Personalize?

Amazon Personalize stands out for delivering highly accurate, real-time recommendations through managed machine learning, without requiring deep ML expertise. It integrates smoothly with other AWS tools, scales reliably as usage grows, and helps teams move quickly from data ingestion to production-ready personalization models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Personalize?

The biggest downside is the learning curve for teams that are new to AWS or to recommendation systems. The documentation can sometimes feel fragmented, and tuning datasets and schemas takes careful planning and preparation. Costs can also rise as data volumes grow, especially if usage isn’t monitored closely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful ML-driven personalization without the complexity"
4/5
What do you like best about Amazon Personalize?

What I like most about Amazon Personalize is how easy it makes to implement machine learning recommendations without needing deep ML expertise. The API integration is straightforward and the results are really accurate. It handles the heavy lifting of data processing and model training automatically, which saves our team alot of time. The real-time personalization capabilities are excellent for our ecommerce platform, and we've seen significant improvements in user engagement and conversion rates since implementing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Personalize?

The pricing can be quite high for smaller projects or startups, especially when you're just getting started and don't have high traffic yet. The documentation could be more comprehensive with more real-world examples and use cases. Sometimes the cold start problem with new users or items takes longer than expected to resolve. Also, the UI for monitoring and managing campaigns could be more intuative - it feels a bit complex for non-technical stakeholders who want to review performance metrics. "Powerful AI-Driven Personalization at Scale with AWS Reliability"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon Personalize?

Amazon Personalize stands out for delivering highly accurate, real-time recommendations with machine learning, without requiring deep ML expertise. Its integration with other AWS services feels seamless, which makes it straightforward to deploy and scale personalization across web, mobile, and email channels. I especially appreciate how quickly it adapts to user behavior and how the recommendation quality improves over time as it learns. The flexibility to support different use cases—product recommendations, content suggestions, and personalized search—is another major advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Personalize?

The learning curve can feel steep for beginners, particularly for users who are new to AWS or building data pipelines. Cost management can also be difficult, especially as datasets grow larger or if real-time personalization is used heavily without proper monitoring. Clearer UI-level explanations and more transparent, simplified pricing visibility would make the experience more beginner-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Relevant, Non-Intrusive Recommendations That Improve Over Time"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Amazon Personalize?

I like how Amazon Personalize makes recommendations feel relevant without being intrusive. It’s pretty cool how it quickly adapts to user behavior and gets better over time, so the content actually matches what people are interested in instead of feeling random. It also saves a lot of effort compared to building everything from scratch, which is a big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Personalize?

Sometimes it feels a bit like a black box — you don’t always know why certain recommendations are shown. It can also take some time and clean data to get the best results, which isn’t always easy. And if user behavior changes quickly, the recommendations don’t always catch up right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Machine Learning Recommendations with Seamless AWS Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Amazon Personalize?

Amazon Personalize makes it surprisingly easy to add real machine-learning–based recommendations without needing a full data science team. The integration with the rest of the AWS ecosystem is smooth, especially if you’re already using S3, IAM, and other AWS services. Once the data pipeline is set up, the models train automatically and improve over time, which is great for keeping recommendations fresh. The API responses are fast and reliable, and it handles scale very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Personalize?

The initial setup has a learning curve - especially around data formatting, schema design, and understanding which recipe to use. Debugging poor recommendations is also not very transparent since the models are mostly a black box. Cost can become a concern at higher scale, and it’s not always obvious what is driving the bill unless you monitor it closely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
