It was one of the most widely used Linux image across AWS cloud by muliple companies. I personally liked that it came baked with all the necessary featureset needed for deploying my applications without manually installing features one by one. **What do you dislike about Amazon Linux 2018.03?** It has reached end of support now, so cannot be used instead Amazon Linux 2023 is released. I particularly disliked that it was based only on one distribtuion of Linux, it would have been a lot more useful if it was more of a wrapper on multiple distribution of Linux. **What problems is Amazon Linux 2018.03 solving and how is that benefiting you?** The major important reason we preferred using Amazon Linux 2018.03 instead of any other image present over the AWS marketplace was the usability and preloaded features that were part of the machine right from the bootup.
