The lack of a license management page in Altium Develop was irritating. The component template is restricted in the current package and should be available in the most basic plan. Updating symbols forces reordering of pins in the schematic symbol. The flex layer stack-up doesn't allow for both soldermask and coverlay, making it difficult to edit coverlay. Rather than automatically propagating, coverlay and board regions get deleted with minor changes to the layer stack-up. I can't reorder graphics on fabrication or assembly drawings, making it hard to add a confidential watermark. The git integration is abysmal, affecting back-up on a secondary server. I really like Altium Develop for its strong PCB layout toolkit. It supports challenging packages like BGA and is good for impedance matching and PCB trace length tuning. I wish Altium Develop's wire harness design was as strong as its PCB layout design, so I could use one software for everything. Some commands don't work properly, like the total thickness command not returning the actual value. The number of colors I can select in the PCB stackup is limited to four. I really like the search feature for manufactured parts in Altium Develop. It allows me to search for components, add them quickly, and see their availability status. This feature is extremely convenient because it helps me to quickly identify components, add them to a library for future reuse, and see if they are still valid. I would say it's the visibility of all possible options. Altium is quite a complex tool with a lot of options, sometimes things that can be done in many different ways. And as a result, it's quite difficult to navigate in terms of ergonomics. Perhaps it would be necessary to centralize certain things so that they are less scattered throughout the software, which is something that can slow things down at times.
