I have the settings for mine set to create Elaborate alt text instead of the standard alt text. So far it's working well. I thought it signed me up for a monthly subscription, but I talked with customer support and found out it's only a one-time purchase, what I was seeing is left over from a discontinued subscription feature. The plugin is easy to install and set up with an API key. My company The AEGIS Alliance is currently using Alt Magic to refine alt text for all images on our news site and shopping website.
