What do you like best about Aligni?

What I liked most about Aligni was that it provided a very capable set of engineering and manufacturing tools without the complexity and overhead of a traditional enterprise ERP system. We used it for more than a decade, from our early startup days through substantial growth and eventual acquisition. It handled our parts, revision control, BOMs, ECOs, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing builds in one system. It was approachable enough for a small team to manage ourselves, but capable enough to grow with us for many years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aligni?

Aligni’s biggest limitation for us was that some of the reporting and data-export capabilities were less flexible than we would have liked. As our data set grew over many years, getting certain historical information out of the system or combining data across different areas could require extra effort. What problems is Aligni solving and how is that benefiting you?

When we were a startup, Aligni solved the problem of needing real engineering and manufacturing controls without having the resources or infrastructure for a traditional enterprise ERP system. It gave us one place to manage part numbers, revisions, BOMs, engineering changes, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing builds. That structure was extremely valuable as we developed increasingly complex products and scaled production. It allowed a small team to operate with the discipline and traceability of a much larger organization, while remaining affordable and manageable for a startup.
