It is user-friendly, and the ability to organize different matters and upload relevant documents for context-based inquiries/answers is so helpful. The answers are concise and on-point, and a very good starting point for a lot of legal inquiries. We use it almost exclusively for legal research at the moment.

Alexi is an easy to learn platform, permits uploads of 1-2 documents or voluminous documents. After analyzing the documents the responses to questions are clear, in depth and reference where the information was extracted or cites to relevant documents (case law, statutes, treatises, etc.)Not much - learning new short-cuts all the time and learning to operate the platform to lessen any frustrations. Alexi feels like a great assistant. It can't replace a lawyer, but it can provide first drafts, help flesh out ideas, and provide some initial case law research. Alexi has a very hard time reconciling changes in law (newer statutes and amendments versus older or repealed statutes) as well as how they relate to older case law ( newer cases or statutes overruling older cases). Often, Alexi tries to proffer inaccurate conclusions based thereon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very strong guardrails and connections to Canadian legal sources (caselaw, statutes, etc.) which is something general LLMs are missing and most legal AI tooling (e.g., Harvey) because they are built for larger markets (US, UK, etc.) User interface is very simple/easy to understand; essentially requires no training to start using effectively. Implementation/integration is immediate since it's a web app. Customer support is extremely responsive and willing to customize solutions. I use it daily.

It's very good at producing a legal memo that a very strong associate lawyer would produce at a law firm - perfect for one-off questions that I want to ask external counsel but either need the answer quickly or the legal spend is not justified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Alexi responds well to clear prompts and provides an extremely high rate of accurate references to relevant authorities. The hyperlinks to the authorities and pinpoint references make it very easy to check the veracity of the quote/proposition.

Alexi also does a good job extracting relevant information from uploaded documents.

As with all AI tools, there are occasional 'hallucinations.' This is not the type of hallucination you often read about, where non-existent cases are manufactured, but citing a case for a proposition that the case does not exactly stand for. Because of the pinpoint citations, these are very easy to spot and Alexi saves me an enormous amount of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the language model that is used by Alexi. It is easy to use and the results are quite comprehensive.
