It would be nice to have it be more customizable to our facility in terms of some of the functions. Our organization is very different from other organizations in terms of funding and care provision. We have had many meetings since we went live and have made many requests, suggestions and asks- not a single thing we asked for in any of the multiple meets have been fixed/implemented or addressed again with us. Recommendations to others considering AlayaCare: Improves quality of care, quality of communication and are able to extrapolate incredible amounts of data- there are so many different ways to use alayacare that it is difficult to really capture it. The team that we had to roll out the product and teach us how to use Alaya were the kindest most patient and knowledgeable people I’ve worked with in a long time! Ensures care plan always available; meaning less errors in care provision, able to analyze incredible amounts of data, per free! Able to incorporate all forms that we use (ie: incident reports) etc, Alaya facilitates multi-departmental communication which improves the overall client experience, seems that alaya’s Possibilities are endless! Alayacare does everything needed to ensure quality care. We can schedule the clients, chart electronically, invoice and do payroll directly from one platform....and we can access it from anywhere we have internet access. Printing of client charts needs some work and the data exploration in real time would be a huge benefit. It would be great if things that need to be fixed could be done a bit faster. Update the App to utilizing the system would make it easier for the field staff - adding the care plans, ordering supplies, automated provider reports and ability to access discharged clients. We have noticed many benefits with using Alayacare a few of which are: seeing the client charts in real time and when a client or a nurse calls for assistance we have all the information needed; using the Employee finder we can assign a client to a nurse in that area to minimize travel time for the nurse. The new APR process has proven less rejected visits for payment. The ability to upload photos of clients wounds during the different stages of healing shows a clear view. The program is so easy to use. There is space for any information you could possibly need for field staff to know. Sometimes there are glitches and patients names to not come up in a search so 2 patient files are created which can cause some billing issues as well as sometimes it kicks out the staff scheduled for a patient and just makes it a vacant visit which can be confusing to our field staff as it does not come up on their schedule. The things I like best about this software definitely is the ability to offer shifts to my care staff, that feature is great, I also like that you can go in and easily block out requested off days for staff and the "Do not send" feature to make sure you do not send the wrong caregiver to a client is also amazing. I also like the activity feed on my main page. Their customer service is great, I just think that the software needs a lot of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about AlayaCare? To be clear the list is long... \* This software is slow, I mean slow to the point that our boss bought us new computers when we switched to this software thinking our old computers couldn't handle the new program... Wrong. We got brand new computers and the software still is slow as can be to the point of you thinking your internet is down, or that your computer froze, nope it is just slow as can be AlayaCare. \* The app also runs slow, it does not matter the device, our caregivers are constantly calling us telling us that app is not working, almost daily we get calls, it is usually just taking so long to load that the caregivers think it isn't working. \* The system doesn't tell me if I accidentally overbook a caregiver. This is a huge problem. It will however tell me if a client is overbooked but not a caregiver, this is a huge problem because a caregiver cannot be in two places at one time, it wont hurt a client if 2 people show up but it will hurt a client if nobody shows up. The fact that is warns me of overbooking the client but not the person providing the care is bizarre. \* There are too many places to leave client notes. Often we cannot find a note because to be clear they are everywhere, client notes, shift notes, progress notes, provider notes, OMG! Can we just have one very organized, centrally located notes section. It makes keeping up with all of the notes next to impossible. Things get missed, it is not good. \* I really dislike that there isn't a way to print out an easily readable schedule for the client. They print out all disfigured and barely readable, also one month prints on several pages... Why? Our last program printed out one very neat and organized monthly calendars of the schedule so I could print them and hand them to my clients to post in their homes so they knew who was coming and when. This has been very upsetting, instead of just hitting print, I now have to pull up Microsoft word and type out, by hand, a calendar with each client's schedule, if they need one. This is a huge inconvenience. \* I dislike that there is not a way to see all of the shifts in an entire week. Our last program had a screen where you could see all 7 days in the week at the top, all of the clients were down the left side, and all of their shifts were neatly right there for each day so I could easily see who was where on one screen. It also helped when scheduling people for overnight shifts. I would be able to see that they were just getting off of an overnight shift and not to schedule them during the next day. Now I have to have like 15-20 tabs open at once and flip back an forth all the time to try to make the schedule, this is confusing and frustrating to say the least, then pair that with the system not telling me when I accidentally overbook a caregiver and you have a disaster on your hands. To be 100% honest there are some things I like but those things are so far and few in between that I hate this software. I have no choice but to use it and so I work with the tools I am given. That is it though, no more no less. If it was my choice we would have gone back to our other software program a long time ago. This is an awful system and it is not user friendly. It seems as though it is still in BETA and that we shouldn't even be using it yet. It seems very much like it is unfinished and it is not as reliable to use as our previous software. This software is not structured for a business like ours. Maybe if you are in the Home Health Business only or drop in care this would work for you. What problems is AlayaCare solving and how is that benefiting you? We are not solving much of our business problems, coming from my opinion I think this software more or less creates problems. This software is a daily nightmare to use, especially for me, I am the scheduler. I am responsible for scheduling our caregivers to work with our clients when needed. There way too many flaws in this software to do my job and be successful at it, I do my best, and I work with the tools I am given.
