Aiven does all the nasty work of setting up, maintaining, and caring for my MySQL. It saves me time for coding cool things, not fighting backups. Automatic failover means that my app will always be running no matter what happens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The promised high availability configurations also become buggy and cause unexpected failures. The challenges of installation, configuration, and maintenance still lurk a perfect workflow. The cost of convenience comes at a price, and Aiven is not a cheap solution. Before diving in, do not forget to crunch the numbers, more so if your data needs are low. Aiven takes care of the operational aspects of MySQL, such as installation, configuration, maintenance, backups, and monitoring. This allows users to focus on their application development rather than managing the database infrastructure. I believe two things are good in Aiven; the first is the console, which is easy to manage and understand, and the other is the backups. You can restore it with a few clicks. It feels painless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
